Cvs Thinks I Shoplifted

Shoplifting. at. CVS?!?

Me and my friend went to cvs and I stole a nail polish bottle they didn't catch me or anything but she paid for a magazine with her CVS card with her moms phone # on it. Do you think they cud call that # or do they even check security cameras? Ps I know that. Its wroing I won't do it again

Is cvs allowed to track down a shoplifter?

You are on camera! There are cameras everywhere so understand that. But, CVS has so much theft since they don't believe in help in their stores, that yes, you did get away with it. But think about it next time you feel the urge. Is it really worth ruining your entire future, never getting a job, or credit, or being able to buy a car or home unless you walk in with cash, all because you walked off with a few dollar item.

What is CVS Pharmacy policy on shoplifting?

Dont worry about it! She should have apologized to you!

Does CVS prosecute shoplifters?

I was just at a CVS and decided to steal $30 worth of cough medicine. One of them had a security tag which I didn't realize at the time, and after I paid for a soda (I absolutely stupidly used my CVS card when making the purchase) I set off the security alarm, but just kept walking to my car and got the heck out of there. What kind of repercussions might come my way? Will police show up at my door or something? Might I just be mailed a bill for damages? They have me on file so what might I expect to come? Simply telling me not to steal won't help this current situation. Thanks for any answers.

How do shoplifters get caught after the fact?

I was indicted 2 years after the fact in a theft from Wal-Mart. The actual theft was a success, however due to video cameras, social media, AND physical evidence they were able to pin the theft. This is my theory on how you can get charged after the fact. Say you're stealing something, and you get away with it, however you are on security footage, sure they can ID you by your image, but can they determine what you stole and how much it cost by video footage alone. Furthermore do they have any evidence that you did indeed steal the item. Let's face it, if you dont have the item currently, you can tell them you never did it, and it's your word vs. A video camera. It's not sufficient evidence to charge someone with theft. So now say you steal an item, but you take it out of the wrapper and you leave the wrapper behind, you get out of the store, BUT now you are on camera AND they have a physical representation of items stolen. This is enough to charge you with theft, the same can be said for those attempting to steal, who are stopped on the way out the door, if you run, you still can be charged with theft… if you leave evidence behind. And most loss prevention will not stop the pursuit until they have their merchandise..

I got caught shoplifting at CVS. Can they call the cops now that I left?

I was at CVS today and I made the dumb decision to try to steal a box of Coricidin Cold and Cough around $6 (I know stealing is very wrong and I usually don't try anything as stupid as this but I had no money). My friends told me that if I took enough in one dose that I'll feel pretty good. I wanted to try it, so I went to my local CVS and opened a box and stuck the pills in my pocket. Right after a guy that worked there asked if I was going to pay for that. He told me that he saw me open it and asked me to take it out of my pocket. At first I played dumb and said "What?" He told me that he can call the cops and get my licence plate number and that they will have it on tape in the asile I did it. I was scared so I did and gave it back to the man (I think he was some sort of manager). I was also planning on buying an Arizona Iced Tea. He told me to put that back and to leave, he said they don't want my business. I gave him the tea and left the store. So my question is, since he did not take down my information for a fine (I've read that thats what they do when they don't want to involve the police), can he call the cops and give them my licence plate number to come and arrest me, even though he said that if I did what he asked, he would not? I don't want this stupid mistake to go on my record seeing as I'm 19 and I am trying hard to get a job at the moment. Is there any possible chance that the guy was telling the truth and let me go?

I shoplifted and feel TERRIBLE. Help please!?

Today I drove to CVS and stole a... male... item...

It costed no more than 9 dollars, but I feel terrible!

I tried praying to god for forgiveness but I feel horrible

I am 17. Please don't simply say "Just return it"

I wasn't caught, but I left the empty box in the bathroom in the trashcan, and left. I'm worried they will find it, look over the tape, and catch me!

Now the questions:
Do you think I'll get caught?
How can I help myself to not feel guilty?
Is stealing from a store once common for my age?

Thanks in advance!
