Did I Better My Chances Of Getting Employment At Target Im 17 By The Way

What are some useful tips for someone who is starting work at Target?

From day one, don’t mess up on anything, especially safety issues with driving equipment. You are expected to not make many mistakes even at the get go. There rules can be unnecessarily strict. If you violate one, usually unintentionally, you will be on their shit list for at least 6 months. Good news is, you get two strikes and the third time you are out, dismissed, fired! Don’t even try to argue or reason with them. It will be always your fault even if you think others or the company is at fault as well.Try to get on the Weekends Shift eventually, from 6 AM to 6 PM Fri, Sat, and Sun, and run a side business on the side or get a second job on the side that don’t compete with Target on other four days. You will never know when you need that extra cash if things were to go south.Try working on the ART machine as a team after 6 months. Time seems to fly by quicker with a three-man team rotating responsibilities throwing and receiving. Try not to get in conflicts with others. If you do, again, it is your fault too even if you are not the instigator or the problem. The Inbound and Warehouse Departments are doable…meaning you can make your numbers. However, the Outbound Department, I heard, just sucks! It hard for some people to meet their numbers. Also, try to volunteer to pick up trash and recyclable plastic for the Fac Ops Department…easiest job and time will fly by so fast.If you are starting at any of the Warehouse Associate positions, don’t expect to move up to the TL, GL, SGL, or GM positions. Trust me! Forget it! It is an unwritten policy…they don’t promote from the bottom. My suggestion, if you want to move up, after you get $17 or $20 per hour for being there several years, try to get a job at Walmart Distribution Center instead. Because there, they are open to promoting you…if, that is, what you want to move to management.Overall, Target pays well even at the beginning wage, but, you work hard if you want to make your numbers. You are usually exhausted by the end of each work week. Try to think of this job as a form of exercise…it keeps you in good cardio shape…it will make the work days more bearable. They try to stick to providing the “fast, fun, and friendly” work environment. Hence, I close with this…try not to screw up…even if it is unintentional…even if you are a beginner!

How can a teenager with no work experience get a job?

It's an obvious question I know, but I'm finding it rather difficult to acquire employment. I'm 17 years old, NO WORK EXPERIENCE (I know that's 99% of the reason), in college, and still living with my parents. I need to find a source of income. Having to depend on my Mom and Dad to buy me things is getting old. I've been applying everywhere that seems appealing for teenage jobs (grocery stores, fast food restaurants, gas stations, game stores, etc) for the last year and have not gotten one call for an interview. What am I doing wrong? I have no piercings, no tattoos. It's like a catch-22, you need work experience to get work experience. I've applied at most of these places several times (filled out 5+ applications)... What else can I do?!?!

How can I improve my shooting skill with the glock 17?

To add on to Mr. Fogh's suggestion of dry-fire practice, I'd suggest buying a package of "snap caps," to reduce wear on your firearm.  Practice your draw and target acquisition, then your trigger pull.  Align your sights on a particular target, and work on a single-motion trigger pull that does not cause your firearm to move at all.Consistently go to the range with someone who knows what they're doing, and can give you tips along the way.  Don't just throw a lot of lead downrange, because you'll develop bad habits that are hard to overcome, down the road.  Have your friend load your mags for you, and ask him to add the snap caps at random intervals. This serves two purposes:1)  It will show whether or not you're anticipating the recoil, flinching before or after a trigger pull, and 2)  You'll have a chance to practice the tap-and-rack malfunction clearing drill (because it's unlikely that you'll get many real chances to do that at the range if you're shooting a Glock and cleaning it every time).

17, no previous work experience, no one is hiring me?

Okay, so I'm seventeen years old, and I've never had at job. I have been trying to get one for two years now. I've went out a lot and applied, and I've applied at a lot of places online. Here is a list of all the places I have applied:

Forever 21
Buckle
Wildflower Bread Co.
In N Out
Target
Wallmart
Whole Foods
Fry's
Boston Market
Toys AND Babies R US
Tj Max
Ross
Marshalls

Okay, so those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Im positive there's more. And I have never gotten one phone call for an interview. These places say they hire at 16+. I need experience. Even In N Out, a FAST FOOD place, didn't hire me. And that was just a desperate move, I will not work with fast food.
Are there any places Im missing? A lot of places say they want you to have experience, but how am I supposed to get experience if NO ONE will hire me? And Im going to college next year, so I really need a job. Im tired of mooching from my parents, lol.

p.s
I have already looked on ever single employment website imaginable.
even craigslist. Im getting desperate, and I really don't know what to do anymore

How do I pass job assessment tests?

I am 17 years old and have been trying for a few weeks to get a job. I have my first interview tomorrow (thankfully), but in case that doesn't work, I need a back up plan. I've applied to almost ten stores, and the only store to actually give me an interview was Target, where I filled out the application in the store. I was told that I failed the assessment tests at both Sears and Best Buy, and there's a good chance I failed at all of the stores that I couldn't get in touch with too. I am a straight A student in Honors and College-Level courses, and I really don't see why I can't get a job! Sadly, there is no place to put my GPA on applications.
What can I do to pass these tests? They are the personality tests that you take while filling out the application.
