Disney Infinity. How Do I Save My Game

What do you do with a Disney magic band after your family has come home?

The active RFID chip in the MagicBand should last up to 2 years.  A MagicBand could be used for another trip to Walt Disney World within that time and allow for full functionality.  The passive chip that is used for touchpoints in the park and for entry into your room doesn't require a battery, so it should function longer than the 2 years.  The battery is required for long-range readers to identify your band, such as linking your ride photos to your account.Away from Walt Disney World, I've only seen the MagicBands integrated with the Disney Infinity video game system.  Placing the MagicBand on the Infinity base can unlock things within the game.Other than that it just becomes a souvenir.

Disney Infinity base not recognized Xbox 360?

I bought Disney Infinity Starter Pack from Argos today. I inserted the USB cable that goes from the base into my xbox 360 and put the disc in. I put in my Disney details and after a short while it said that there was no base detected. I unplugged and plugged the USB back in, and on the base 2 blue LED lights flashed on the right circle and on the top shape, but not the left circle. Does that have anything to do with it? Do I need to have figures on when I plug in the base? Please help, thank you.

Will Disney own Nintendo?

No, why should they? Because they own brands like Marvel, ESPN, the Muppets, and Star Wars and studios like Pixar, Maker, and Lucasfilm?Disney does not buy companies that make consumer goods, like Nintendo. Otherwise, Disney would have bought toymaker Hasbro outright. And while Nintendo’s impressive IP library would be nice to have, Disney wouldn’t currently be able to do anything with them at the parks since Comcast has rights for the Universal Studios parks. I’m sure Disney thought about it, but at this rate, it’s not really worth it to go after something on a consumer level. If anything, I could see Apple buying Nintendo before Disney. Heck, Apple could buy Nintendo AND Disney and still have change in their war chest for another purchase.

How does the Marvel-Sony Spider-Man agreement work?

Ah, let's delve into the overly complicated history of Marvel's ownership of Spider-Man.I assume you're referring to the film rights of Spider-Man.Cue the ridiculous complications.Basically, back when Marvel wasn't popular and had no money, they sold the rights of many of their characters to various big budget studios.Spidey was sold to Sony Pictures Entertainment. This is why we didn't get him in any Marvel Studios films until Civil War.To put it simply, Sony realized they were idiots when it came to approaching how to execute Spider-Man properly.Money hungry idiots. They noticed that their recent Spidey movies were subpar, and not making the cash flow as well as they'd hoped.Being that he's the most recognizable superhero on the planet, they knew they had to come up with something to revive the franchise.Sony executives saw how well Marvel was doing. They noticed the scope of their audience. They realized how much money Marvel was making. But they were too proud to approach. At least, according to Amy Pascal, one of the money hungry idiots responsible for fucking up the Spidey franchise up until 2015.So, Kevin Feige, CEO of Marvel Studios, knowing Sony must be looking for a profitable way to save Spidey, offered a deal.Let Marvel Studios use Spider-Man in the big films, and allow Marvel to have creative control - Sony gets all the profit from the solo Spidey films and merch. Sony is only in control of advertising.Though it apparently took some convincing, Sony agreed.Marvel doesn't own the rights. But they have control over their most valuable property, which is the equivalent of gold to Marvel Studios.Sony basically gets cash for doing jack shit. All they do is fund solo films and advertise.Marvel is the mastermind behind the rebirth of Spider-Man.Sony gets to sit around and make tons of money for doing next to nothing, while Marvel gets to integrate Spider-Man into their films as much as they so desire.Who's the winner here?I'd say Sony is the rich loser. In hindsight, money is all they truly care about, so in their eyes, they're the winners of this deal. But in my eyes, Marvel truly won this deal. Sony's a pain in their ass, but in the end, they have Spider-Man.And to Marvel, Spider-Man means a lot more than just money.
