Counter Strike 1.6 White Screen Problem.?
When I Start Counter Strike 1.6 I See The 2 Guys One With A Pistol And The Other With A Shotgun. Then It Goes To A White Screen. I Can Still Here The Background Music And When I Move The Mouse I Can Here Noises. I Just Cant See Anything. I Have Windows Xp.
Counter Strike 1.6 Non-Steam Problem?
I have a friend who has a problem with his CS 1.6 Non-Steam. He was trying to change something in the settings but by accident he changed his Display Mode from Normal to Widescreen. Since then his resolution changed to the lowest possible (his monitor resolution is 1280x1024) but we fixed that. Every time he tries to launch CS in fullscreen he just has a blackscreen and if he tries to do it in windowed mode he just sees the two dudes in the background. No menu and when he clicks anywhere in the game it just stops responding. He tried redownloading the game COMPLETELY but that didn't work. Help please :(

you can't. CS is made by valve, who also created steam, so you need to create an account in order to play them. this shouldn't be a problem if you're planning on buying CS anyways since creating an account is free.

Hi, That sounds like your installation is corrupt; or some of the games textures did not finish downloading completely. In Steam; click LIBRARY at the top, and navigate to Counterstrike 1.6 Right click this game, and click Properties In this dialog box somewhere in one of the tabs, there will be an option to "Verify Intergrity of game cache". Click this, and this will check the files on your PC against the ones on the Steam server(s). If a file is found that's any different it'll delete it and re-download it automatically. Once it's done, try playing the game again.
