Describe The Green Belt Movement Its Beginnings Goals And Impacts.

What are some examples of Six Sigma Green Belt projects?

A Six Sigma Green Belt project is that which will help reduce variation or reduce defects in any repeatable and reliable process.Important point is that the process should be repeatable over time. Examples of projects could be.Manufacturing : Defect reduction during production of Helmets / Machines / tables etc....Services :  Reduce cycle time variation in processing of invoices in Account payable process, Increasing the loan book of a bank, improving customer satisfaction survey score of a restaurant etc etc etc ......GB projects follow DMAIC methodology which means D -DefineM-MeasureA- AnalyseI- ImproveC- ControlThe big difference in a Six sigma green belt and any other methodology project is that in GB project the analyse & control phase are strong and it provide GB methodology  edge over others. The approximate cost savings from a GB project should be approximately $ 50 K per annum per project. In a GB project project owner should be able to define the problem well and scope it appropriately. he or she should be able to identify a cross functional team which would be able to work with him on the project and generally these kind of projects must finish in 3~4 months. In GB projects sustained improvements are controlled and monitored for at least 3 months or till the time they become part of the process itself.Green belt projects can also be done with Lean methodology where Value Stream mapping  should be used as the major tool and some analysis like hypothesis testing , use of tools like Paretos , control charts and box plots should be there. There are endless things which can be spoken about GB project however I stop here and I feel that it helps. What were the goals of the Civil Rights Movement? How many of those goals were accomplished?

Contrary to the other responders - NONE.There was no “civil rights” movement in the southern united states. There was a FREEDOM Movement. Civil rights was a construct of liberal white people and newspaper editors to sell the idea of freedom without actually having to do so. It was a tactical compromise for the freedom fighters in order to accomplish some advantages. All with the belief that white folks have a conscience and strides toward true freedom would be forth coming.Civil rights are laws designed to attempt to balance the wrongs perpetrated by the political and monetary majority. They are only laws. A law can be rewritten or revoked at any time. The evisceration of the Voting Rights Act of 1964 is a contemporary example of that fact. Immediately laws were enacted restricting the ability of Blacks to vote. Thus beginning the republican’s campaign to eradicate “fraudulent” voting in their elections.A right that can be destroyed by the stroke of a pen is NOT freedom. What does “inalienable” mean?Keep in mind there are two amendments to the constitution that reference the freedoms of Black peoples in this country. Neither of them have been honored. Especially since slavery and jim crow espoused that the is no law or contract that need be honored with a Black. Ask the people of the First Nation if any of the treaties signed by representatives of the government over the last 250 years have ever been honored?I know this, like believing in the transition from civil rights to freedom, is probably futile considering the age of the question but I had to respond for my own sense of correct historical exposition.

What is the green zone in football? Is it different than the red zone?

The term “red zone” refers to the space between the opponent’s 20-yard line and the goal line. It’s been a common term in American Football for decades.Image courtesy of: The Moan ZoneIf you’re a fan of American Football (as I am), you’ll be obsessed with your team’s performance in the red zone, since, barring an offensive collapse or a turnover, any possession inside the red zone will result in points scored, either by advancing the football into the end zone (a touchdown) or by kicking the ball through the uprights (a field goal). A team that performs well in the red zone will tend to score a lot of points and will be more likely to win games. Conversely, a team that performs poorly in the red zone will be considered weak. They may be able to put together a good drive and advance the football, but they can’t score points. If you’re a fan of Association Football (soccer, for my fellow Yankees), think of the red zone as the penalty box. If your team is consistently moving the ball inside the opponent’s penalty box, that’s good, and it’s a sign of a good team, but it doesn’t translate to points unless they can get the job done and put the ball in the goal. The term “green zone”, on the other hand, is a neologism coined by NBC Sports beginning this year. The “green zone” is the area between the line of scrimmage and the first down line.Image courtesy of The Ringer - NBC’s "Green Zone" Is the Ultimate Conclusion of Graphics CreepIf your team fails to move the ball past the “green zone”, they fail to gain a first down, and will have to turn the ball over to the other team. More importantly, no American football fan actually uses the term “green zone”, and after over 20 years of watching American football I had to use Google to find out what the hell it means.
