the most important thing is first decide your aim where you want to go. you will not get a job by luck. so know about yourself why you are not getting job. where you are lacking? where you need to improve yourself ? try to improve those fields where you are weak. Don’t go blindly for a job . you should have to capable for that job also not only eligible. Don’t wait for a miracle.I experienced all those things that’s why I’m am telling you.

SUBWAY...Did I get the job or not?

Ok, I had an interview with a hiring manager at SUBWAY yesterday. The interview itself was very causal and comforting; it was almost like a get-to-know you session rather than the typical 'drilling of questions' interview. Overall, i think i did well; i answered all the questions to the best of my ability and pretty much laid out my whole life story.I also even asked questions at the end of the interview to show her I'm interested in working for SUBWAY. As a result, the interview lasted about 45 minutes. She wrote down key facts about what days i could work and the days that i am unavailable to work because of school or other conflicts, personality aspects and my interests. She also told me to fill out a background check and email her 3 to 4 more references by the next day. Nevertheless, I did as i was told. She definitely showed interest in me i could tell but she didn't hire me on the spot because she said she had other applicants to look at and interview. At the end of the interview she said she would contact me early next week but she didn't give me a date...I just want to know yall's opinions if you think i got the job or not. Be honest; anything helps :)

Did I get the job at Geico or not?

I'd wait to see if they call you by the end of the week to schedule the face-to-face with the manager. I think what's to happen is the hiring manager will look over your questions/results and determine if you're a good fit for the job in his/her opinion.

If they don't call you by the end of the week, follow up with a call to ask about the progress of your application and see what they say. If they say that they haven't gotten to it yet, take it as a "maybe", but if they say that they've given the position to someone else, then that's a "no", but I'd ask them if they know of any other Geico office that is hiring. Be persistent.

Either way, continue looking for a job - don't put all of your eggs in this one basket.

How do you know if you got a job?

A second interview means you made the short list. It depends on the company, but some interview the top contender a second time, and if it goes well, offer the job.

Some companies interview the top 2 candidates the second time. I would guess that few companies interview more than the top 2 for a second time. It costs too much.

Wait and see. If you don't hear within a week, don't get discouraged. Sometimes the week is an optimistic goal and it can take 2 weeks or more.

But you did great to get the second interview. Even if this company doesn't hire you, you are doing something right to get this attention and the next company probably will.

Good luck.

DId i get the job at target?!?!?

I wouldn't worry much about it. Retail grinds through a lot of people so they need to keep hiring. You made it to the second round-trust me not many do and second interviews, especially for an hourly retail position are more of a formality than anything. True, they could still nix you at this point but over one question that you already know was about something out of your control. The lady would have to be pretty low if that was her only reason to hold you from getting hired. Let's say she did-it's not the end of the world. There are TONS of retailers and they always need someone good like yourself. Trust me-when you're an adult the same thing will happen to you finding jobs later. That's the reality of the job world so don't think this is specifically your problem. Since you sound like you've been applying at large chains I think I should give you a few tips for the application. First, if there are questions about your opinions and you have to answer by choosing a number between 1-10 (or whatever), ONLY choose the numbers on the ends as it shows you are a person with opinions and will be a person of action. Second, answer questions during your interview thinking the way a boss would want them to hear---usually putting the customer first while keeping busy and trying hard to finish any projects you are assigned. Third, have a good explanation for any gaps in your employment history-I'd assume school for you. Last, keep things positive during all parts of the hiring process-if you have anything negative try to put a positive spin on it or at least be truthful but sound resilient and positive about it's outcome. Part time retail jobs come and go so don't think this is the end of the world. You sound like a good kid that would be a great employee.

What age did you get your first job?

Age 12, in rural Idaho ... my cousin and I got jobs "rogueing wheat" (where a crew of 8 or 9 people spread out and walk through fields of wheat, pulling out "rogue" weeds) ... working 40 hours a week, over the course of seven weeks or so, I made around $285 dollars (it was 1984).

My parents encouraged me to save my money instead of spend it ... so I did ... and then they surprised me by telling me that I would be buying my school clothes that year ... yay ... I guess. It did teach me a lesson, though, that money doesn't just grow on trees.

Did I get the job at Nordstrom?

I applied on Nordstrom Rack while I was living in Arlington and I didn't even get past the phone interview. I worked at Banana Republic for several months and then proceed to try again with Nordstrom but this time with the actual Nordstrom store at the Dallas Galleria. I had the phone interview and was asked to do an in-person interview with HR. After that, I was scheduled for a second interview with the department manager, the department was "the rail", and this second interview went well, After asking similar questions from the interview with the HR department he proceeded to take me into the store and show me the different departments before ending in the rail department where he asked me to pick out some outfits and explain why I selected these items and how I would sell them.

Well, he said he would call me a week later with an offer or to tell me I wasn't what they were looking for. Usually if you aren't hired on the spot you don't get the job but after reviewing other interviews online they normally do wait a week, I suppose it's to check reference or decide between other candidates.

It's been a week exactly since last Saturday and no phone call, does this mean I didn't get the job? He mentioned he would call me either way if I was hired or to let me know I wasn't. Should I still be expecting call or will they not bother if I wasn't hired?

Thanks in advance.

Did I get the job at SeaWorld?

I just went for a job interview there. I arrived early and I was well dressed. I made sure to dress in a suit along with a tie and some slacks/dress shoes. My hair was clean cut and I had no facial hair either. After I got there, I walked in and filled some paper work in a waiting lobby area. I then sat and waited for my interview. Eventually, when it was time I was called. I greeted my interviewer and they lead me to a area where I sat down. They began by thanking me for being there early and shortly after began to tell me that the position I originally applied for no longer had any openings. She told me that I could work in a few different other areas. I chose one of them and then the interview continued. There I was asked a series of questions. I responded to each of them and did my best to give a real life example that related to the question. I agreed to take a drug test and a background check if they wanted. About five questions later I was told that the interview was completed. I was asked if I had any additional questions and the woman told me that I would find out if I was hired in the mail or by phone in 3-5 to business days.

Overall, I felt I did good on the interview. I did not feel I did absolutely amazing or blew it out of the water, but I also did not feel like I made any worrisome mistakes either. Throughout the whole interview I sat up straight and was polite. After the interview I asked a few other people about their interviews and one other person said they had the same thing happen to him. Meanwhile though, he said his friend immediately got the job on the spot. Needless to say, I am confused and worried as to whether or not I got the job. I feel I have a pretty good chance, but I am still worried to death regardless. Does anyone with experience at SeaWorld San Diego know about the process? Is it likely I got the job or no? Thank you very much to anyone who helps out.
