Disneyland Or Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood vs Disneyland?

I would advise you to get a Disneyland/California Park
Hopper. One day Disneyland ticket is $69 & the park
hopper is $94 (only $25.00 more).

Disneyland is classic and you will love the Haunted
Mansion, Pirates of t he Caribbean & Space Mountain
for sure. There are many great rides in this park.

California Adventure has the thrill rides: Soar'N,
California Screaming, The Maliboomer, Mickey's
Fun Wheel, Toy Story Midway Mania and more.

There are also some amazing shows (especially
Fantasmic), attractions (Mickey's Philharmagic),
great food, Downtown Disney and so much more.
You will not be disappointed!

Universal is a good park and has a few good rides
too. The Mummy's Revenge & The Simpsons ride
are very good.

Universal studios hollywood or Disneyland?

Disneyland hands down. A lot more rides. There are not only a lot more rides, there better. the only really really good ride there is Revenge of the Mummy, and Jurrasic PArk. Disneyland has much better rides such as Indiana Jones, Soace Mountain, Matterhorn, Star Tours, Autopia, and much more. So my answer, is Disneland.

Which is better: Disneyland or Universal Studios?

A comment to clarify something that Simha RM stated.  When he said, "Disneyland is very, very crowded," please note that this is not true of every day of the year. If you visit Disneyland during the week, especially in the Fall and Winter, the park is not crowded at all and wait times for the biggest attractions will often be less than 10 minutes. The same can be said of Universal, which just last week had to close its gates early because it hit maximum capacity. Both places are enjoyable even with moderate crowds, but both have the tendency to pack visitors in shoulder-to-shoulder in the summer and holidays. If you plan to visit either park between mid-June and September, don't. Just. Don't.Universal used to be the more teen and adult friendly park, but that distinction has blurred with the addition of more thrill rides at Disneyland and California Adventure (remember, it's actually two parks.) I give a slight edge to Disneyland simply because it has more attractions in general, and more actual rides (as opposed to simulators or shows.) I'm also interested in stagecraft, production design, architecture and landscaping, and Disneyland beats the pants off of Universal - and everyone else - when it comes to immersive theming and art direction. So consider this: both parks offer attractions based on films and stories you've enjoyed elsewhere. If you prefer "Transformers," "The Simpsons," and "Jurassic World," then you'll definitely dig Universal.  If you are a fan of Disney / Pixar films, however, Disneyland will be like a second home.

Backless Shoes to Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood?

Note: They are allowed, but I would NOT recommend them. For my 450th visit this last weekend, I was there 14 hours and was SO glad I wore my New Balance 906's. My feet didn't bother me at all (but I was a bit sore overall... I'm not a youngster any more). I actually saw a couple of girls in a shop, complaining that their feet hurt. They were thinking of buying "better" flip flops. I almost wanted to shout "DUH" in their faces, but refrained. Some things are better learned the hard way.

My advice: Wear some GOOD walking/cross trainer shoes.

The only ride where it's an issue is on the Silly Symphony Swings, the flying chair ride where your feet dangle. If you lose your shoe there, it goes flying into Paradise Cove.

What's better: Disneyland or Universal Studios Hollywood?

My family and I are going on a vacation this summer to many southern California areas. We would like to visit an amusement park and since Disneyland and Universal Studios are in that area we were debating between those two. I've been to Disneyland a few times and love it there but have never been to Universal Studios and I was just wondering which people thought was more fun. Thanks!
