Counter-strike Source Is Copyrighted If Used For Youtube

How do I give credit to a video I found on YouTube so that I don’t get in trouble for copyright infringement?

You cannot use someone else's content without permission. Doing so is illegal copyright infringement. And every YouTube user is a Gmail address, really they are email addresses. In these modern days of the it has never been easier to ask permission. And when you ask permission, you can see if/how they want credit given. But just giving attribution does not overcome copyright protections.

Is it copyright infringement to have a music bar at the bottom of the Tumblr page?

Whether or not you have a player is not the infringement. It is the source of the music that might be infringing. If the music is just copied from CDs and stored as files on your website, then that is copyright infringement. Whether or not you play it through a music bar.But if the music is streamed by an organization that acquired the permissions to do so from the music publishers, then this is an instance where you a license through them, thus you have permission.

Does anyone got any copyright claim on Facebook for using copyrighted images?

I could not find any statistics to show how many copyright claims are made against Facebook each day, however, based on my experience, I am sure there are quite a few per day. I use to work at a major online company, and we received complaints over photos daily. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act in the US provides limited immunity against copyright claims by user generated content as long as the service provides a mechanism in which a copyright owner can submit a complaint and the online service acts promptly to take it down. Then the online service provider must notify the user of the takedown, and the user can then issue a “counter-notification” explaining that the use of the copyright item was fair use, or that the user owned the work or had a right to use it, etc.The person claiming a copyright violation must (a) assert under penalty of perjury that the person is the owner or has rights to bring a claim, (b) identify the location (that is, the URL) of the page that contains the infringing content, (c) provide a good faith explanation of why the content is infringing, etc. Facebook’s DMCA process is explained here. With over a billion users, I am pretty confident that Facebook receives a significant number of DMCA and probably has a team dedicated to address such complaints.

Is there any way you can watch blocked youtube videos?

Yes. In a video's URL, you'll see "/watch?v=" and a string of numbers. That's the video identifier. If you change it a bit by deleting watch and the question mark and adding forward slashes before and after the v and hit enter on your browser, you'll be able to watch blocked videos.becomes

Can it be fair use to post a copy of a malware code?

Yes, it could be. One consideration of fair use, even though it's not explicitly spelled out, is public interest. That's generally under "purpose and character of the use". That being said, whether it's fair use or not is ultimately decided in court, and that's an expensive undertaking regardless. In the case of publishing code for malware, it could well be argued that the purpose and character of the use isn't primarily to copy or make money from the code, but rather to warn the public about how malicious code works. Publication for critical or public interest purposes goes strongly toward a finding of fair use.The other factors are:The nature of the copyrighted work.Easy enough here, it's a computer program. Since that program has malicious intent, it could well be argued that public disclosure is in the public interest as well. The amount copied. In this case, they're copying the entire work. That would go against fair use, especially if just posting the "payload" code rather than the whole thing could accomplish their purpose. But even the use of an entire work can be fair use under the right circumstances.Effect on the work's commercial value.Note here that this means only the effect that the copying itself has on the work's value. Criticism or bad publicity might negatively affect a work's value, but that is not considered in a finding of fair use. And of course, the court will not consider "value" for illegal acts in that analysis.Generally speaking, courts have given pretty wide latitude toward the public disclosure of works when it's for the purpose of exposing illegal or questionable behavior. Wide doesn't mean unlimited, but there's a good chance that this would be found to be fair use.

How do I upload a video to Facebook without getting copyright warnings about the music?

Copyrighted material has like a fingerprint based on the audio and visual digital information that can be matched. If you adjust the tempo or pitch this can sometimes avoid detection because it alters the fingerprint.

Is it true that in Germany you can get fined for illegal downloading? How do they detect what you download? Is it only P2P and file sharing, or every kind of data?

Yes it is true. I and several of my non-German colleagues have been fined. Each movie downloaded through torrent costs them 813 EUR. I didn't pay. I hired a lawyer to troll the company who sent me the warning. First my lawyer asked if they could forgive me just this time. They said no. Then my lawyer asked can i pay less. They offered another, lesser, fine. My lawyer offered something else. They refused. My lawyer wrote a letter to plead. They offered something else, etc. Anyway I told my lawyer to never agree to anything and just keep the bargaining up. It's been 2 years now and he hasn't heard from them since the last letter. I guess they gave up. They basically need to prove that you downloaded the movie and not someone else who got your wifi's password, which is a tall order. They send these fines around and hope the people being fined would be scared and pay right away. One colleague of mine got the letter and ignored it and they haven't contacted him since. After we got the letter we all started using VPN though.
