Okay so I live in California and I opened a checking and savings account in June with Chase and I was wondering if my mom could deposit money into either account. I'm going of to college and the accounts are under my name and my mom does not have a bank account. Is it possible for her to just walk in and say that she would like to deposit a certain amount of money to an account #? I don't much about banking, I was just wondering. If this is not possible do any of you guys know an alternative way to send money? Thanks
Can Stripe be used to deposit money into a user's bank account?
Stripe now does ACH transfers into third-party bank accounts, and they do it very well. I'm stealing this right from their site:"Normally, Stripe sends automatic transfers to your bank account on a seven-day rolling basis. Once you enable production transfers, though, you'll no longer receive automatic Stripe transfers. Payments you receive will instead accumulate in your Stripe balance. It's a pretty big feature rollout, they've been busy over there.

If you are having Basic Savings Bank Account, then limit is 40,000. It's not applies for other banking accounts.
Depositing money from Netspend's to a friend's bank account?
I was wanting to know how long will it take for my friend to send me money from my bank account using her Netspend card. She did this using my routing number and she did it electronic (ACH). This was 3 days ago 4-21-2011. She said that she sent it at 10:03 a.m. that day. I am not at all familiar with Netspend. Do they deposit things like this on a weekend and how long does it usually takes? My bank, is very good about depositing money that others have sent. How long should it take for me to get the funds? I thought it would be here by now....it must be on her end (Netspend). Is anyone familiar with Netspend? I would greatly appreciate any information given and 10 points to best answer. Thanks!
Someone deposited a lot of money in my bank account?
Ok so I go online and check today... I have Checking and Savings mind you. I noticed in my savings account, there was like over $3000 in there and I was WTF!!! I know its not the IRS depositing my returns because this deposit reads "CUSTOMER DEPOSIT"! Hmmm.... I'm really not sure what to do. If I call the bank and ask them, even if they dont know where it came from, will they let me keep it anyway or take it back regardless? Oh and I gave my account information to nobody. My guess is that maybe someone who banks at the same bank as me was probably a digit off when making a deposit and it went into my account. But that would make no sense because at my bank or most banks rather the teller asks you to swipe your card first in order to bring up your account on the computer before making the deposit right?

hi my son is leaving for college and there are no mb financial bank atm's in champaign, il. i didn't want to switch banks so i got him an account with chase since chase atm's are all over his campus. is there a way for my bank to automatically put money into his account every weekend without me having to stop by a chase bank to make a deposit. i want money to be taken out of my account and put into his. what can i do? i don't want him to use a debit card from mb in a chase atm because i don't want him losing any money either.

Other people are also able to transfer money into your account from their own bank accounts. Is there any way I can prevent a person from tranasferring money into my account?

If your friend is having NRE (NRI account is called as NRE A/c) then the bank will not allow anyone to deposit cash in it. If your friend is having NRO account or ordinary savings account, then you can deposit money in that account. First go to the bank and enquire which account is it.
