IPhone 4 won't let me delete apps?

So ok, after I updating my phone with the new iOS update thing , then I hold down on a app and it starts shaking the little x doesn't come up. And if I download a new app but want to delete it it still don't let me. However if I connect it to my laptop I can delete it from there. I then got the new update for the iPhone it still won't let me. I also have no iTunes app. Is there anyway to solve this

How can I free up space on an iPhone 4s besides deleting apps & downloaded media?

First you need to realize that on a 16GB phone, MBs are practically nothing. Assuming you are correct that you have not downloaded anything, several things could be changing your space:The cache on your browser. Check Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data. That will show you all the sites that have saved data. You can clear that from the Advanced menu if desired.App data. Many apps download information and cache it locally automatically. News, weather, games, and so on. There really isn't any standard way to clear that data other than to delete the app.But these are short term solutions. Ultimately, you should address the larger issue, which is that you probably have too much space taken up by media (video is the #1 space sucker usually), photos and apps following. Offload your videos to a desktop computer or a video hosting service. Then remove them from your phone. Do the same for photos. Both photos and videos can still be viewed from the phone if you use a hosting service so you won't lose the ability to show people -- except on an airplane when you're without a network. Big apps can be problematic too. Games are usually the culprit because they cache huge images, videos, and sound files. Consider losing some of your more media-rich games if the first suggestion doesn't work for you. And next time get a 32GB or 64GB model ;-)

Iphone randomly deleted apps?

Hmmm. two options.
One, go to settings, then "restrictions"....i forgot where exactly but its in settings somwhere. Maybe somehow the restrictions for those apps turned on.

Second (probably the best): Reboot you iPhone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10 seconds. Dont let them go until the apple logo comes up and you should have them back.
hope it helps!

What are good iPhone apps for sifting through your photos to delete unwanted ones?

Theres an app called Flic which helps quickly go through your iPhone photos. As the name implies, you just need to swipe on the photo, left to trash and right to keep. You can also swipe down to see the next photo in the stack so you could somehow compare which one you’d like to throw away. Not sure if it fits the bill but it may be worth a try.

How to COMPLETELY delete app from iPhone 5?

I've been trying to use apps like FeaturePoints and Instant Rewards (both great apps!) but the problem is that it seems if I get rewards for an offer on one app, I can't get rewards for the same offer on the other app because even though I deleted the app and redownloaded it, the fact that it stayed in my "Purchased" app list seems to keep it from registering as a new download. So, for instance, if I download the Expedia app through FeaturePoints and get rewards on that app and then delete Expedia, and then Instant Rewards has an offer for Expedia and I redownload it, I don't get credits on Instant Rewards. Is there any way to delete something from the Purchased tab so the download completely disappears? I tried hooking my phone up to iTunes on my computer because I saw some tips about deleting the apps from there, but the apps don't even show up in my iTunes - just the Purchased tab in the App Store. How do I get rid of deleted apps from this list so I can properly redeem offers?

I would really, really appreciate help with this!

Also if you're interested in FT or IR, you can use referral code YB5Q7D in FeaturePoints to start off with 50 points, or jyD8C2YhZY3rU as your Instant Rewards bonus code!

Can we permanently delete uninstalled apps in iPhone?

What Apple’s iPhone platform provides in ease of use, it takes away in control. As easy as it is to learn how to use an iPhone, it can be tricky to get it to behave exactly like you want it to — that’s why almost nobody was particularly thrilled when Apple decided to upload U2’s newest album onto iPhones across the world without asking first. One of the more difficult tasks for new iPhone owners is removing apps you’ve decided you no longer want. Here’s how to delete an iPhone app for good.First, the simple method is to tap and hold the offending app’s icon on your home screen until all your iPhone’s app icons begin to jiggle. Then, you can tap the small “x” on the upper corner of the app. You’ll then be prompted with an option to delete the app and its data. However, this doesn’t always rid your iPhone of the unwanted app for good. Sometimes you’ll find that upon connecting your iPhone to your computer to sync with iTunes, you’ll find the app has mysteriously reappeared on your iPhone. The solution for this is to go into iTunes on your desktop or laptop, select “Apps,” find the app you want to delete and click the small “x” on the app icon. That will ensure the app doesn’t find its way back to your iPhone through a sync again. If you are looking for Iphone App Development please drop a mail info@letsnurture.com
