What's the difference between a CPU and Intel Core Processor?
CPU is the computer tower. There are two main branded processors, Intel and AMD Intel just came out with their I3, I5, I7 processors I-3 is dual core but will allow you to do multiple things at once with a fast rate. usually 2.1GHz to 2.3GHz. I-5 is dual core as well but has turbo-boost. mimiks a quad core processor. so a little faster than the I-3. about 2.4GHz to 2.66GHz I-7 is quad core, is better for intense gaming, HD video editing or running AUTO-CAD software. about 2.7GHz to even a 3.0 GHz In all reality the higher the number you go the better. the good thing about the intel processors is that they give you a decent battery life for the laptop and they underclock the cores that aren't being used to overclock the ones that are so virtually your computer will be faster. Difference between computer processors?
Dual core means two cores. These are basically logical and not physical. These logical cores can actually handle two dedicated tasks at the same time rather than a single task (in case of a single core processor). Compare two processors -- a single core at 3 GHz and a dual-core at 3 GHz.Basically both have the same processing power, but the dual-core can handle tasks MORE EFFICIENTLY. If you ask why, then the answer would be - there are multiple processes running at a time in any Operating System. A single core processor can only handle one process at a time. But a dual-core processor can handle two processes at at time. Thus if you open a big application, the processes in the background or the big application do not suffer from bottlenecks in case of a dual-core processor. This makes us believe that a dual-core processor is more powerful, but actually it is more efficient that makes it more powerful at times.

What is the difference between 1.6 ghz processor and a 1.8 ghz processor?
See i am buying a new tablet pc and i was wondering what's the difference in a 1.6ghz processor and a 1.8ghz processor. The first tablet has these specifications 1.8ghz intel dual core processor 1 gb ram 100 gb hardrive a cd and dvd burner and a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 up to 128 MB of shared video memory and is $780 The second is exactly the same except it has a 1.6ghz intel dual core processor and is $650 so i was wondering what the difference was and is it a big difference and which tablet pc should i buy
