Crack In Elbow/shoulder While Arm Wrestling

Crack in elbow/shoulder while arm wrestling?

Ok, so I had a bad shoulder/elbow/wrist from arm wrestling in the past. I am sure all three problems came from one injury, perhaps some sort of dislocation and all three parts are somehow connected to each other. I went with it for a year with just discomfort, crackling in all three of the listed parts. However, just now I tried arm wrestling my friend again. We did it a couple of times and I noticed more discomfort in my elbow and I sort of felt like I could not extend my arm fully. Well I could extend but towards the end my elbow would feel really tightened is the best way I could put it. After the 5th time I arm wrestled my buddy I heard a LOUD crack in my shoulder/elbow not sure which it was. There was no pain and no side effects that I could notice. My shoulder also stopped cracking which sounds like a good sign. Any idea what the hell happened? Please help or just post some ideas. I think I might be doing for an X-ray sometime soon about this.

Shoulder pain, can't raise arm laterally?

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone out there can give me an idea as to what kind of shoulder condition/injury I am suffering from. I felt like there was some stiffness in my left 'frontal' shoulder area, and then today it really started hurting. When I try to lift my left arm 'laterally,' like doing lateral shoulder raises, it feels like a sharp pain and I can't lift my arm. It also hurts badly when I try to an 'arm wrestling' move, with my left elbow at 90 degrees. The only way I can raise my left arm in order to remove my shirt is by lifting it straight up the front.

Can anyone tell me, based on these symptoms, what part of my shoulder is injured? The only thing I can think of doing a few weeks ago was a lot of pushups for exercise.

Thanks.

Can you still use your arm when you dislocate your shoulder??

You can move it - it's just very painful. Most people find the pain is too much and feel that they can't use it.

But the muscles and nerves often still work (unless something has been damaged in the dislocation).

Do I need to visite a doctor because I have cracking on my left elbow when I do pushups or I extend my arm?

Thanks you dear for your request. Yes I think you should go to doctor. But if you fell too pain then, take a hot towel and put it on your cracking elbow. Make sure the towel is not too hot. This may reduce you pain. But you must visit doctor. Doctor will suggest you a batter solution. I think doctor will suggest you forplaster your elbow so that you left hand get some relax and your cracking part fix quickly and may be doctor will suggest you for taking some calcium medicine., which also help to fix your cracking elbow. If I say anything wrong please forgive me.I will pray for you, so that you will get well soon.Thank you.

How do people sometimes get broken arms from arm wrestling?

There are several different arm fractures associated with arm wrestling, but the most common is a humeral fracture. What that means is that your upper arm (the bone between your elbow and your shoulder) breaks.Other times, it is the bone/bones in your forearm that break. Why do arm fractures happen so frequently when arm-wrestling, and why do they seem to occur most frequently around the elbow/upper arm region?Because the goal of arm-wrestling is to force your opponent’s hand down, and in order to do so you have to rotate your arm inwards.I’m assuming you like to win. As with most people who are trying to win at arm-wrestling, you plant your elbow into the table firmly, and flex your biceps and your shoulders to prevent them from moving.Since your shoulder is close to your body, it isn’t difficult for you to keep it from moving.Resulting in this:Which means that fractures occur most frequently around and at the high stress areas. Duh.But why do arm bones break?Your upper arm (humerus) and your forearm bones (radius and ulna) are long bones — they are long and skinny. Such bones are more resistant to compression forces (like when you do a handstand) than torque forces (like when you arm wrestle).Think about it: when you want to break a stick, you wouldn’t try to crush it like you would a can. You break it by bending it in the middle. That’s torque. And that’s what you’re doing to your arm when you arm-wrestle.Which is why we get a steady supply of YouTube videos of drunk people snapping their arms trying to arm-wrestle.
