Disqualified From Air Force For Migraines

Disqualified from Air Force due to migraine headaches?

Hello, I'm a twenty year old female who was disqualified from the Air Force last year due to migraine problems. My father made the mistake of mentioning it during our discussion with the recruiter. A year after, I've attempted on trying again this time with the doctor's consent that I've been migraine-free for about a year -- but from the looks of things, it won't be likely that I'll be getting that waiver.

Right now, the Military is really my only answer, as there's nothing here for me. My question would be: Is there any chance that the other Military branches would accept me? Preferably the Navy? Thank you in advanced.

Disqualified from Air Force for migraines?

YOU are the one who marked "migraines" on the medical questionnaire. You were disqualified for doing so.

However, give it a try. You probably won't get anywhere. Your time would be better spent looking into something else.

Air Force discharge for migraines?

I developed seriously severe migraines since a shoulder injury in basic training. They are so severe that they often cause vomiting and extreme sensitivity to light and noise and scents. I lose concentration and therefore productivity because of these pains. I have a doctors appt next week and want to atleast get meds for it. Is there a chance that they will discharge me over this?

Is Runners knee disqualifying from the Air force?

I'm 17 and just found out I have runners knee. All it is is pain. Is this disqualifying even if I get it fixed (physical therapy) ? Once it's gone you won't even be able to tell it was there in the first place. Should I just keep my mouth shut? Should I do physical therapy, fix it and not tell MEPS?

Do Migraines disqualify you from joining the Air Guard?

I am going through the process of joining the Air Guard, but I am scared they will reject me due to me having occipital neuralgia (In a nutshell its migraines that start in the back of the head caused by hay-wire occipital nerves). I get 3 steriod injections in the back of my head approx. every 6 months .... Will they reject me? My joints are good and I dont have asthma and I really want to join up. Any thoughts or ideas? I am in good health I'm not sick often at all. Since I've started receiving these shots it's been like a miracle, I almost never have pain.
Thank you!

Do migraines disqualify you from joining the military?

My sister joined the USAF last year and I have gained a huge intrest in fallowing in her footsteps but i know that there are strict requirements and almost no tolerency for health problems but i was curious if my migraines would disqualify me? I am 15 but they are growing more and more apart. When i was in 7th grade they were frequent with 3 a month or more but now they are patchy with no more then 2 a year. I'm hoping by the time i graduate high school they just fade out but would these keep me from joining the military (specifically the Air Force)

Thanks in advance!

If you suffer from migraines, can you join the Air Force?

on your DD form 2807 (health history questionaire) you will be asked:
Do you now, or have you ever suffered from severe headaches that cause you to miss work or school, or do you now or have you ever had to take medication to prevent severe headaches. If you answer yes, you will be disqualified.

Is a migraine a disqualifying factor for all careers in the military or just combat positions? Could I work in the health and medicine capacity with disqualifying medical conditions? Would I need to talk to a recruiter?
