Did The Americans Learn Anything More About Russia Because Of Olympic Games

Do the Russians dope in every Olympics like we are led to believe?

Yes, without a doubt. (But, their athletes are by no means the only athletes who were guilty — and that will certainly continue). What is different about this upcoming “ban” is that the Olympic Committee was given definitive evidence that the Russian Government had a government sponsored program — a very large program — to help their athletes with doping, and to try to do it in such a way that they could “beat the latest drug tests.” It was not just this athlete, or that athlete — and it was not only “this sport” or “that sport” — it was a very large program, and it was Putin’s own government program, supplying the athletes with the latest drugs and chemicals, and teaching them the “tricks of the trade.”The evidence was so overwhelming, that the Olympic Committee had no choice but to “ban the nation’s athletes.” But then, of course, the Committee kind of “took pity” and they are allowing many of the Russian individual athletes to come and compete, but it will not be under the Russian flag, and they will are not officially considered “Russian athletes.”But, of course, they will be there, and we will all be very aware which ones they are…

What does banning Russia mean for the country and for the 2018 Winter Olympics?

For the country, meaning the people of Russia, it is rather paradoxically a good thing. Corruption is suffocating the country and nothing can be done about it from within because the major Russian political institutions are not just corrupt, the are corruption. The doping scheme was allegedly sponsored by the highest ranked state officials, so you get the idea: how would you possibly fight corruption if the institutions which are supposed to fight it are corrupt? Who will watch the watchers? That makes the international institutions the last hope for shedding of at least a tiny ray of light of justice upon Russia for the ordinary people to see that justice indeed exists. It is very important for those in Russia who may have already lost hope. For the Olympics 2018 it also a good thing, because the status, significance and integrity of the most prestigious competition in the world has been confirmed and reassured. For the athletes, Russian and non-Russian alike, it's a good thing, because a message has been spread that engaging in a doping scheme even if it happens to be state-sponsored will be detrimental for their sports career.

Is the United States behind Russia in any categories?

The US is behind Russia - and most of the world, actually - in many categories:1. HEALTH CARE EFFCIENCY Both countries are really bad in this regard, but it’s hard to have a worse health care system then the US. Only Bulgaria achieves that.2. GLOBAL APPROVAL OF STATE LEADERS[1]The question asked by Gallup - one of the world’s leading market research companies - was: “Do you approve or disapprove of the job performance of the leadership of the United States|Russia|Germany|China?”Sorry Donald Trump, but the world thinks you’re doing an awful job.3. PREVALENCE OF OPIATE USERS[2] Both countries have serious drug problem, but the US is worse:4. INCARCERATION RATE PER 100,000 RESIDENTS[3]This really stands out. Wtf?!?5. NUMBER OF GUNS PER 100 PEOPLETechnically, the the US is “leading” Russia in this list, but I’d argue that less guns are “better”. See the next stats why…6. NUMBER OF SCHOOL SHOOTINGSWtf, USA?7. CHILD VACCINATION RATES[4]8. PAID MATERNAL LEAVE9. KG OF WASTE PER CAPITA[5]…and most importantly:10. OLYMPIC HOCKEY MEDALS[6]Russia: 9x Gold, 2x Silver, 2x BronzeUnited States: 4x Gold (2x men, 2x women), 11x Silver, 2x BronzeAdditional remarks: 6 of the US medals were from the time between 1920 and 1952 when Russia didn’t compete. If you only look at men’s hockey (which arguably gets most of the attention, sorry ladies), and only at the time since 1956 Russia is crushing the USA:Russia / USSR / “United Team” (1992) / “Olympic Athletes from Russia” (2018) competed in 17 Olympic Games since 1956, won 9 of them, finished 2nd twice and 3rd twice. In the same time frame, the US team won just twice and came second 4 times.Footnotes[1] https://www.politico.com/f/?id=0...[2] List of countries by prevalence of opiates use - Wikipedia[3] Incarceration Rates in OECD Countries[4] Health care use - Child vaccination rates - OECD Data[5] A rubbish map[6] Ice hockey at the Olympic Games - Wikipedia

Is Russia truly unconquerable?

What Helped the allied forces to conquer Germany was that it was small enough to be completely surrounded, and it ran out of fuel. The allies were able to cut Sweden and Norway which is how Germany was getting fuel supplies.
Russia would be hard to invade because it is so large and like America owns vast amounts of coastal waters and a very large and capable submarine fleet. It has the same sophistication levels of air surveillance and protection as any of the Allied powers. So it would be a draw.in that area
Then there is the willingness of the Russian government to cheat and lie. They wouldn't be obeying any Geneva convention rules, and would have no compunction about using poisonous gas. And their oil reserves are as large or larger than anything the Allied defenses would have--they wouldn't run out of oil.
The cold would not be a factor pro or con for either side.
It would be a fight to the death should there ever be a military engagement with such a powerful enemy. Putin knows that and he may start walking his troops into any old country he wants. .

Why don't Australia, Europe, Canada and America together ban Yuri On Ice to encounter Russian expansion?

Yuri on Ice has 2 lead Russian characters. They are depicted as normal people, and never once make any kind of political statement. Why should the show be banned? I understand that Russia as a country has done many bad things in the past and continues to do so, but remember, a country’s government doesn’t represent what everyone on the country thinks.Russia is a country of 144,554,993 million people. Surely you can’t believe they are all bad? I fail to see why depicting a Russian athlete, in an anime about a sport that has a big Russian presence should be worthy of a ban,Making a show about figure skating without including Russians would have been highly unrealistic. This is Evgenia Medvedeva, one of the best female figure skaters in the world right now.Yulia Lipnitskaya, who was the inspiration for the character of Yuri PlisetskyEvgeni Plushenko, one of the greatest figure skaters of all time.TLDR: Generalizing the entire population is wrong, no matter how you look at it. Yuri on ice has never been political, and the reason there are russian characters is not political but simply a reflection of the real figure skating scene.
