Discoloured Top Help

The suede on my shoes is discolored and rough. Why, and how can I fix this?

I’m really sorry to hear this. I love suede and have several pairs of different colored suede shoes.Fact is they are extremely hard to clean and sometimes the cleaning will make the spot more rough. If it’s a stain you could try extremely light dish soap or detergent but very very little on an only damp rag and blot the area - do not rub only blotting. Then clean the rag out and try to blot dry.BUT ———If it is just an area of dirt and discoloration there is a thing they sell it’s basically like a stone for cleaning suede. This you can rub gently against the area and see where you get.It works to an extent.Depends on color of suede and degree of stain damageAny shoe maker usually has them.Good luck. The stone was used on the left shoe. It’s better but will never be exactly like the rightIf you go the water route do NOT use a lot. Personally I would try the stone first. They are tough because you probably spilled something on them or stepped in a puddle and didn’t dry properly.

Discolored fingernail on a infant?

I had the same thing happen to my son when he was about 4 weeks. It is just an infection from putting their fingers in their mouth or from getting their nails cut for the first time. Did you cut his nails recently. Don't worry about it. I never even took my son to the dr for it because I knew what it was and how to fix it. All you need to do is put a wash cloth under hot water and then put it on his finger for about a minute three times a day. After I did this it went away in a couple days. BUT, if it starts to get worse or doesn't improve then see a doctor about it.

Help needed with discoloured white Egyptian cotton duvet cover.?

I bought a fantastic Egyptian cotton duvet cover and a pair of pillow cases; they are luxuriously soft and a dream to sleep with.

For sometime now I have noticed the top of the cover has become noticeably discoloured. At first I thought it was the direct sunlight, I was correctly informed that the sun bleaches, so this would not be the culprit.

I wash it regularly with biological soap tablets and a 1/4 cup of white vinegar in place of fabric softener. I have a very good front loading washing machine too. I follow the care labels correctly also.

It could well be that it is just dirty, as it is the top of the duvet cover. I was hoping some one could give some ideas as to why it has changed colour, is it just a build up of dirt and if so why has it not been washed out?

The care label has the no bleach symbol, but does any one advise me to bleach and would it solve the problem? I thought this was the most likely solution.

I know there are many stain removing products on the market, but I am not sure comfortable I am with them. I don't leave stains and wash to make sure things stay clean in the first place.

Kindest regards,
claughton86

My nose is discolored and it's all white/yellow. How can I restore it to its natural color?

the following steps applies not only to nose discoloration but also to all skin discoloration.Step 1Apply the juice of one lemon to your discolored nose twice daily with a cotton ball. According to "The Doctors Book of Home Remedies," lemon juice is acidic enough to remove the top layer of discolored skin. With continued use, results should be apparent within six to eight weeks. Rubbing your skin with a sliced red onion provides the same effects, as onion juice and lemon juice contain the same acidity.that applies also to your nose.Step 2Wash your face with extra virgin olive oil and a warm, wet washcloth. According to carefair.com , over-the-counter cleansing creams are harsh on your skin, and can actually worsen skin discoloration. Extra virgin olive oil is gentle on your skin and adds moisture, helping fade brown skin spots. Apply olive oil to your skin and wipe clean with a warm, wet washcloth. Follow with a lemon juice and water rinse for added fading benefits.Step 3Massage castor oil into your discolored skin when a rough top layer texture is present. According to "The Doctors Book of Home Remedies," applying castor oil to discoloration twice daily may help smooth out the skin as well and break down excess melanin. Larger spots benefit from wearing a bandage soaked with castor oil overnight.Step 4Eat plenty of vitamin C-enriched foods, such as broccoli and citrus fruits. Vitamin C is essential for your skin as it fights the free radicals responsible for skin discoloration, according to care fair Resources and Information.. Vitamin C also aides with tissue repair, helping your skin to heal properly from the inside out.Step 5Drink a daily tea made from burdock, red clover or milk thistle to cleanse the blood stream and help remove skin discoloration. These herbs, according to care fair Resources and Information., are antioxidants responsible for cleaning your body of environmental toxins. Purchase these herbs at your local health food store.i hope these steps are helpful.

