Difference Differences

Apart from physical differences, what is the difference between a male and a female?

I believe there is no difference as such but when it comes to emotional stability, women tend to be much more stable than men. We even tend to be cold to the other person's feelings more than what guys could be(there are exceptions obviously but I have seen this trait very prevalent among the girls around me). Another difference that could be is that the man intends to outrage our dignity and in return we wish to castrate! Simple.

What is/are the difference/differences between fascism and absolutism (dictatorship/authoritarianism...

Fascism is a system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

Absolutism is political theory holding that all power should be vested in one ruler or other authority. If we're talking about the history of Europe, then absolutism is a term used to describe a form of monarchical power that is unrestrained by any other institutions, such as churches, legislatures, or social elites.

Louis XIV of France is an example of an absolute monarch. Mussolini was a fascist.

Tell the difference between understandable “cultural differences" vs inconsiderate, mannerless ignorance?

My coworkers/housemates R about 90% from1 particular impoverished country (for this venue, I'll call it "Venus"). Of that 90% about 80 % of those R Muslim. 2 of many possible examples: They pray in Islamic chants, often not in the bedroom/other private area. In a congested area of the living room they say that praying facing east is necessary. Is this the only area in our house that faces east? I have been told to turn the TV which is at a normal level--down or mute it b/c it's interfering with their “focus on Allah”. Another: There’s a store down the street from the building I work in. Every time I go to the store, I ask if anyone needs anything b/c it’s quite a hike. Whenever when they go, they only ask others from Venus what they may need. I've asked them why & they say it's "cultural". Americans say "It's cultural yes but, only b/c you're female and not to be respected by their culture." How can I tell if a behavior is cultural or the person's just an azz? What do you think?

In writing, when should you use “difference” or “differences”?

If you are pointing out a singular difference between two things than difference. If there are multiple differences than plural.

What is/are the difference/differences between a smart psychopath and a genius?

The short answer is: it is possible for a psychopath to have a high IQ, but they can never be a genius according to the definition of the term. Geniuses make discoveries and build things that revolutionize the world. Psychopaths may profit to the disadvantage of others and amass big fortunes, but they do not build or invent things themselves. They succeed through the powers of manipulation.Depending on the definition of genius and psychopath, it is possible to be both. Here is one example: Sam Vaknin. Sam Vaknin is, as admitted himself, a malignant narcissist and not a psychopath. He claims himself he has an IQ of 180 (no test specified), and claims he did a dissertation on a theory on chronons and time asymmetry.[1]But he is certainly very fluid with words and is much smarter than your average bunny. Smart enough to defraud the stock market, become a millionaire, lose it all, go to prison, and come back as a writer for narcissism. These days he has published over a dozen books on narcissism, and does seminars[2] around the world about narcissism, where usually he presents himself as a narcissist and lets others ask him questions that they never had the chance to ask other narcissists. Is Vaknin a genius or a psyhopath?Vaknin has contributed to the study of narcissism worldwide and likely is a near-genius. Which also confirms that he most likely is not a psychopath, but a narcissist. A psychopath would be unlikely to make a life turn like Vaknin did.Footnotes[1] Sam Vaknin - Wikipedia[2] sam vaknin seminar — Richard Grannon
