Did The Police Do Anything Wrong

I was assaulted.... Police did nothing?

I was sexually assaulted in 2009, and I called the police and they came to my home.
I told them what happened and they wrote some stuff down, then left, and I never heard from them again...
I had cuts all over my chest and thighs, and they didn't even offer me medical attention......
I told them the man's name (I knew him) and I even told them what school he went to.....
Did I do something wrong?
Why didn't they do anything about it?

Why do Scorpio men never admit they do anything wrong (when they do)?

They never take the blame for their own shortcomings, and are always twisting things around and trying to make it sound like it's all the other person's fault. The Scorpio men I know play the martyr 1000 times more than this Pisces right here - and I though I was supposed be the "weak" one, SHEESH.

I am willing to compromise and admit I make mistakes, but they won't take any responsibility for anything. Their pride destroys relationships, even with the most flexible, unselfish and giving of partners.

All they do is take, take, take.....SELFISH!

Will the police respond if you call 911 and stay on the line but don't say anything?

If I called 911 and then just stayed on the line without saying anything, would they come? Or would they assume it was a prank/accidental call and ignore it?

I've always been curious about that because sometimes if I'm home alone, I get paranoid about what would happen if someone broke in or something. In which case, I probably couldn't talk to the 911 dispatcher or they would hear me talking and find me (if I was trying to hide or something).

Luckily, no one has ever broken in or anything (knock on wood) but it doesn't mean that it couldn't happen... I just want to know, *just in case*...

And also, how long would it take to track down your address by GPS if you're calling from a cell phone? I don't have a house phone in my room and I use my cell for everything. I called 911 on my cell once for a car accident outside my house and they had to ask me my address, the intersection, the township, etc and it took over 10 mins for someone to get there... (Luckily no one was hurt though).

What do the police put on a bad pig?

ham cuffs

What did the police do to help O.J. Simson win his case?

u have a cute pic hehe

Is it illegal if someone threatens me they will call the police with a false accusation about me? Should I call the police first and report that I have been threatened as such?

No, it’s not illegal merely to threaten to call the police with what you consider a “false accusation”. I’ve both taken these calls on 911 lines, and responded to them in the field. Calling first doesn’t mean anything at all. Many times I’ve (and any other cops) responded to a call and arrested the person who called 911. They almost always say “but I’m the one who called” or “I’m the one who called first”. Often, while one person calls, the other person also calls to “tell the real story”. People think that if they call, they’re going to automatically be granted victim status I guess…In your case, I don’t know if you mean they are threatening to call right this minute for something they allege is going on, or they texted you they’re going to tell the cops you’re a drug dealer at sometime in the future. In any event, it’s up to the police to investigate and determine if a crime occurred, and if so who committed it.. If someone knowingly, on purpose, just wanted to jam you up because they don’t like you for some reason, lied to the police, and made a false report of a crime..then they can be charged with making a false police report. Telling me about it first doesn't do much.. I’ve had people tell me that so and so might call to say I beat my kids, beat my dog, beat my wife, but I’m getting to you first so you’ll know it’s a lie. So when they call, you won’t waste your time on their lies. How do I know it’s a lie before it has been investigated? Also, keep in mind some stuff is subjective. Turns out you spank your toddler. Your neighbor who thinks all spanking is child abuse threatens to call the police.. If your neighbor says you’re abusing your kid by spanking him, it’s up to the police to determine if the spanking crosses the line into child abuse per CA penal code 273a/273b. You may consider it a “false accusation” but they may have reported what they thought was a crime in good faith. In that case, they would not be in trouble for making the false accusation.Hope that helps.

If you sneak out can your parents call the police an say you ran away?

Usually there's a specific time period...normally it's if you're gone for more than 48 hours and your parents don't know where you are (so you don't have permission) then they can call you in as a runaway and you can be taken to a juvenile detention center for at least a couple days if not more. The time period does vary from state to state so check into that.

But the safest thing you could do is to....not sneak out. I know, incredible thought, but if you sneak out then you know your parents would have said no so you know there's something wrong about the place you're going or the people you're hanging out with. Generally parents are looking out fro your best interests...listen to them and talk to them, try to compromise so you're both happy. Sneaking out makes them lose trust in you.
