Diffarnce Bet Mcm Computer Management And Mca Computer Application

Which one is better, an MCA or an MSc in computer science?

In my opinion Msc computer science is better than MCA. I myself is a degree holder in Msc computer science but i was taking coaching classes for MCA during my last year of Bsc computer science hons. There are many reasons which according to me make Msc comp sc better than MCA:-Msc is a 2 years course whereas MCA is a 3 years course. Many students opt for going for MCA after completing there BCA which make it 3+3 i.e. 6 years course in total. Almost all companies treat MCA degree holders equivalent to Btech (engineering) thus you will spend 6 years doing BCA and MCA which will hold value equivalent to 4 years engineering. Thus spending 2 years more which is not even worth it.Also, the first year of MCA is the repetition of first year of the corresponding computers bachelor course.Bsc + msc is considered equivalent to Bca + Mca . In former spending 5 years and in latter spending 6 years. Also if you are going to go in teaching line the also msc is anytime preferable as compared to mca. Thus keeping all points in mind, msc makes a better option if both mca and msc is a choice from premier institution.

What are the career options after earning a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)?

There are numerous options available for you in IT industry after completing BCA. If you want to get into IT then knowledge matters a lot than your degree. It doesn’t matter if you have done your BCA in distance mode or regular. Always thrive for knowledge.let’s discuss some career options one by one:1.MCA : You can go for MCA if your financial condition allows you. MCA is another BCA with some more knowledge. Try to crack various entrance examinations conducted by good universities like NIT, JNU etc.2. in service based companies: You can apply for various IT jobs at service based companies like Wipro, TCS, Cognizant etc. If you have average knowledge then this is the best option.3.Job in product based companies: You can join product based companies if you have above average knowledge. Since you are doing BCA you must have a good exposure to programming. Start learning from various online tutorials available on the internet. Please note that do not waste your time in learning different programming languages, learn only one or two but learn them fully to the core. Programming is all about logic, language is just a tool. Along with programming language the core knowledge of data structures and algorithms is must. You can also go for specialization in fields like web development or android development.3.Digital Marketing: You can also make your career in digital marketing. This field is emerging day by day.4.WIPRO WASE: WASE (Wipro Academy of Software Excellence) is a unique program launched by Wipro in 1995. It offers BCA & Bsc.(CS) students a chance to pursue higher education – M.Tech in Software Engineering in collaboration with Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani (Rajasthan, India).5.Freelancing: You can do freelancing too if you have excellent command over any programming language or designing skills and good communication skills. Popular areas are web development, android/iOS app development, digital marketing, graphics designing and web designing.Do not run after money , run after knowledge, run after your passion. Every field has equal amount of opportunities provided that you are interested in it.And one more thing, there is a shortage of skilled developers in the market. Try to be the best.

What is the difference between MCA and MCM? Which one is the better option, and why?

Obviously MCM means something, as it is 1900 in Roman numerals.Whereas there is no “A” designation in Roman numerals and MCA is meaningless.

Can I do MCA after earning a Bcom?

Dear Apoorva, Are you serious ? Why do you want to go for MCA ? Let me guess, are you confused between CA and MCA ? MCA is Master of Computer Application. It is a technical side of Computer Science. The course contents you can check on the link MCA Course Details .If you are really interested in Computer programming,iOS/Android Development,Big DATA,SAP you can opt for this course but you need to have background knowledge of Computer Architecture atleast. Otherwise it will be difficult to understand technical terms in CS. Statistics,Matha and Financial Management are exta subjects in MCA while you need to focus on subjects like C programming,Operating System,Data structures,Networking etc.I think you should go ahead with Bcom or ICWA or look for Bank jobs. Most of MCA graduates go for Bank jobs as it has more Pay,better work environment etc.hope that helps.

What course can I opt for after completing BCA other than MCA?

Before answering the question that you have posted let me clarify a common notion that people perceive, "MCA is a specialization which a BCA should follow if interested in the field".MCA does not follow BCA.Had MCA been a specialization of BCA, it would have been mandatory for anyone pursuing MCA to have BCA as a pre-requisite.  But the pre-requisite for MCA is to be a graduate in any field. So even if you complete your BSc(Botany) you can go ahead and enroll for MCA.MCA is meant for people who have studied another subject in their graduation days and want to enhance it via adding computer studies to their resume. Thus such students get an opportunity to work in a company whose domain is similar to what they studied in graduation and the same students help build computer application for them as they understand business need.Now...coming to your question. I would recommend you to work in an IT based firm for a year or two. Following BCA, I did my MSc(IT) and to be frank it really it was all a repetition. For me MSc(IT) was a compact BCA in two years. If you go ahead with a course like MBA, you will end up changing your field. MBA will seldom give you an opportunity to continue coding(...if you love coding). My suggestion would be, after BCA :Work for a year or two, see what aspect of computers interests you  and then go ahead and do an MS with that as a specialization. If you already know what is your computer related field of interest, go ahead with MS in that. And most importantly, if you do not like coding, DON'T go into a computer related field and spoil your life. A lot of people get into a good company and realize later that they don't belong there.ALL THE BEST....!!!
