I am 26 years old and I want to play for Indian cricket team?

First thing first: Age is an overrated drawback in cricket. Do you know oldest cricketer to make a test debut was Mr John Southerton at the age of 49 years. Yes, it was in early phases of cricket but today also Misbah-ul-Haq is 40 and Younis Khan is 39 and they both are playing international cricket although in test format only. You would be knowing the failures faced by Abraham Lincoln before becoming president of the USA.Abraham Lincoln's "Failures" and "Successes"The point is there is never late to start something new and if I am right then you are not starting to play cricket. That means you are already halfway through. Pravin Tambe is still playing IPL at his forties. You have your whole life in front of you.Motivations apart, now the bitter truth. Most of the youngsters in India specially north India wishes to make a career in cricket and India is such a big country that even 1 percent of ours equals 1.3 crores people. Making all the mathatical calculations, the maximum number of people those can make their career in cricket at one point of time, including all the leagues, would come around roughly 1 lakh. Mind you this includes everything right from U-14 to international level. Now the ball is in your court. If you really are passionate to make a career in cricket then forget the age factor and with utter dedication, focus only on cricket. Today IPL has provided a great platform for instant recognition. But first you need to give this a serious thought. See, whether cricket will become a career for you in future is not in your hands. Right now you have your passion towards the game. So, keep your concentration only on your game and go out and play. No doubt, failures will come but how you will react to them would determine your career. But please never lose your hope and never give up. Life is not a DC wave but an AC wave, there are crests and troughs. So keep this in mind. It may happen that you may not get instant success but as I said there is never late to start something afresh.Hope it helps you!!!

Why does teams sing their national anthem before playing cricket match?

National Anthems are lyrical poems with with a deep sense of Patriotism. Likewise, sports tournaments also have an active representation of a nation. But then why to sing it before a Non-fictional event?! Probably these may be the reasons--National Anthems are Ceremonial- Many teams may have players whose origin is in some other country. It hardly races their spirits to hear another nation's anthem. However, a formality; just as students in school, God-believers and Atheists pray to God in the assembly, the team players sing the anthem in the name of the nation they represent. To Begin the Game- Trains start by a signal from a green flag, or on a whistle. But Cricket starts by the umpire at the wickets dropping his hand. Not A great start indeed! Thus, it is better thought to lengthen and majestify the commencement: Sing a song all like and Love.To Tune into the Game- Melodious songs might change their timbre half way down the notes but they do start with an accelarando. Similarly an unpredictable cricket match is only to start with notes that Empower the game. Just as one's surname holds gravity, So does a reminder of our nation. Everybody stands up to the music and that makes the players see and hear and feel who they are playing for: Themselves, the spectators or the nation at par. A motivation is set loose indeed when you sing what your nation thinks to be the Best.Respect to the Opponent- International matches do represent the International culture of a nation. When you sing along the anthem track of yours, you respect your nation and when you join the chorus of your opponent, you declare that your opponent is no enemy. Even if the team has an enmity down the memory lane, one stands up during the Anthem(of opponent nation) to acknowledge no count of enmity, at least in the spirit of Game. Thus, they are sung at the beginning of the Cricket match.

Which team do you support in cricket after your own country’s team, and why?

New ZealandConsider this.Population of the country of New Zealand - 4.6 million.Population of Chennai, my hometown in India - 7 million.New Zealand is the one team that utilises the limited resource available to them to the maximum. They have been constantly punching above their weight, and are never considered underdogs despite having such a limited talent pool.Their performance in world cups have been extremely consistent, sometimes more so than the usual favorites like India and South Africa. They seem to make the knockout stages almost every time and people tout them as perennial overachievers even though they consistently perform at a world class level.Summary of performances by New Zealand in world cups1975: Semi Finals1979: Semi Finals1983: Round 11987: Round 11992: Semi Finals1996: Quarter Finals1999: Semi Finals2003: Super Six2007: Semi Finals2011: Semi Finals2015: RunnerNew Zealand are also one of the very few teams who don't have many haters. They have produced champion cricketers like Richard Hadlee, Martin Crowe, Brendon McCullum and Kane Williamson. They have produced calm and respected cricketers like Stephen Fleming and Daniel Vettori. They have produced Maverick players like Shane Bond and Nathan Astle.Shane Bond running through the mighty Australian lineup in the 2003 world cup ( 5th Super: Australia v New Zealand at Port Elizabeth, Mar 11, 2003 ) and Nathan Astle scoring 222 runs in a fourth innings chase ( 1st Test: New Zealand v England at Christchurch, Mar 13-16, 2002 ) are some of my favorite cricketing moments growing up.So there is always a part of me which always supports New Zealand and feels satisfied when they win, sometimes even against India.

Australian cricket team representing Australia or VB?

It's just yet another example of the overly commercialised world that we live in. We see it in all sports: the participants having to wear the sponsors logos at all times to give them maximum exposure- just look at motor racing as the most hideous example of this.

You can take it two ways. From a purists point of view, the players should only wear their team colours, and completely eschew the adornment of any marketing materials. On the other hand, the sponsors put a lot of money into the game, which allows the players to have good salaries and a decent standard of living. So some form of repayment needs to be attributed: sponsors are businesses, not charities.

