Direct Entry To Dental College In North America

How much BDS cost in private college?

Depending on the college or the management Dept. of the college , you may be charged. Firstly when you take admission through management quota they charge you capitation fee(donation, which I don't know who suggested the word. ) Capitation fee could be from 5 to 8 lakhs. And the college/tution fees may be from 1.5 to 3 lakhs. One thing I would like to tell you is that choose wisely while choosing a private college. Because they just want to flourish their BUSINESS, they don't care how much good or bad doctor you become. You just pay them, they will offer you THE DEGREE, and rest is yours, how much you learned , how much practice you got, no one cares, except some kind staff members.Thank God that there are still some kind people present on Earth who help you a lot.

At what age do most people finish dental school?

In North America, I’d say 26/27, but obviously there is a range as everyone’s situation is different.Finish high school: 17/18Bachelor’s degree: 21/22Assuming you actually get into dentistry right after a Bachelor’s degree and don’t need to augment with a Master’s degree or other studies or work experience while you try again: 26/27If you do a Masters (2–3 years) or other: 29/30+As a second career, depends on when you make that change. Not including the international dental students who hold a foreign dental degree, from my class, the oldest person in the class was 35 when we finished (she was previously a nurse, while other people who were older had previous careers as dental hygienist, dental assistant, teacher, researcher, one fellow was a car insurance adjuster).Knock off a year if you can get in to dental school after 3 years of undergrad: 25/26.For other countries where it is direct entry to dentistry after high school, you are looking at age 23/24.Age shouldn’t really be an issue, though maturity in a professional program is an expectation. What matters is whether you enjoy the profession and can see yourself practicing dentistry for the next 25 - 40 years. These days, however, you also need to add whether you are able to make the financial commitment and how much debt you are willing to service to achieve this career.

Can we take a direct admission for an MBBS in the US?

There is no MBBS in the US. The first medical degree is called MD. It is same as the MBBS, just a different name. It is confusing because MD is a medical specialization degree in Commonwealth nations.Anyway, in order to get into an American MD program, you would need to atleast have an undergraduate degree. It is preferable to have your undergraduate degree from US or Canada. If your UG degree is from outside US/Canada, you need at least one year of college level education in the US. Secondly, if you are international student, most schools would ask you to show proof that you can financially support yourself and some will also ask you to put 4 years of tuition fee in an escrow account.

Allusion to "Things Fall Apart" or "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde"?

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone knew of a movie, or television show in which a reference to the novels "Things Fall Apart" or "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" was made at all. This must be a direct allusion, using some sort of specific part of the book, preferably stating the name of the novel. First person to answer with a legitimate answer recieves 10 points!!!
