Counsellor In Australia Job

Do you actually talk to your school counselor?

No! One time he was giving my class a lesson but without warning he said we were being immature brats and collected our papers and left. This is why I have a problem.

1. He didn't even warn the people he was fed up with. He just broke, which signifies he can't handle people.

2. He wasn't doing a very good job explaining the lesson.

Can you recommend a good career advice counsellor in Australia?

Are you in the UK, USA  or already in Austrailia?Try looking up Michael Page; or Page Personnel.  (They are one and the same but different trading styles).  They used to have offices in both Sydney and Melbourne.  Best looking them up on the internet.   They specialise in the top end of the market, i.e. Finance, Sales, Managing Directors, but have links with those who can provide you with other advice sources. Have you spoken to the local Council or the Austrailian Embassy in whichever Country you reside, or approach the Austrailian Government direct.

Who is the best career counsellor in chennai?

The most important thing to keep in mind when you choose a career counsellor is not just what any of these career counsellors tells the individual about her or himself, but how scientific and reliable their process is. Equally important is how actionable the results are in assisting the individual realize the career that she or he picks out after careful consideration of the information that there is on the present opportunities in the market as well.At first glance, it may appear strange that the importance of career guidance and counseling as a means of assisting students has been overlooked as something pro forma.Until recently, before the world was not a global village as we see it today, career guidance had been perceived as a sort of need that was met with the bare minimum effort from those who have always claimed to provide these services. And people had to “satisfy” themselves with whatever mediocre service was available in their vicinity.Thankfully, this is changing, as the country wakes up to the modern age of technology, revolutionizing all aspects of life as it has been traditionally lived in India, including the previously untouched sphere of career guidance in education.Of particular note in this regard is the Lead Career Assessment Test (LCAT), developed by the team at vLEAD Eduventures, professionals from some of the most prestigious centres of education in India and abroad like IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, Eindhoven University of Technology Netherlands, and National University of Singapore.LCAT’s state of the art assessment mechanism and its scientifically curated and unique post assessment counselling methodology that is certain to provide effective and actionable career advice to each individual, is the need of the hour in a field like career planning that has been caught wailing in a web of biases and prejudices.LCAT is a comprehensive assessment that addresses the key areas of professional aptitude, in conjunction with the analysis of the candidate’s personality, professional and career interests, and finally, the work value preference, or the motivation that drives the candidate to seek out a meaningful career. And the icing on the cake is that an individual from any part of the country be it Delhi, Mumbai or Srinagar can avail LCAT as their services are offered completely onlineYou can explore more about their services at Lead Career Assessment Test

Drug testing as a camp counselor?

It sounds as though you have to agree to adhere to their policy-- but what is that policy? Some employers only test you if there has been an incident that raises questions. Every company is different. My son drives a company vehicle, and his employer only screens if there is a moving violation or an accident.
I work for a substance abuse treatment center, and not only are we frequently, randomly tested, but if you do anything at any time that might raise an eyebrow, you are tested. Trip going down the stairs, set a little fire in your wastebasket, call your boss a cooze; you're going to be peeing in a cup.
So you might have to pass a drug screen prior to hire, you might never be tested, or you might be tested if you wear two different socks.
Do you know anyone that worked there previously? It would be helpful to ask them.

I'm in year 10 right now in Australia, VIC. Can I fail? Please help.?

It is not too late to make an effort now and improve your grades. I would suggest that you talk to the counsellor/year advisor at your school. They will be happy to see that you are wanting to improve your grades and are paid to help you in that. No worthwhile teacher would say that your won't be successful in life and you sound like an intelligent, articulate person.

Before you start reducing your options by looking at 'dropping out and going to Tafe' I would strongly recommend that you look at the Tafe choices available and make sure there is something there that you would love (and not just settle for). Year 10 won't equip you for many decent jobs and you would be wise to look at what the Tafe wants for entry to the courses you like, as some of the good ones are very popular and more difficult to gain entry to.

Don't rip yourself off and reduce your future choices by 'just passing' Year 10. Find a dream and work towards it.

Do I leave my good job to pursue a career in Australia?

Just a little background about me:-I am a student at University Of Sydney and have stayed here for a little over 2 years now. My future plans are to settle in Australia after I get a PR (permanent residency) in 2018.I am from computer engineering background.First of all you should ask these question to yourself:-Why do you want to choose Australia and not any other country? How good is your English? Giving IELTS or PTE is a good way to access the standard. Also, job prospects in Australia varies a lot with the type of Engineering you have done. In Australia there are compartively less Mechanical Engg jobs.Do a bit of research about the statistics of different engineering jobs required/exisitng in Aus.From my experience, people generally face difficulty in finding a full-time job as long as they are not permanent residence as no company wants to do paper work for their employee and hire a temporary person (you can be lucky though!)but yes, if you can get a direct PR before entering Australia your salary could quadruple easily and the lifestyle is also great.Otherwise, you can still move to Australia and do some part time jobs till you are eligible to get your PR but it could be a struggling time till then. Even the part time job people earn more than $20,000 easily on annual basis. The only pitfall could be you might not land up in an engineering job for the part time and might do some casual jobs in supermarkets, cafe.A sensible way to go about it would be:-Apply for PR.Apply for job. Then move to Australia.Happy salary = happy family. The end decision should be yours but coming to Australia can surely boost up your earnings.
