I have shut down the computer with the HDMI plugged into the computer and TV and then restarted the computer and shut off the TV and it still wont work.I have shut it down over 3 times.

I am currently connected with the tv through my VGA port from the computer to the tv.

When I go to the display and check screen resolution this is what I see.

Orientation: Landscape Drop down menu.

I don't know what to do if I could get help with my HDMI and my pc it would be great.

Dell Studio One 1909 Specs 19" Desktop? Connect to TV?

Okay, so I have a Dell Studio One 1909 Specs 19" Desktop, I've noticed that this Laptop DOES NOT have a PC RGB? I don't know if I make sense much or if that is what it is called. Anyway, on previous computers, that is how I've connected the computer to the TV. Now, this Dell Studio One does not have that. What it does have, however, is a BUNCH of USB connections. I believe that the only way to connect them would be by finding an HDMI/USB adapter? I don't know if they exist or if I am making them up, anyway, I don't know how to go about it? Has anybody else had that problem?
Can anyone help me to make this DESKTOP play on my TV screen? Thank you so much for your time, if you need more information, I will respond either later tonight or tomorrow morning or tomorrow night.
Thank you so, so much for your time.

My Asus laptop doesn't connect to my Vizio tv via hdmi?

Hello, Most computers can connect to an external display for mirrored and extended desktops. While high-definition television sets cannot match the resolution that many dedicated computer monitors are capable of, an HDTV can be a convenient way to view movies and websites on a larger screen. HDTVs typically accept a variety of inputs, and once you've found the correct input to match your output capabilities, connecting the two is as easy as plugging the correct cable in.

Determine which video standard to use. VGA and HDMI are the two most common standards used to connect a computer and an HDTV, but not all computers support HDMI output, and some televisions will not accept VGA input at 1080p resolution. Check the technical specifications of your devices to make sure you're using the right cable.

Connect your video cable to the appropriate ports on your computer and HDTV.

Tune your HDTV to display either the VGA or HDMI input, depending on which standard you are using.

Change your display settings to match your desired setup. On a PC, you can accomplish this by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting "Properties." The right-most tab, "Settings," contains options for switching between the computer displays and, if your laptop's video card supports them, extended and mirrored desktop options...Hey, I enjoyed your question, I am a retired computer technician. I hope I have helped you...

I need help connecting my Laptpop to my HDTV using an HDMI cable. Can't view desktop correctly?

When your Laptop is connected to the TV and you see just the background image w/o icons and taskbar you are seeing an extended version of your desktop. Think of it as your desktop being really wide. You should be able to move your mouse cursor off one side (top, left, right, bottom) of your laptop monitor and see it on the TV. You could even try draggin a program in that direction.

If you just want to replicate on the TV what you see on the laptop screen you need to go into the Display settings and make some resolution changes. There is also a checkbox you should uncheck titled "Extend my desktop onto this monitor".

PC Won't Connect to TV via HDMI? (Works with VGA)?

Generally the problem is caused by one of a couple of things - the computer doesn't detect the display due to the TV not being set to the input and being detectable (ie no signal on the HDMI port when that input isn't selected), or the graphics card isn't putting out a signal so your TV doesn't know that the card is there.
In windows 7 you can sometimes force detection of the display to get it so that the graphics card by right clicking the desktop > screen resolution then select the port from display list and then under the multiple displays list select try to connect anyway. '

If this fails you may be able to get the TV to detect by switching the TV to the correct hdmi input then rebooting the PC. Although it's generally not an issue with windows 7 in the past i've found that windows often had trouble detecting displays that weren't connected on startup. Although in windows 7 i haven't had this issue - i often swap 2x dvi monitors and my hdtv betweeen 2 windows based pc's and the only one i sometimes have trouble with is the hdmi (which i fix with the force detect thing)

I also recall another setting that you can use to force detection which you may need to do before the first step - you pmay be able to select a display connected to the 4300 (from the screen resolution window) > click advanced settings > troubleshoot > change settings. From memory this window has an option to detect displays even when they're not detected which should add 1 greyed out monitor for every output your card has.

My guess would be considering it doesn't detect on both TV's the issue is that the graphics cards hdmi output is switched off so the tv's aren't picking up a signal and hence won't sync so i hope this helps :)

Can I connect TATA Sky+ HD with full HD LED monitor via HDMI port?

Absolutely yes! (I understand this answer is late, just wanted to keep the answer updated - as of Nov 2014).Let me share my experience, I had a logical notion that it should work. However, confusion started when I asked a TataSky Support Member the same question - the answer was "You need a TV Tuner". When TataSky installation guys came, they too answer - "You need a converter/TV Tuner". Both were all "incorrect" so far connecting your monitor having HDMI port with TataSky HD/TataSky+ HD STB through HDMI cable is concerned. So, after the installation guys are gone, I took my computer monitor and connected it to the TataSky HD STB through HDMI cable and it worked like a charm! Incidentally, my monitor also has in built speakers and these speakers were also working!

How can I connect my desktop LCD monitor to a DTH cable?

Check if your monitor supports HDMI with HDCP and if it does then buy an HD DTH set top box and plug it in, you will probably need some speakers because most monitors don't have speakers. If you don't have HDMI and only have VGA you can get an HDMI to VGA adapter but you need to check if it supports HDMI, or even a composite video to VGA adapter if you have an SD set top box.
