Could Use Some Honest Advice On A Car Purchase

I need a Car ASAP and some help and advice.?

Hi I am 18 years old and am able to make payments of roughly 250 a month. I am having a hard time getting a down payment, but I know with my little check I get(in tips)I will be able to make that amount monthly. I recently was denied a car loan for 10,000. I then reapplied at my bank again for a 5,000 dollar loan and was denied that as well. I do not have any credit history what so ever. As well I do not have anyone who will even co-sign for me. I am honestly just a broke college student in a desperate need of a car. What should I do? It does not have to be anything fancy just something to get me from point A to Point B. Need Help, any advice? I Live in San Antonio, Texas. Quick 20 pts.

Here's the deal. If you want to go into selling cars, start with New Car Sales. The used car market is crazy and you MUST keep your morals outside the dealership lot.

Even with new car Sales, with imports, there's very cut throat competition. Sure the money's not bad. But until you find your feet, you need to take it easy. Try a domestic label. Those are "No Hassle" dealerships. Most of them bring their Morals inside the dealership with them.

Now once you get the hang of the things, you can get into the highly competitive higher paying Imports.

What are some tips for buying a used car from out of state from a private seller?

GET THE CAR CHECKED IN A REPUTED WORKSHOP OR TEST CENTER.Never believe in what sellers say about their vehicle even if they look convincing. They usually want to get rid of their car and will find any way to please you. You are the buyer and you are free to ask as many questions as you want if you are serious about the car. Don’t go to a seller if you are not really interested in their cars(this will affect the buyers who come after you as the seller will be more hesitant spending time after the your stunt) .If there is a service history, get it double checked at the service center.Look for repaints with cheap tools like a PAINT THICKNESS TESTER PEN (they really work).Look for MISALIGNED DOOR PANELS (not applicable to Teslas). Check if the headlights line well with the bonnet and bumper. Its really hard to fix the car back to factory condition after a frontal collision. A car that has been in a front ended will give you more problems in the future as the crash most probably disturbed in the engine.Negotiation. Try to HAGGLE WITH THE SELLER as much as you can. Inspect the car well before setting a price. Start with a 1000$ or 2000$ less than your price. The seller may lower the price to your asking price.

How do I buy a used car from a private seller?

1: Look in the classifieds/sale selling website or drive around to see any cars that are on sale you like.2: do an online insurance quote of how much it will cost to insurer it as well look how much it will cost to run it(petrol, servicing, any known common faults, any recalls on it)3: if your happy with the numbers on cost of ownership, perform a vehicle history check to see if there is any outstanding finance on it, or it has been in any accidents4: contact the owner5: come to a price you can both agree on(you can save a few thousand by doing this)6: go to the bank and get the money, this is best done in the form of a bank cheque which is under their name for the price agreed7: hand over the cheque, he hands over the keys.8: Drive straight home.9: Get insurance on it and get it registered under your name(do this over the phone or get another vehicle to the places that do this)10: Enjoy your new car.

Just bought a used car...and problems already?

My husband and I usually buy from Private dealers because to be honest, private dealers are risky but let's face it. I think they are also more upfront about things than dealers.

But since I needed a new car since my old car kept breaking down every month, we decided that if we were to buy a car from a dealership, the loan interest would also be cheaper so it would definitely help us out!

Anywho, I haven't had my car for a whole month yet and already, it's died 2 times. I have a 2006 subaru impreza 2.5i! My father inlaw, an unprofessional car mechanic (he works on cars all the time...guy thing) is pretty good at knowing what is wrong with cars and when he told me to turn my car on, he knew that my car had a "STARTER" problem. When I turn it on, all lights/radio work but there's a click sound and then nothing.

This started after the first week of having my car and I called the dealership about my problem and they got back to me with a date and time set up. Although I should have brought it in, I did not because my car was working fine and I figured, I want to see if it happens again.

Then it happened again this past weekend.

I am taking it in TODAY and demanding them to look at it.

What can I LEGALLY say and DO to make them fix it since I know there IS a problem with my car? I JUST bought the car not even a month ago, I have warranty on it (limited). Can I claim that they sold me a lemon car???

AUTO CHECK & CAR FAX says the car is CLEAR with no reported accidents and has really good ratings but to me, this car seems to have been in an UNREPORTED accident BECAUSE, I debadged the car last week and the front emblem had a huge crack across it. So when I pulled the emblem off, the badge actually fell apart. So obviously, the previous owner ran into a wall or something. Thus, the starter problem????

What do you think!!?!?

HELP!
