Director Gives Me A Look

My teacher gives me dirty looks?

This teacher I have in my hs doesn't like me at all. I had her last year and she said we had difficulties and I am holding a grudge against her because of it. Now, its like a "warzone" between us in class. She always blames me for my phone being out, when its not. She also does things like saying I "sit and stare the whole class." and other things like that. But the main thing is that she stares at me evilly! In the halls she gives me these looks like she hates me and wants me away, I was once had to talk to her in the hallway about how she marked me absent accidently and she gave me the nastiest look when I was talking to her, and my friend even noticed since she was right there. In class, she always stares at me and I stare right back giving her in the same look she gives me. I just end it by lifting my head up high and rolling my eyes. Its really annoying because this always happens. What do I do? Do I stare back or do what I am doing?

What makes a good movie director?

Great is pretty vague and subjective. That's why greatest lists generally say much more about the people who make them up than about the list items themselves. Still, and for what it's worth, here are some criteria for judging greatness in film direction. The following criteria are not exhaustive; you may think of more on your own. But a really terrific director should have certain qualities to ensure production goes smoothly.Vision -Great directors have terrific vision and can see the film from its conception through to its final product. They never lose sight of the ultimate goal.Authority -Great directors must have a strong sense of authority. They are responsible for leading a team to create an outstanding finished product and must command the team to ensure they are working at their best.Creativity -They must be very creative, and able to generate ideas for stories, backgrounds, music, and other elements involved in a film production.Technologically Savvy -A great director is familiar with many, if not all, of the technological elements that are involved in the film making process, and has a grasp on what is feasible and what is not.Open Minded -Great directors are open-minded to changes in their ideas. They accept input readily and consider other points of view without judgement.Communication -Great directors must have excellent communication skills. They must be able to clearly articulate what their production goals are and be able to work with all team members to accomplish that goal.Drive -A great director has a tremendous sense of drive and ambition. He or she is willing to do whatever it takes to rise to the top of the industry and make great films.Problem Solving - Great directors can quickly address problems that arise during production. They are able to identify problems and figure out the best way to fix them.Decisiveness -Great directors must be able to make firm decisions and stick to them to help ensure production stays on track.Grace Under Pressure -Great directors are able to handle pressure well. They understand that complications will arise during the film making process and are able to handle the stress.

Girl gives me dirty looks for no reason?

This girl in my grade gives me dirty looks randomly. I swear I didn't do anything or say anything to her AT ALL. She hates me for no reason. You might think she does it because I'm unpopular or uncool, but not to brag, I have a lot of friends. (Not to be conceited.) Why is she doing that?

How can I get my boss to stop giving me dirty looks?

Kick her in the nuts. (sounds like she's got a pair) Or punch her in the guts! (that's always professional) Or just pull her to one side and say (in your most professional voice of course) listen, I feel like you are giving me greasers. Can you please stop? If you don't I'll slit your throat like a Royal Pig. It will be fine if you just smile....
If all else fails just take a dump on her desk and deny everything.
Man I'm full of handy hints....

What would cause a director-level manager to refuse to look me in the eye or acknowledge me when I am in meetings?

If you can't think of anything you did which may have caused this, I would guess that he's jealous. Don't be surprised that people of a much higher professional rank can feel insecure over their subordinates' capability, transparency, charisma or the like. His behaviour is 1)evasive and 2) insincere. An experiment to test this hypothesis is to agree with him. If that warms him to you, he is definitely insecure about your qualities.

What makes a great feature film director?

Being a director is being a creator. As such his or her job is to create life that audience will believe… Easier said than done.So in a nutshell, a great director must create a believable world setting for the narration he wishes to give. He’s the grand puppet master pushing actors to believe in their own origin and motivations. He must make them look innards to make them express their guts on the screen. Its why a great director is also a very good translator. A translator of worlds, peoples and stories. He must take all those elements and assemble them in a cohesive full spectrum visual and auditive narration. So the type of movie they create is only affected by the complexity of it. A sci-fi director will have to juggle with more visual elements than one creating a drama in the real world, since he will have to create and articulate a completely original world.Besides, not all directors knows everything that needs to be known when it comes to story telling. Some will be good with actors, others will be good with image composition, others with ambiance (musical and on). But overall, a great director is a great world creator, with fine psychological and sociological skills. Because in the end, you can only translate what you know of the world, so if you don’t learn about it, you better stay home. Some will claim that you need to start early to articulate your view on the world, making lots of movies. But in the end, it's to learn about the tools to render your story into the real but 2d world. But to really shine you’ll need to know everything that needs to be known about the 3D world. Experience is the key, and school, will only help you articulate your ideas but they won’t contribute to their qualities. Something a great director will be able to find and articulate to share with the world.

It always looks like my boyfriend gives me dirty looks?

Ms Paradise, don't take it personally. If everything is going fine in the relationship when he's not tired then I wouldn't put too much weight behind the looks. I personally get very grumpy when I'm tired. It'd doesn't mean that I am mad or don't care about who's talking to me or with me, it just means I'm tired and I want to sleep. I don't know why,.. it must be a flaw in the man. Okay, I just said I have a flaw,.. see what you've done now!!
