Without spoiling much, the Deus Ex story focuses on the idea of organizations ruling the world from the shadows and raises questions if who is really controlling you. The story of Human Revolution explores the rise of augmentations, and raises questions of freedom and ethics. Human Revolution is more realistic, since it takes place only a few years from now, where Deus Ex takes place in the 2050s, where everything looks futuristic and less grounded in reality Deus

★★★★You are a cop injured in battle, whose life is sustained by turning you into a cyborg. The story is in 2027 where the whole world is having debates about the possibilities of such implantation on humans.About the game,Pros: 1) The game is a combination of third person, first person and role-playing game-play. Normally in first-person, game switches to third person when you are moving or shooting from cover, and story leaves you with the decisions on what to say and do.The game also allows you to pull lethal or non-lethal combos on enemies when you are close enough which results in a short cut-scene like feature.You have to hack almost everything electronic, including enemy turrets, computers, doors etc using a unique mini game setup which you will familiarize as you progress.The role-playing element is the key feature of the game. The story bends according to how you respond to people during conversations. For example, with the right approach you need to negotiate a person from committing suicide or making drastic influence on the story.The boss battles are interesting and you can finish off the bosses in multiple ways. I always cheat by using stun guns in succession :P2) The camera angles and presentation of the story during cut-scenes is gripping and movie-like. You feel like you are in a matrix movie or something! ;)3) Graphics is really good and detailed.4) Excellent story with a strong message and sound effects.5) The game offers many new abilities like seeing through walls, super strength, hacking, enhanced stealth capabilities, etc upon gaining experience points.Cons:1) This is a Steam game. You need Online Steam Account. I've read some people who bought the retail disk and complained about Steam. Please don't end-up downloading the whole game from the internet. The whole game is available on the disk.2) Good internet connection IS A MUST.I myself ended up improperly restarting Steam because the "Preparing to install game" dial box was taking forever because of slow internet connection(which did not occur to me then :( ). This resulted in Steam not starting ever again because wcginfo file being damaged. I had to re-install steam and ended up losing all my other games from my computer.PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO INTERRUPT OR CLOSE STEAM ABRUPTLY. IT WILL NOT START AGAIN AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-INSTALL AGAIN.Overall:GREAT GAME!! PLEASE BUY!! JUST BE CAREFUL WITH STEAM!!Happy Gaming :)

How does the plot of "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" fit with the plots of the original "Deus Ex" and "Deus Ex: Invisible War"?

Both the Human Revolution & Mankind Divided are prequels to the original series.The first Deus Ex came out in 2000 followed by its sequel Invisible War in 2003.Chronologically,Deus Ex is set in the year 2052 & Invisible War in 2072 compared to Human Revolution (2027) & Mankind Divided (2029).The protagonist of the original game in JC Denton & of IW is Alex Denton (both speculated to be clones created from Adam Jensen's DNA)The main difference between the prequel & sequels are that the prequels show the beginning of augmentation (mechanical) whereas in the sequels its already widespread & new technologies are being developed (nanotechnology)The main plotline remains the same.....protagonist starting in an organisation & eventually fighting the Illuminati (in Deus Ex 1 its an offshoot of Illluminati named the Majestic 12 led by Bob Page)At least 4 characters featured in HR make a return & play significant role in the original game....Bob Page,Morgan Everett,Gary Savage,Tracer Tong...also the NSF is also featured in the original game.As with the other games in the series its a multichoice ARPG...so what happens in the end of IW is entirely dependant on the player (JCD merges with an AI to rule as a benvolent dictator....Knight Templars eradicate all augmented people...the Illuminati continue to manipulate the world.....the world population is turned into a man machine hybrid namely Omar)In order to truly learn what happened in 2052 & 2072 its better to play Deus Ex & Invisible War to build up your own world.....both the games are available on Steam at 319 INR each (approx 5 $)
