Disney Career In Dance

What would best prepare me for a career in Disney animation?

Have a sketchbook with you and observe life around you.  Try to draw honestly and truthfully.  When looking at life, try to set questions for yourself like.. How do people sit? How does a man sit vs a woman sitting?  How do old people sit compared to younger people?  Do rich people sit differently then poorer people? How does my mother sit?  and how is it different from my father?  What are they thinking about when they are sitting?  How does that effect how they sit?  .. and this is simply just on the subject of sitting.. you can expand it to how people stand.. walk.. dance.. sports.. ballet.. read.. etc really any action that is motivated by a thought process is a worthy subject to observe, study, and draw from! This will not improve your drawing/observational skills but also create good thinking habits for yourself.. At Disney, I believe Milt Kahl saying that drawing is about thinking.. and this is essential for a good career at Disney animation whether it's hand-drawn animation, CG, stop motion..etcGood luck!

Who's sick of disney channel stars?

I just made a question about who will be the next paris or lindsay lohan in disneychjannel as a joke and some tweens actually cussed me out. they cant be mature about.

What is the Worst Disney Channel Show?

Ant farm and definitely shake it up. They both suck! They are all sucky actors and actresses. The girls on Shake It Up dance for about 20 seconds… so I have no clue why they call it shake it up and they shake their heads at each other more than anything else. Ant farm just sucks from the get go… Oh and that fish show… I want to take all those fish out of there tank!

What are the most romantic Disney songs?

I’ve always found Can You Feel the Love Tonight by Elton John one of the most romantic Disney songs ever. The piano and the lyrics are amazing and it’s just so dramatic! There’s also A Whole New World from Aladdin. It’s sweet and romantic, and it really evokes that feeling of being in a new relationship where everything’s new and exciting.Love Is an Open Door from Frozen is good, too. Ironically, it’s a duet between Anna and that bastard Hanz but anyway, it’s a pretty cute song about two similarly quirky people falling in love. Can I Have This Dance from High School Musical 3 is also really nice. The lyrics are also good and it’s really perfect for wedding dances, just two people in love talking about how they’ll always be there for each other and that they’ll continue “dancing” to their love song. From non-Disney animated films (just in case you’ll also consider them), there’s At the Beginning from Anastasia. It’s one of my most favorite songs because it talks about two people who have gone on a journey together. It’s less about the explosive feelings of love and more about having gone through tough times together and still wanting to journey through life together.Another is Looking Through Your Eyes from Quest for Camelot. It’s slow and melancholic and more about lovers who have found each other and have learned from each other, who make each other’s lives better. There are also sweet lines like, “And love just took me by surprise, looking through your eyes.”

Disney songs? Trios?!?

Ok, so there area lot of Choral Disney songs I have a few suggestions that could be broken up so that they fit a trio...even if some of them are solos:
She's in love, If only(quartet), and poor child from the Little Mermaid the Musical
In the Jungle - Lion King
Beauty and the Beast, Human Again, and Gaston from Beauty and the Beast(the musical)
Bippity Boppity Boo - Cinderella
Trashin the Camo, Two Worlds - Tarzan the Musical
Seize the Day - Newsies
We're all in this together - High School Musical
I don't Dance, What time is it - High School Musical 2
All in a Golden afternoon - Alice in Wonderland
Second Star To The Right - Peter Pan
I'll Try - Peter Pan, Return to Neverland
How does she know - Enchanted
I love to laugh, Chim Chim Cher-ee, Let's go Fly a Kite - Mary Poppins
Zero to Hero - Hercules
Just Around the River Bend - Pocahontas
Make a Man out of You, Reflection - Mulan

And there are SO many more great options...just choose your favorite Disney song and split it up into solos and groups...you'll do fine...GOD LUCK!!!
