Cutting What To Think Answer

I think my friend is cutting herself.?

Last Thursday, my friend and I noticed all kinda of scars on our other friend's wrists. We got a little worried, and asked her why they were there. At first, she said she was cutting herself. Later, she said that that was just a joke, and it was really her cat. Later the same night, she admitted again that it was actually her cutting herself, then changed her story again and claimed it was the cat. She went back and forth between the two all night. She finally swore on her crush's life that it was her cat.
So my friend and I come to school today, and notice that there are even WORSE marks on her wrists. They're not very deep, but they're very long cuts and the skin around them is really puffy. My friend and I freak out because these look like they COULD be claw marks, but they also look deliberate. Our friend refuses to tell us anything about them today.
And just now, I got an email from this girl saying she'd tell my friend how the marks got there, but not me. I took this as a joke because she knows I hate it when I'm the last to know something. So I emailed her back and said that if my friend wasn't upset when she found out about the marks, then that meant that i had nothing to be worried about, because it wasn't anything serious. I got an email back that said, "You should be worried.", then she signed out.

So, what do you guys think? Does it sound like she's actually cutting, or is she just going for attention? And what should I do if it's the former?

How much do you think the Chiefs cutting Kareem Hunt hurts their chances of winning the Super Bowl this year?

A little bit but not much. Losing Hunt hurts but Ware is a good replacement. Ultimately, their success this season falls on Mahomes and if their defense can step up.

Why do Republicans think tax cuts are the answer to everything?

Let us expand "Republicans" to include "conservatives". The cynical answer is that the biggest tax cut proposals from the right are for those in the top 10% or so of all earners. But that's not all of it. I think a bigger cause is that conservatives, by nature, often have a real but unstated belief in an ultimately just universe, and that governments simply mess up the smooth flow of events. It's reflected in the paucity of atheists among conservatives, because conservatives gravitate toward a belief in a spiritual authority that has built a just and proper world if only His people would just let it operate as it should. In effect, conservatives believe firmly in karma, although they would never use that term. They think of social and financial success as a reward for superior individuals. As Ronald Reagan came to believe, successful businessmen are not greedy rascals, but misunderstood heroes. Taxes, in that world view, are largely thievery. They like to quote Adam Smith's use of the term "invisible hand", because it encapsulates what they truly believe: there is a force in the universe that properly guides men's fates if only government would get out of the way. Believing this, it's natural to think in terms of tax cuts for every economic ill. Give all the money back to the people who earned it, and the God-given miracle of Markets will once again make us all whole. Give John Galt back his money, and he will shower the economy with more jobs. There's a reason why Ayn Rand has been enshrined alongside Ronald Reagan in the conservative pantheon.

Do you think cutting hair by yourself is hard?

Your haircut was so cool! But if you tried cutting your hair by yourself then it should be easy for you.

How would you answer a child's question to "why do people cut trees"?

People cut treesWhen they become too old or sick and may fall anyway. When the land is needed for agriculture or for buildingsWhen we need them for our furniture, as stilts, for our construction purposes, train sleeping planks, roofs cupboards, cabinets, fences, doors and windows. For making paperWhen we need broader roads for better and faster transport. For firewood in the kitchen, fireplace in rooms and for keeping people warm outside their houses like camps and bon fire .But we also plant many trees in exchange for every single tree that is cut.

I think my teacher saw my cuts? HELP?

So it happened on Friday I got in trouble about two weeks ago because I was being "disrespectful" or whatever so this teacher I hate sent me to another teacher on my team to talk to me about my behavior last class.I've only been in school for nearly a month so I don't know the teachers well she asked me why I was misbehaving and I said I wasn't and stuff but we had this talk about how I need to listen in class and behave to be successful because their job is to prepare me for high school next year I'm 13 in 8th grade so she said she will be checking up on me Well ever since that happened she's kind of my favorite teacher because she made me feel like someone cared.BUT NOW a few weeks later I got really made and cut myself so there is two big red scars across my wrist. When I was doing my work she came by to see if I needed help. I asked her about one of the questions.then I noticed I FORGOT I CUT MYSLEF LAST NIGHT AND I DONT HAVE ANYTHING OVER IT It's on my writing hand so I can't hide it then I saw her from the corner of my eye look down at my wrist and she was still explaining the work but I saw her starting to look very upset still looking at my wrist. After that she went to help other people but I could tell she noticed Near the end of class she was handing back papers. She handed me mine and when I went to grab it the cuts were exposed more than ever right in front of her face I saw her look at them. Do you think she cares? Will she say something about my cuts to me? HELP!!!

Why do you think cut off the hair of a samurai is such an insult?

Cutting the knot and growing the hair on the side of the head signified that the samurai had lost a battle.

If you are going to start cutting yourself, what do you need? And please don't try to talk me out of it.

Disclaimer: I don't think self-harm is a good idea and I'd advise you look for alternatives (Alternatives to Self Harm) but I'll answer the question. Before I answer I would like to address other people answering this question and strongly discourage you from leaving comments along the lines of “just don’t do it”. It’s like attempting to prevent teenagers from having sex with so-called “abstinence only education”. It doesn’t work and it’s usually counterproductive. If you won’t answer the question, don’t leave a comment. As I said in my other answer about this topic (Irene Grijalvo Tarrés's answer to How can I smartly cut myself?), if you’re going to cut yourself, do it safely. I address my thoughts about this in it, so I’ll just get to your question here.Do not, under any circumstances, use a knife. It’s the absolute worst tool for the job other than, I don’t know, a chainsaw. Common kitchen knives, unless they have been manually sharpened, are really not that sharp. It will take a lot of strength to actually make a cut and it will be much deeper than is safe because you don’t have very much control over the cut. I can’t say this enough: stay out of the kitchen. The safest tool for cutting is a single edge razor blade. Something like this. The single edge part is important because it allows you to hold the blade from the top without the risk of cutting your fingers. You can use a double edged one too, but you have to hold it from the middle, which is a worse grip than the top. It has to be brand new, so that you don’t get an infection. You will also need a way to disinfect your skin before and after. You can use rubbing alcohol (not liquor) or peroxide on a cotton ball beforehand. Afterwards, it’s better to use something milder, like soap and water. Then apply a little antibiotic ointment and cover the cut with a band-aid or a gauze with some cloth tape.If you have any other questions, feel free to message me directly. Stay safe.

What do teachers think of students who cut class?

I don’t know, what do you want us to think? We’re not a hive mind. We don’t all collectively think the same. In my mind: They probably had something more important to them to do. Anything from work, to babysitting, to trying to manage a family on their own. There have been a variety of reasons why students miss class. Some kids you can look at them and SEE they are struggling and you chalk the absence up to that, maybe call home and check on them-Yanno. Other students will tell you outright they are struggling and their attendance is affected; one such student had been moved to a homeless shelter in the Bronx and our school was at the Southern most tip of Brooklyn. I feel for them. I can’t always PASS them, but they have my sympathy. So do the kids who miss class for the crappiest of reasons. In a hurry to catch an alphabet train or have one run on them-The STD express. Maybe they’re eager to be parents themselves, lots of babies made on cut days; should be calling them add days the way they have increased the population some years. Sometimes students cut for a silly reason- just wanna get high, sooooooooooo high. Chad, I will always remember Chad because his suede jacket held the scent of weed so well. If you could get a contact high from a jacket, we all had one 7th period when Chad arrived. The most common day to cut, for Seniors anyway, is the day of prom; typically none of them come to school and it’s just part of senior culture. They need the whole day to get ready, the transformations are typically STUNNING. Senior Classes have scheduled their cut days in nyc they are that organized. Senioritus is real.
