Could You See The Democrat

Who would you least like to see as the Democratic candidate for President in 2020?

Hillary Clinton. Between her years of public service and impeccable record, she absolutely deserves to be the first woman president. She lost in 2016 because of the large portion of racism and sexism in this country and the moderate Republicans that are willing to look the other way to further their idiotic agenda. Since Trump will definitely be impeached by 2020 for literally OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE by firing the man investigating him for TREASON, the racist wing of the Republican Party will have no major candidate to support and eventually go into hiding. This will give Hillary a real chance to correct the mistakes she made last time and unify her party against the Republican candidate (who will 100% be a white male) and fulfill her destiny to break the glass ceiling. It needs to happen, we can't suffer through another president who is unqualified in every way. Honestly, among the long list of Democrats running in 2020, I don't see anyone who truly understands her party the way she does. She is a good woman, honerable person, and made a great First Lady, and given one more chance, she would trounce the republican and undo the damage the racist, cheating, homophobic, transphobic, disgusting, mysoginistic LIAR who is making it his mission to turn the country back to a time when slavery was legal and women were considered lesser(or in his opinion, Make America Great Again.)Please nominate Hillary, she's the best chance we've got.Update: I read the question wrong. Who I'd least like to see is a cis-gendered white male. Doesn't anyone understand that the future is female?!

Who do you see as the Democratic front runner in 2020?

A2A:there are still a couple of years before the real action in the primaries begins, so it’s really premature to say (or even care) who the current front-runner is. I think back to 1990 - or perhaps 2006 for a better analog. In 1990, the “smart” money was on guys like Lloyd Bentsen and Mario Cuomo - big names with long pedigrees, Neither even campaigned. In 2006, who thought Barack Obama would challenge - and topple, as it turned out - Hillary Clinton? The Republicans are a mess right now, but the Democratic party is in nearly as bad shape, as it struggles to come to grips with who its leaders actually are. It’s more difficult for the Democrats to coalesce, as they really are a party defined by coalitions of groups with little common political interests.Right now, the front-runners would have to include Bernie Sanders (who is old, male, and white, and not even a Democrat to be honest), Joe Biden (who is also old, white, and male, and must be kicking himself that he did not run in 2016), Kirsten Gillibrand (who appeals to the younger, female portion of the Democratic base, and has really worked overtime to define herself as essentially opposed to everything that Donald Trump does), and Cory Booker (an attractive, relatively progressive - but not stridently so - black man who is relatively young - he ticks many of the the boxes for the Democrats).Further down the list is Kamala Harris, the freshman senator from California who is black, a woman, and though not the progressive she would like you to believe (she was essentially placed into politics by Willie Brown, an extremely pragmatic, centrist, professional politician who ran California for decades), she can say all the right things that touch liberals’ political erogenous zones. But she has a very, very thin resume, and a lot of it (her claim to fame was as the California AG and before that, the San Francisco DA) means that where there is some substance to her career, it is a target-rich opportunity for her opponents nationally. I do not think that, after an amateur like Trump, the Democrats will go with someone with so little national experience. The point is this - right now, I strongly suspect that the person who will emerge as the person to beat in 2020 is not yet known or talked about yet. It will begin to become clear after the mid-terms in November.

How can we engage more people in the democratic process?

As a parent of 2 teenage daughters, I hear the frustration they share with "rigged class elections, popularity vs. content, etc." within their own peer elections. I worry that our youth is missing the truth and honor of "personal integrity" and need to learn democratic integrity first from their parents and then from public role models such as teachers, community leaders and elected officials.

The democratic process should begin in the home with active parenting; not passive or dictactorship styles. Active parenting provides a forum to share and to hear ideas, solutions, praise, criticism, etc. as well as an understanding that one's ideas should always be heard, considered and respected, but not necessarily always taken. This foundation then naturally expands into school where teachers may mirror this type of democratic atmoshere. Additionally, I feel more demonstrative practice is needed within the school system in order for our youth to understand the democratic process on a personalized local level. Washington is far away; OUR community is right in front of us.

One solution may be to link community leaders with schools and to openly invite ideas, internship-for-a-day programs or other activities that marry "the process" with a reality that children understand. If the democratic process is understood and actively demonstrated locally then a national understanding is more easily comprehended.

Of course all ages need to be engaged with this process. If we educate and engage at a younger age, it is a natural concequence that the democratic process will continue well into young adulthood and beyond. The age of 18 gives our youth the right to vote and to be a legal adult; if their upbringing engaged the democratic process, then our Leaders-of-Tomorrow will continue and expand the democratic process.

What would you do if Bernie Sanders became the Democrat Party Nominee?

He had his chance and Hillary Clinton stole it from him.

How do you tell your republican parents you are democrat? ?

I tried asking this question earlier but I was called a whore, dumb, and not experienced enough. So much hate. :(

My family is very conservative republican and christian. I'm becoming democrat and i'm still christian. My parents strongly dislike democrats which is why i'm nervous to tell them that i'm becoming one.

My views are:

•Gay people should be allowed to marry and have equal rights like other people. (I'm not gay but I have gay friends and this is how I feel)

•Abortion is ok for child rape/rape cases (rape is horrible)

•People should have healthcare so their medical bills can be covered

•Everyone should have equal rights so no one should feel lesser than the other (Do you get what i'm saying?)

Ok so long story short, even though i'm proud of what my beliefs are (religious and political), i'm nervous about telling my parents. I'm afraid they'll be dissapointed in me. What can I do? Please don't be too harsh. I had it rough earlier.

Who do you think will win the 2020 Democrat Nomination?

Stormy Daniels. She has the best chance of winning due toHer flexibility is undeniably incredibleher willingness to lend a hand to pretty much any man in need. She works well with the other side of the isle and can swing on both sides of the political fence. She admits that she is a lying, deceiving, adulterous woman who is willing to sell herself to the highest bidder and that she is morally bankrupt. And this makes her the perfect candidate for the Democrats, as she reflects their core values. There is one not so perfect trait for her.She goes against the grain and refuses to tow the party line of lying about what she really stands for and represents. That could make her too honest to be a Democrat and the DNC may refuse to support such a character flaw.

Do Republicans see the glass as half full, and Democrats see it as half empty?

Republicans see a glass of water

Democrats see an opportunity to subsidize the water; prevent its consumption until tested for contaminants; they want to throw away the glass (too dangerous should be plastic); and if YOU can afford bottled water, then shame on YOU! The Dems will take most of your water to distribute to those less inclined to earn their own.
