I paid $529 for a Huawei Matebook D on sale, it has a Ryzen 5 2500U with an integrated Vega 8 GPU. It’s not top of the line, but it’s far better than anything else in this price range with its all aluminum body, 14 inch 1080p touch screen display, 8GB of soldered DDR4 RAM, and 256GB SSD. The touch pad and keyboard are also excellent, and it charges via USB-C. It basically looks like a Macbook Pro knockoff running Windows.Bonus! Huawei doesn’t package their laptops with bloatware. I didn’t have to delete anything but the crap that came with Windows 10.

You can get all the terminal based benefits of Linux and all designing based benefits of Windows. You can develop for iOS, Android, etc on you Mac OS X.Battery Life: If you are considering Macbook Pro for only programming related tasks. Then on a single charge, it will run almost 10 - 12 hours unless you are doing a very heavy task.Screen: If you are going for some sort of designing tasks, even using only HTML, CSS etc. Macbook’s Retina Display will make your experience much better.Build Quality: No Comments! Just go to a nearby Apple showroom and feel it with your hands.Security: You will never need any Antivirus Softwares. In this case, never means NEVER.There’s no denying fact that Macbook’s are expensive. But if you want to code and want to do it seriously without any interruptions like viruses, slow or hanging system while deploying code on the local server, opening 30 - 40 tabs in Google Chrome and doing countless things in parallel which you surely will. Chromebooks, especially the new Pixel are good for that, if you want a little more out of your product or dont solely use google services, then an ultrabook or convertible laptop like the Dell Inspiron 15 z or Lenovo YogaPad are lightweight and powerfull

You’re paying a premium for the nice form factor as well as the work it takes to get everything a computer needs into a nice little package.Anyways €500 is $531.23 USD for comparisons sake.A quick Google search for gaming laptops found the following:Dell Alienware 13 Gaming Laptop - $1199.99 USDRefurbished Razer Blade - $1699.99 USDThose were just two gaming laptops I looked up, and those were the cheapest configurations. If you want a new gaming laptop, you’re out of luck. I’d suggest checking out ebay for a used one if you’re dead set on a gaming laptop. A better solution would to be just to get a gaming desktop pc. You’ll be able to get something new and not break the bank as badly.I found these builds on pcpartpicker.com :Battlefield 1 Minimum Specs Build - $468.80Entry Level Gaming Build - $645.72These builds don’t include peripherals such as a mouse, key board, or monitor which will account for maybe an extra $200 to spend if you don’t already have those. But with a tiny budget of $531.23 USD, you’re going to have a hard time getting a pc build together with reasonable performance in mind.

Go for HP. Its really very good but kindly dont opt for dell or other laptops. I am fed up getting repaired my dell laptop again n again. I asked a laptop repair guy(authorised dell repair guy) what he said was this:" sir i shouldnt say this but still kindly dont opt for dell. It gets spoiled soon but the advanage is that it can be repaired easily whereas hp is a very good laptop it doesnt come for frequent repairs. " so do check out for good models online and even go visit a hp centre.

It’s been a long time since I was a student, so the requirements may have changed. I needed a computer at home to do Fortran programming back when I went to school. I don’t know what type of programming they are teaching today, but it is good to have a computer that can handle compiling programs, if that is even done anymore.Other than that, a basiclaptop with at least 1 Terabyte memory and 32 GB ram is all you need. It doesn’t have to be anything super special. If you have 3D programming, you will want at least a quadcore, and maybe a little more RAM.You will want to purchase the Student Version of MS Office to be able to do Excel spreadsheets and Word documents, along with Power Point.You can probably get your hands on a decent laptop on Craigslist for under $500, if you live in the US. There are all kinds of good brands out there like HP, Dell, Asus, etc.I wouldn’t worry too much about what you get.

Supposedly HP and Dell have the best reviews for the year 2015. Personally, I would recommend a ThinkPad or a Lenovo. ThinkPads are tanks and last forever, and Lenovos look great, perform well, and are always on sale. You can easily find either refurbished. If you are looking for a gaming laptop, you'll be spending at least $800 (if you find a good deal). Good luck! Also, "PC" means 'Personal Computer'.
