Why USA don't "export democracy" in Africa?
Democracy cannot be exported. Our attempts to set up Democracies in the middle east, or any where else is misguided and shortsighted. Democracy can only take root in a country with a strong, centralized government. A stable economy must be present. Security must be present. You cannot, I repeat, cannot, take a country like Iraq, or Darfur, or Somalia, and simply hold free elections and have a democracy!!! Can't happen!! What happens?? Chaos!! The Palestinians had free elections - Hamas (a terrorist group) won. Haiti had free democratic elections - look what happened. Somalia, Nigeria, Ethiopia. Look at the results. The U.S. repeatedly harangs Egypt about free elections. If that were to happen, the Jihadists and Muslim Brotherhood would win! Is that what we want?
