Did I make the wrong choice?
I'm getting married soon and my partner and I do not want children at our wedding. My sister has been arguing back and forth about allowing her children to attend. My partner and I compromised and decided to allow kids at the reception but she was still throwing its about how unfair it is. I flat out told her that if she can't respect my wishes than she doesn't have to go at all. I have received nonstop backlash from the rest of my family. I understand that I was harsh, but I tried to compromise with her. It's been a little over a month now and I'm starting to wonder if I could have done something different to keep the peace between us.

There's this girl that I like. I asked her out, and she said that she really wasn't ready for a relationship at the time. Then she added that I definitely have a good chance in the future. Here's the thing: I found out that she said that because she really liked my friend. And he liked her. All I want is for her to be happy. So, I set them up. Now, they're dating. She went to the Prom with him, and I didn't go due to having no date :( They seem happy together. But there's not a day that goes by that I don't wonder if I made the right choice in helping them. I really love her. I've known her for 5 years. Please, help me reach a decision in this matter. Did I screw up, or did I do the right thing?

Like one could see the flowers, the pollinating grains, the pods and the shape of the pods clearly. All these values can be read from the plant without plucking the pods. Immediate gratification is all we seek.Humans have unraveled the most complex mysteries of Science and Universe. They have evolved from primitive creatures to advanced beings. But despite all this development they have hardly been able to disinter their own mysteries and vices.Life is all about choices and at every moment we have to make a choice. Most of us even know what is good for us and which choices can affect us in what ways but still we often fool ourselves by making choices that we feel were wrong only at hindsight.The reason is that humans are wired in a way that they want to have an immediate gratification of a pleasant experience even if it is harmful in the long run.And in this way these intelligent creatures make poor decisions just to feel good at that instant. Our wrong choices are often motivated by one of the following factors.1. Fear2. Fun / Pleasure3. Laziness4. Anger5. Guilt6. DepressionIn most of the individuals one of these factors are making the decision. In the case of the boy above it is his lazy and fun seeking behavior. Batman was so impressed by him that he thought that Gotham will no longer need him. But what happens when his girlfriend is killed ? His anger consumes him and turns him into Two Face.Why did he took such a decision ? Why did he make this choice ?Because all he remembered was the death of his beloved and revenge was all he sought. He was so desperate to take revenge that he forgot that what he once was. Anger made him take such a choice.Let us take another example. Each year thousands of people die due to smoking and drugs. Do these people don't know that the choice is wrong. Aren't they aware that smoking kills. But still they continue. Why?Maybe because pleasure and satisfaction now is more important than their health tomorrow. Some people also smoke and drink because of guilt or depression.There are many people who are not aware of the right choice . But there are even more who have the knowledge of the right choices but are blinded by one or the other of their inner vices. Life is all about choices and in order to choose properly one needs to overcome his vices.

Did I make the wrong choice? I feel dumb.?
Was I wrong for reporting her? I noticed that a teacher (who is a special needs teacher/helper) did not seem to do her job. I witnessed 2 kids bullying a special needs kid under her “watch” he was asking for help and she sat there on her phone on Facebook, she did not seem to care at all. I had to go in and help them. I saw her do the same thing with a kid pushing another kid with his head nearly hitting the bleacher in the gym. She was on her phone that day as well. That day, I decided to write a letter to the principal about what’s been going on. A few days past and I was walking in the hall way and I heard her yelling about another student to a teacher and even made fun of the way someone walked. I had enough of it so I went back and told my teacher what just happened and she asked if I wanted to talk to the principal and I said yes. I spoke to him about it and he seemed to actually care. I felt heard, and my heart felt a little less weighed down. I spoke to my father about it once I got home and he just screamed and cursed at me. Saying “why would you give them your name, why would you talk to him, why didn’t you just keep it anonymous, something can happen to you” he was telling me to stfu when I tried to speak, etc. i know I’m not a super hero, I’m not a saint but when something is in my heart why would I not help? I feel stupid.
How do I know if I have made the right choice?
This is the problem faced by many of us. But some of us hesitate in expressing, What I think is there are two kinds of persons in this gigantic world- Optimistic and Pessimistic. Optimistic ones are those who are very hopeful and confident about the future, on the other hand Pessimistic ones are those who see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen. It is upon you to be very frank in which category you want to fall. The day you decide this there wont be any confusion, just listen to you inner voice which is present beneath you, but due to various confusion it is hidden.......:) It is well written in Indian Mythology-"Geeta"--"TU BAS KARM KAR FAL KI PRAPTI KI ICHA MAT RAK"(Perform your task and dont worry about results) I agree whenever you will make some big decision you will definitely face problems but trust me my friend these tough times actually test you and your patience. There will be times when all this sounds to be very unreal or bookish..But it is upon you how you perceive your situation. All I can say that Never say NO just give your dreams a chance so that in future you wont regret saying that If I would have done. In life if you want to reach to pinnacle If's But's Would's and Could's must be eliminated.Whenever you are low think of the tough times that you have crossed. Be proud and think If I can do that task haste haste toh ye bhi ho hi jaega.....:)Emotions are part and parcel of every individual life you just cant stop them but you can use them as your strength instead of making them weakness.Everything happens if you are determined, if you are inclined towards your goal then do not think at all just go for it, & dont think about what will others think - If you will succeed these many people will respect you. Think in a way that its fine if I wont succeed I will come up with more strategies... but this can only be possible if you have confidence in you and you are positive. So stay happy........:) and go for it...........:)
