Has Amazon slowed down their free shipping speed intentionally?

I am a Prime member and orders have started taking much longer since sometime this summer. What I really hate is that on the Prime product listing it will state “Free 2 day shipping with Prime” but when I am in the check out process, the shipping time is often doubled.I do a weekly gift to my grandson who lives in a neighboring state. I have to arrange for delivery on one of his mom’s two days off as their address is not secure for delivery drop-off when no one is home. Also my grandson expects to have his gift from me on Friday afternoon. He is disabled and does not understand corporate greed getting in the way of grandma’s gift getting to him on time, Hell I don’t either.Prime shipping benefits have gone downhill. I am going to start purchasing my grandson’s gifts from big-box stores online. I don’t mind paying reasonable shipping fees to have my orders delivered by a certain time. For me, one of the best things about Amazon was it’s two day shipping. Without it, why bother.

If it has left the building to be delivered, you could try getting in touch with the office for the delivery center that truck is dispatched by, whereby they may be able to send a message to the driver letting him know you'd be willing to meet him on area to retrieve the package, and see if some type of arrangement could be made. Finally, you could drive around the area hoping to spot the vehicle, but the delivery route will be large, and the odds are against you finding the vehicle. Are Fedex/UPS drivers trained to 'flag' an address if too many packages start being delivered there from various vendors?

I don’t know to be honest. Yes I would imagine if they come from certain countries. I.e. Syria could be one of those countries. But I would think if they’re several different countries that would be less likely to air up an alarm. I’ll go through a process I’ve been ill for since 11/17. I went into the hospital because I had a cyst growing from the lower part of my back and it wrapped around my spine. The surgery went off with no trouble I just had a gigantic crater or hole in my back that was so deep you could see my spine itself. My mom took pictures with her phone. Well she came to visit on 12/26/17 and my arm that had a piccline in it (right arm) was huge like pop eye it was so big my skin was opening up and it stunk. I did not notice because I became septic or was in septic shock. She went screaming down the hall for a dr. But he had gone for the day. This black nurse that had been pushing the cart up the hall with medication for people. My mom stopped her and the woman told her basically to get lost which resulted in my mom throwing her pills she had out for a different guy and throwing them down the hall. The woman called for security and they restrained my mom who said you have 5 minutes to get an ambulance here my son is messed up. So they came down and looked at my arm and listened. Well the issue was I had mrsa and vre in my found in my picc line. I remember waking up on this chair like they have at a dentist and a bi-pap on me to force me to breath I kept trying to rate it off and the nurses kept forcing it on. Well fast forward a year I’ve not healed and still have a giant wound there it doesn’t show the bone or my spine now but it won’t heel. Well let’s say it like this I’ve been having trouble with physical stamina so I found this product called human growth hormone and it freakin really helps. I haven’t disclosed this to anyone caring for me. It comes from India they rout it through France or Germany and I get scared the usps is onto me because they require a signature. You wonder how many of these drivers pick up a parcel and just by its shape try to guess its contents. I don’t know also it takes needles to inject into your belly or ass or thigh I just has to be fleshy not a vein or artery like a drug user. It makes me paranoid. Oh I can’t tell you. I think a P.O. Box would be a nice buffer between you and a curior.