Penis discoloration ????

glad you said hes circumcised. makes it easier to answer.

the part of the skin from his belly up the penis a ways is shaft skin. It is more darkly pigmented than normal body skin.

Then there woudl be a circumcision scar - typically a darker brown ring around the penis.

From the scar to the glans/head is what was formerly the underside of his foreskin and it is always light; possibly even pinkish.

So, he is not discoloured; merely showing all the variations of a normal circumcised penis.

to see the same effect on a penis with foreskin, simply retract the foreskin as far as possible and you will observe the darker shaft skin and light under the foreskin skin only no corcimcision scar.

What are the causes of a dark upper lip, and some discolouration on the lower (thin line)?

If someone has developed dark lips over the period of time this might be due to following reasons:. Excessive use of cosmetics- Lipsticks. Over-exposure to sun. Excessively dehydrated lips. Unwholesome lifestyle habits- smoking, excess consumption of hot beverages like- tea and coffee. Lack of routine lip exfoliation activityLip skin is quite delicate and fragile, it is more sensitive to damage than our facial skin. Regular exfoliation helps to shed dark dead skin that has accumulated over time and leads to darkening of lips.I strongly support use of natural ingredients for routine skin & hair care. A lot of DIY recipes are available online. Natural ingredients are safe to use and are milder on skin.Below are few natural ingredients to help fight dark lips:.Cucumber extract: YES!!!! Cucumber is known for its amazing effect on dark circles. But little does people know about its benefit for dark lips. Cucumber is rich in Vit. C, a powerful anti-oxidants which boost Collagen production. Helps to restore the suppleness of lips. Caffeic acid in cucumber reverses sun damage and helps to lighten dark lips.. Cane Sugar: rich in GLYCOLIC ACID (Natural peeling agent), acts as mild exfoliator. Gently exfoliates dark dead lip skin.. Aloe Vera Gel: rich in anti-oxidants & vitamins, moisturizes the dehydrated skin. Helps in cell renewal..Glycerine: Good occulsive agent, locks in moisture. Soothes dry chapped lips.Carrot oil: Rich in Vit.A and beta-carotene, makes skin resistant to sun damage. It is an excellent skin lightening agent, helps to improve the skin tone of lips.. Natural exfoliating grains: Walnut shell powder, sugar granules for mild exfoliation. If you are not a DIY person you can choose a ready to use option available online on Amazon.Hope this helps. Thanks

How to discolor polyester clothes?

I need to fade (or discolor) my polyester running top. Now its color is a very bright electric blue. I'd like to get a less bright color (even white or any other color would be ok anyway).
What is the quickest way to get it (without harming the fabric)?

ROOT CANAL TOOTH DISCOLORATION?

It sounds like your root canal treatment failed. It happens sometimes. Your tooth likely fused to the bone. I would ask your dentist about internal bleaching of the tooth and some composite work. You couold maybe get a veneer on that tooth depending on which one it is but that is expensive any you will likely have to do multiple teeth to match. Do not let any dentist talk you into removing the tooth unless you have severe resorption. That is a process in which the tooth dissolves within the bone. Your tooth would be loose if that happened. You do not necessarily need a crown. Many dentists don't put crowns on front teeth immediately after root canals because it isn't always needed and it takes away important tooth structure. That gives you time to see if you need just some composite (tooth colored) fillings, a veneer, a crown or even an implant. EVerything you do to your teeth is permanent, so you should be as conservative as possible when dealing with these things.

I had the same problem with my front tooth following a car accident.

The guy going on about gutta percha and infection is ranting, don't listen to him. He didn't even answer your question. FYI: Amalgam is not used in crowns or restorations involving cosmetics, even pfm. I don't even know a dentist who will touch amalgam now.
