What can "Departed FedEx Location" mean?
The status will change at the next stop. The destination sort facility is not its final stop of the journey. When your package gets to the last stop before you, the status will say "arrive destination facility". When the delivery driver loads it onto the truck he'll scan it and the status will change to "on truck for delivery". The day the status changes to "on truck for delivery" you can leave a note on your day with your signature so the driver can deliver right away, unless the shipper asked for an "in person signature". In that case you'll need to sign the driver's computer.

You will have to leave the secure area of the airport to meet the delivery guy and you won't be allowed to bring the pizza back into the secure area. You'll have to find a different pizza place, too. Lou's doesn't deliver to 60638.

USPS ships every day of the week, even Sundays and holidays. Mail is always being moved from one point to another, somewhere, and that is what shipping is. For example, the term "PMX" refers to a p.m. exception, when a shipment is returned to a delivery station for the night because it was undeliverable during the courier's route. Such a delivery exception may occur because the package was incorrectly addressed, a recipient was unavailable, etc. In many cases, delivery is re-attempted the next day. Hope this helps.

That happened to me not too long ago. The people that you bought the item from will contact usps and if they cant find it they should send you out another package. They even put 1-3 day delivery on it. And it only took like a week for me to get my package so dont worry too much.

Actually... no. Fedex does not normally make deliveries to competitor locations (it also does not deliver to PO boxes.) (UPS does not normally deliver to Fedex or USPS, either...) USPS *does* deliver to Fedex and UPS - because USPS is a government entity - and the other two are private enterprises. Fedex and UPS do have cross-agreements for those (usually rare) occasions when people drop their packages off in the wrong drop-boxes or at the wrong store for pickup. The 'wrong-store' will call the competitor to let them know there is a package for pickup. Do *not* expect these pick-up calls to happen the same day as you dropped off the package - or in the very best case - expect the pickup call to happen just after closing hours of the 'right' courier - - so pickup doesn't happen till the next business day... or later) Contact your shipper - tell them what has happened - ask them to either (1) change the delivery address to another location (your mom's house, your business, your landlord, etc) or (2) cancel the shipment and re-ship by UPS.
