Differences Between The Movie

What are the differences between the movie Troy and the text version by Edith Hamilton?!?

i dont know the version by edith i read the homer version , Ajax was NOT killed , in fact he was THE strongest man in the whole war and died at sea after troy fell , Menelaus was NOT killed and he got Helen back and lived happily ever after , Achilles was not a skinny effete man like Brad Pitt , though his face had almost female beauty , he was large and strong , few people could even carry his spear let alone throw it , his shout alone was enough to push armies back .those are the main differences i recall and the cause of my disappointment with the Troy movie .

What's the differences between a movie and a film?

A movie is another name for a film or motion picture. This word is mostly used in American English. Although the movie is commonly used in spoken language, many people tend to use the word film in academic and formal writing.A film can either refer to “a series of moving pictures, usually shown in a cinema or on television and often telling a story” or “a thin flexible strip of plastic or other material coated with light-sensitive emulsion for exposure in a camera used to produce photographs or motion pictures.”

What is the difference between a video, a film, and a movie?

In 2018, there's no real difference. The terms used to mean different things.Arguably, a film used to be shot on film, and was shown in theaters; “film" also meant the broader world of cinematic art, and sounded a bit more serious than movie but not quite as serious as “motion picture"; but so too were many TV shows shot on film. A movie used to be in the theater, but it would also play on TV. There were also TV movies, movies made for TV.Video ( not “a" video ) used to be the cheaper electronic motion capture system that was the alternative to movie film.“Video" as a single word was probably shortened from “music video" as best as I recall, and after specifically YouTube dug in to the internet, video seems to meen more clips, sketches, short pieces where movie or film are reserved to refer to longer, feature pieces.Video and film can both be used as verbs. Videotape was the earlier term for both the noun object and the verb activity; video is the clunky sounding verb used by millenials and younger to describe the verb of what is also known as filming or “to film".The whole realm has changed so quickly that English has not caught up and pruned the word tree back.Call it whatever.

What is the difference between movie, film and video?

If you mean what appears on your screen, the answer is nothing, but if you want the technical answer, then effectively there is no difference between a film and a movie, other than a film, a long piece of photographic medium, is the medium on which the movie or ‘film’ is recorded. A video on the other hand is a cassette containing a long piece of magnetic tape, on which can be recorded any sort of image, it can be a movie/film, or family images, or a landscape panorama, or whatever you point your video camera at.The more modern medium is the DVD which technically replaces tape, and on occasion, film media.

What are differences between the iliad and the movie troy?

Where do we start. Everything I mention is what is in the book and changed in the movie.

- Ajax knew Achilles (Their cousins)
- Patroclus and Achilles are cousins, and Achilles new that Patroclus was taking his armor
- Hector ran away from Achilles
- Paris never retreated, he was saved by Aphrodite
- The book ends with Hector's burial
- Achilles wasn't at the start of the war
- Helen didn't want to be with Paris
- Agamemnon is not that bad of a person and doesn't die at Troy (Read Orestia)

Things only in the book and not at all in the movie
- The Gods actions
- Diomedes, Aeneas (barely mentioned in the movie)

Wow, way too many to mention

What's the difference between "&" and "and" in movie credits?

This normally applies to the screenwriters. An ampersand indicates a writing partnership while "and" means that there was not a collaboration.
