Under the education section on a job application, does "Major Studies/Degrees pertain to a high school diploma?

For a person who has no college, the answer is HS Diploma for degree. Under Major/Studies most people who attend the basic curriculum in high school have either a general studies or college prep program. However, you may have attended a specialized curriculum at your local Health Careers High School, or Science and Engineering High School, or maybe you were in a Vocational Tech program that prepared you for a specialized job following high school. These would be the most applicable. If you learned a specialized language skill such as Spanish, it is good, but use care in putting it on the application if you are not at a conversational level. They might hire you and expect you to work in a bilingual position, and then fire you "for cause" based on misrepresentation on your application.

I have completed my diploma in ECE, what is next?

You have three choices either you choose further studies or find a job or do a certification course. If you don't have financial problems then I would recommend you do the graduation. As you have done diploma in ECE do the degree in electronics and instrumentation or in EEE. Else you can do certification course like Automation, networking course like CCNA, Telecom and wireless course, robotics, embedded systems or pcb designing and try to do some projects related to it. Another best option is do apprenticeship in any organization it will give a lot of insight of an industry also some good contacts and apprentice gets first preference in recruitment process in that particular organisation where you have done your apprenticeship (also depends on your performance). Rest there are diploma jobs available try for it. All the best brother. Achieve your dreams.

What are the options of study in India after completing IB Diploma Program?

International Baccalaureate IB diploma program is very much suited to the students who would pursue their higher studies abroad..But we can go abroad for pursuing higher studies by writing SAT examination which can be written by any student of junior college level from any stream or board..Mainly the students from IB who write the SAT are recognized and respected by the world's leading universities, and evidence suggests that higher rates of DP students go on to university and higher education study than non-IBstudents.So an IB student has an edge over non IB student pursuing higher studies abroad. Now coming to the question if the student is really willing to study his/her higher studies in India say Engg. or Medicine. Then it is better to join in CBSE or ISC or State board after class X as all the boards in India now are following common core syllabus prescribed by NCERT.Moreover the syllabus for the Engg. Entrance exam JEE MAIN and ADVANCE is based on NCERT and most importantly the NEET exam conducted in India by CBSE board which follows NCERT..So, It is highly difficult for an IB student to prepare for competitives and pursue graduation in India which is altogether an extreme task..Most importantly AIU association of Indian universities doesn't include IB as eligibility criteria for admission into colleges for higher studies..So, the options in India after IB are very bleak..

What is next after diploma in mechanical engineering?

1.Try to secure a job in campus placement in a reputed company and then with job, pursue AMIE in Mech. Engg. (Which is equivalent to degree). After completing AMIE you can look after better jobs by appearing in various degree level exams conducted by UPSC, SSC, PSUs, GATE, etc.2. Or after diploma, you can do full time degree (lateral entry, 3 years). This degree gives you an edge over the students who are pursuing 4 years degree after 10+2.3. If you are not so lucky to get a campus placement or can't do lateral degree then you should prepare rigorously for the various competitive exam.Students, who choose to do diploma are generally not so economically well so they prefer the First Path.
