You might also try looking up topics of interest to you, such as Anxiety, Schizophrenia, School Violence, Alzheimer's Disease... there are articles and research on sites such as WebMD (www.webmd.com), and the health sections of most major news organizations, such as the New York Times and MSNBC, although these are usually secondary sources.

What are most reliable websites for health and fitness?

Welcome to the world wide web. Google any word, and you will get a bewildering array of thousands of sites. As you have found, it can be mind boggling to say the least and difficult to trust. Whether for health or fitness, there is a myriad of information out there to sift thru to get to something you can actually trust and use.Now as to reliable, I would say there is NO most reliable. There are millions of opinions and some more educated sites that are sponsored by hospitals and universities. Keep notes in a journal if you are focusing on a specific issue or item. Human memory is often inaccurate and short lived. Repeat: KEEP A JOURNAL OF YOUR RESEARCH, ACTIONS AND CHANGES.Some sites, like PubMed are scientifically based search engines and are therefore research driven and more clinical in perspective. Any subject can be skewed in results based on research bias, so having a researched subject is no guarantee of reliability unless the research is un-biased (does not profit the researcher.) Take time to scroll down to the bottom of the information and look at the SOURCE of the information provided to see if it is true scientific research based. That is allowing for our system of WESTERN medicine. EASTERN medicine is often drastically different from western medicine in terms of diagnosis and remedies. For Americans, this often adds to the choices and confusion. If you are going to use web sites to make decisions as to your health, I suggest you take time to look at as many sides of the question as possible, time allowing. You will be your own guinea pig of course, and trial and error as well as cost may be your best bet to find something that works for you. Every individual is different and may have different responses and results to changes.“Above all, do no harm” is the motto of physicians. You are not as educated as they are on health systems and disease states, so I suggest you double check with a trusted physician if you can do so before beginning an exercise program or taking a supplement or making a significant change in your health practices.

What are the most reliable sources/websites for Indian healthcare data?

The Global Burden of Disease (GBD) website provides abundant information about several types of health data. For the reliability of GBD, and for more information about it, kindly see this article. The quickest way to get GBD info is to use their GBD Compare tool. If you set Location in the left pane there to India, a wealth of information opens up. You can see, for years from 1990 to 2015, causes of death, risk factors causing mortality and morbidity, as well as age- and sex-wise distributions. For example, below I reproduce a list of causes of death in Indian young females (ages 15–49) for 1990 and 2015.Here is the GBD country profile for India. Below is a screenshot from that. The GBD is a giant statistical and epidemiological exercise, and they utilize loads of data available from govt and other sources. Here you will see a list of the datasets they have used for India.Unfortunately the Indian government doesn’t make it easy for people to access all its health data at a single point/website. There are some websites that come to mind, as below. (You’ll find this academic article useful to find more sources.)The Census website; esp the stuff under ‘Vital Statistics’ on the left side.2. The National Health Profiles available on the website of the Central Bureau of Health Intelligence. (funny name)3. The National Family Health Survey data (NFHS)4. The District Level Household and Facility Survey data (DLS)

What are some examples of credible websites and non-credible websites?

Credible websites are the one that are updated regularly and do not have any false information. There are six ways you can tell if your website is credible.Author – Information on the internet with a listed author is one indication of a credible site. The fact that the author is willing to stand behind the information presented is a good indication that the information is reliable.Date – The date of any research information is important, including information found on the Internet. By including a date, the website allows readers to make decisions about whether that information is recent enough for their purposes.Sources – Credible websites, like books and scholarly articles, should cite the source of the information presented.Domain – Some domains such as .com, .org, and .net can be purchased and used by any individual. However, the domain .edu is reserved for colleges and universities, while .gov denotes a government website. These two are usually credible sources for information. Be careful with the domain .org, because .org is usually used by non-profit organizations which may have an agenda of persuasion rather than education.Site Design – This can be very subjective, but a well-designed site can be an indication of more reliable information. Good design helps make information more easily accessible.Writing Style – Poor spelling and grammar are an indication that the site may not be credible. In an effort to make the information presented easy to understand, credible sites watch writing style closely.Examples of some credible websites are :INFOhioLearning Management System | LMS | SchoologyQuizletExamples of some non-credible websites are:Wikipediasocial mediaworld's most boring website » world's most boring websiteVisit our website ANTS Digital