And this sort of thing has always gone on. Players often used to wear all manner of headgear during matches: remember Douglas Jardine's Harlequin cap?

Australia will, as always, wear the baggy green during the first session of the Test match. That tradition won't be broken.

I am an Indian but want to support the Pakistan cricket team. Why is there opposition? There is none when I support FC Barcelona.

Before answering your question I would like to show you something. These are some pictures of India vs Pakistan pre match debate of Asia cup 2018. In this debate Gautam Gambhir completely dominates the Pak media. When Shahid Afridi (Former Pakistan cricket team Captain) said that we should play more cricket so that the future generation enjoys the great rivalry between India and Pakistan. After that Gautam Gambhir replies ,“ Life of soldiers and people is more important than cricket firstly relations between India and Pakistan needs to be better than surely we play cricket.”Now coming to your question,Despite being an Indian you want to support Pakistan cricket team. But I just want to ask you one simple question why??Why do you want to support any other team not just Pakistan when your national team is doing so good.why do you want to support any other player when you have legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni,Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar,Rahul Dravid,Saurav Ganguly and many more.Don't you feel proud when Yuvraj Singh hits six sixes in an over.Don't you feel proud when Virender Sehwag hits Triple century against Pakistan in Multan.Don't you feel proud when Sachin Tendulkar smashing Shoaib Akhtar Waseem Akram and Waqar Younus, one of the world's fastest and finest bowlers.Don't you feel proud when Pakistan's media said we don't lose to a team we lose to Virat Kohli.Don't you feel proud when Pakistan's media said we need a captain like Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Why do you need to support any other team when your nation itself has so many great players.Just think about it.Cheers for Indian cricket team!!Thanks..Image source:-Google

Who is founder of Indian cricket? Nayudu, Patodi, Amarnath, Gavaskar, Kapil or Sourav ?

Yes we are talking about Indian cricket, not about individual rivalries b/w dhoni & gambhir or dhoni & Sehwag or dhoni & other seniours.Beating a specific team Australia?who else did you want him to beat?Australia was the invincible team of that era & it was all about defeating Australia & Australia only.Yes it was all about beating Australia & nothing else.Nothing else mattered.Beating such a mighty team was far bigger & greater achievement.

Tell me who else bet australia in that era?Who else?answer this question u biased dhoni fan, apart from India who else bet Australia in that era?who?Ur statements shows that u r the most biased person in this planet.India ended the consecutive 16 test match victories of Australia not once but twice in that era.Instead of being proud of these achievements by India u r degrading those wins just to put ur dhoni ahead, its a disgrace to India really.

And it's not that he has not bet other teams.

So u lost the ganguly vs dhoni debate so u r trying to put nayadu ahead,..lol...

Yes even I mailed MBIOF on this,& I also appreciated dhoni in that mail but still I never got a reply.Clearly this man is too biased & a disgrace for our country.

No I haven't sent that text to any users except u.Part of the email was copied text but I also mentioned & appreciated dhoni.I have always been telling that both have been 2 of the best captains India ever had & have appreciated dhoni many times but u never seem to listen.I can post many links where u have totally criticised dada just because u r a dhoni follower.I have never criticised dhoni just unlike u just because I m a ganguly fan.I might have criticised him for genuine reasons like his team politics or captaincy methods or slow batting etc.

For example, see ur comment while resolving ur recent question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

That's completely anti-ganguly & anti-india.Gives people an impression that u must be a Pakistani troll hiding in Indian face.

Edit-Even I have never criticised dhoni since India started doing well since the champions trophy. He bravely dropped the seniours from the team & justified it by winning the CT,that was just fantastic.U r falsely claiming that I criticise dhoni when India wins, which I have never done.

Please tell me the Nicknames of cricketers?

Why aren't the IPL teams are listed on National Stock Exchange? Please read........?

Listing IPL teams on the stock exchanges will help them to get rid of several controversies:-

♦The IPL teams shall come under the provisions of Companies Act,1956 and SEBI which insider trading(owner or the team management involved in leaking the team's information) shall be subjected to criminal offence the punishment for which is not less than three years of imprisonment.Similar will be the punishment for the players or umpires involved in the scandal.

♦Billion dollar Scams which are earthed in the files like IPL Tax Exemption, providing free of cost power to the stadiums will be shone in the public and CBI can, then, acquire the power to investigate into it.

♦Unknown mysteries like " From where the owner is bringing money" can be made accountable.

♦The owners of the IPL team will be made public and there shall be no "benami" shareholder of the team, which is now rampant in almost all the teams (Bet!).

♦The management of the team shall be made accountable to the public for any mismanagement or financial irregularities done.

♦Annual General Meetings shall occur once in a year where aggrieved shareholders can query directly to the owners about the team....

Isn't it an irony that the politicans are rooting for a law curbing fixing when they have an excellent option of listing the IPL teams on Stock Exchanges?
They adopted from English the launch of Premier Leagues but why arent' they listed the Teams like the former did (Ex: Sheffield United,Southampton,Watford, MU,Arsenal,LIverpool, etc)

Not mentioning the benefits that will Boost the country's economy (which is in the least since last 10 years) through foreign investment etc.
