Did Black People Find Oj Innocent Just Because He Was Also Black

Are there any black people who think OJ Simpson did it?

Yes.Most African-Americans believe O.J. Simpson got away with murder. This isn't novel. The reason he got away with the murders was because the burden was on the Prosecution to PROVE that O.J. killed Ronald Goldman and Nicole Simpson beyond a reasonable doubt. The Prosecution bumbled this case. There were two reasons to doubt that O.J. killed those two particular people. One, Detective Mark Furhman (a retired racist L.A.P.D. detective) was suspected of planting evidence at the scene of the crime. And two, F. Lee Bailey and Johnny Cochran did a great job at using Furhman to bait the emotions of the mostly minority jurors.  The case turned into a circus, focusing more on race rather than on the facts of the case. So, yes. I believe most African-Americans do believe O.J. got away with murder. But many in the African-American community also felt it was pay back due to years of African-American males having their freedom and dignity taken away for no reason other than for the color of their skin. White America got a "taste" of what it was like to have the system not work for them.

Why are there still people who think OJ Simpson is innocent?

Some historian once said, truth crushed to the ground will rise again. When you’re innocent, the evidence keeps percolating up, no matter how many TV shows, journalists or others hide the truth. OJ’s feet were a full 12 inches long, without shoes or socks. The murderer’s shoe prints were less than 11 1/2 inches. Endless unidentified fingerprints at the crime scene. None were OJ’s. Nothing fit OJ, except the framed evidence racist Mark Fuhrman planted. Almost no one who thinks OJ was guilty ever mentions that LAPD Det. Mark Fuhrman took the 5th when asked if he framed OJ and planted gloves and blood, or that Fuhrman had applied for a mental disability retirement claiming he was homicidal and wanted all blacks dead. In the Ramparts Scandal, LAPD routinely framed minority suspects.

Do black people really believe OJ Simpson is innocent or do they just say that?

Original question; Do black people really believe OJ Simpson is innocent or do they just say that? There are still many who believe that OJ was targeted by a racist detective Mark Furman. This was part of the defense's strategy. The defense was never required to prove anything. They attacked everything and threw enough confusion into the works to get a not (proven) guilty verdict. They showed evidence that Mark Furman uttered the word forbidden to be uttered by whites while dictating a book project. From that they suggested that he, as the lead detective was racist. That was just one of many issues along with an host of errors made by the prosecution and loss of control by judge Ito that lead to the jury to find that the state failed to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt. Even though many of the jurors interviewed afterward stated that believed that OJ was indeed guilty but the rule of law required a not guilty finding. But it is enough that you will still find those who believe that OJ was set up by a white racist police department. Most rational people, including most black people, understand the reality.

Why do some people still believe OJ Simpson is innocent?

What does this have to do with higher education other than being posed in college? Shouldn't this be in the celebrity section or the law section? Just because you learned it in college doesn't mean it's *about* college.

As far as the innocence of OJ, he was proven not guilty in a criminal court of law - not found innocent. He was found guilty/liable in a civil court of law.

One of the problems with the case is that people either see it as a race issue (thank you Johnny Cochran), or are blinded by cop TV. If the suspect doesn't confess in the last 5 minutes of the show, or if there isn't a video tape of the actual crime taking place, they can't believe that he could have done it. And, some people are just plain stupid.

Why do black people defend any black person on trial?

Please don't have this removed, I have a point here. You defended OJ Simpson, Bill Cosby and Michael Jackson even though there was sufficient proof for all of the cases. Why is every black person innocent to you?

Oj simpson is innocent. so why are white people still mad?

Remember: A Man is "innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt." If said man is not found "guilty beyond a reasonable doubt" than simple logic 101 dictates that said man is innocent - not just "not guilty." Yes, The Juice was found to be innocent.

People are mad because the race card was played. White America has been playing the race card for over four hundred years in this country. And now they are upset. From day one, The "court of public opinion" convicted OJ long before the trail ever began... That is, the court of White public opinion. Black people just hoped that OJ would get a fair trail.

Marsha Clark and Chris Darden dealt the cards. The 'race card' was dealt to Brother Jonnie by the name of Mark "Mein Kampf" Fehrman. They (the defense and the prosecution) knew that evidence was planted. For the first time in LAPD history, blood was brought from the crime lab to the crime scene. the blood that OJ gave at the police station was brought to OJ's house and miraculously, some of the blood from the vile came up missing. Gee, I wonder what happened to the missing blood from the vile that was taken to the crime scene?? Gee, I wonder how the blood evidence found at OJ's house had EDTA in it??? We (in the black community) know that the police plant evidence. The rest of the world didn't find out until the "Rampart Scandal." Over 800 cases overturned due to police planting evidence and lying on reports; planting guns and drugs. We cannot deny this. Being a cop doesn't make you holy. Mark "Mein Kampf" Fehrman is a Racist and a lier and his testimony was discredited because he lied on the stand. The fact that Fehrman is a racist was used as a motive for his planting of the evidence. The defense had every right to play the "race card," in fact, they would have been irresponsible if they didn't. OJ was found innocent and You racists out there need to just get over it.

Black People, are you embarrassed about the celebrations blacks had after OJ's acquittal?

Summer school is out everyone and they haven't learned a thing. <:+(

How do you feel about the quote “I'm not black, I'm OJ”? Do you think OJ genuinely hated being black? Why?

I really don’t feel anything about the quote. But I will explain what i think that quote means to me. Saying “I’m not black, I’m O.J.” , means just that. When OJ was in his prime he was loved and accepted by both the black community and the white community. There where plenty of things he did and places he went that the average black man at that time could not. So to say “I”m not black , I’m OJ, means that you have crossed the color lines. White people love you for whatever reason and black people love you for whatever reason. You don’t have the same issues as the average black man and white people accept you as one of their own. You can speed on the highway in the middle of the night and when you get pulled over the cop recognizes you, NO ticket or police brutality for OJ. You can wander the streets of Beverly Hills neighborhoods, no need to call police, it’s OJ. You can kill your ex wife and her boyfriend and get away with it, definitely not because your black, but because your OJ.
