What does mean by delay delivery on customer request on Amazon?

The day, delivery guy is lazy, and does not feel like delivering the goods, they use this message. This is a very common practice performed by “Amazon Transportation Services” . They are not hesitant to mark it at all.I had the same problem on few of my deliveries, mainly over the weekends. After arguments with Amazon Customer Services, they offered me Rs 100 as credit, but did nothing so far to resolve the matter on serious notes. This demonstrates, the laziness of entire Amazon India.

How late does FedEx deliver?

We have an online business so I know this one. To residential addresses the delivery time can be as late as 7pm. To business addresses it is usually 3pm, but there may be some regional variations.

Here is the table with delivery times on their site - http://www.fedex.com/us/services/us/2day.html

If the pizza delivery guy comes late and I refuse to pay him the bill, will that money be deducted from the guy's salary or will it be a loss for the pizza shop?

First of all, gonna say the laws vary from state to state, so what I’m about to say may not be 100% correct everywhere. Most states, it is illegal to deduct anything from an employees wages if that deduction would put them to making less than minimum wage (tips over minimum wage cannot be claimed against this). In all states that have tip credit (meaning it is legal for an employer to take a credit against their wages for tips they receive, thereby reducing their paid wages to no lower than $2.13 per hour) delivery drivers will make about $4 per hour. So no, they cannot have money deducted from their paycheck for any money lost while on delivery…for ANY reason. They can certainly be fired, suspended, etc, but no outright deductions. With all of that being said, no delivery driver, unless they are new, will hand over the food first, unless MAYBE if it was paid already via credit card (as technically it is already paid for). If I took the delivery to you and you refused to pay, I would probably just say “Ok”, then turn around and go back to the store. You would not get your food, and the store would have something else to give to the homeless shelter (which my store does with all unclaimed food). Also, simply from my personal point of view, I would say don’t do this kind of thing. We really don’t make all that much money considering MOST places that can do tip credit are also WOEFULLY under reimbursing us for the use of our vehicles (my cost of operating my 2005 Camry is around 36 cents per mile, I am paid roughly 15 cents per mile for the business to use my personal vehicle…its BARELY enough to cover gas, let alone repairs and maintenance). Do a google search of the various class action lawsuits that have been filed in the last ten years or so.
