What?? I watch cartoons because my kids do! If that's what they want to do, I join them. Usually we play board games, ball games, or have a pile on or pillow fight. And they do their homework first.
Do adults watch One Piece?
Despite the ‘cartoonish’ drawings, One Piece brought up sensitive issues such as:wars in the middle east (Alabasta arc),massacre of indigenous americans (Skypiea arc),slavery/classism and racism (Sabaody arc, Fishman island arc, Dressrosa arc),Nazism is heavily implied in the current Wholecake Island arc.The manga is nearly 20 years old, so obviously the 1st generation of One Piece fans are adults (20s to 30s). the 2nd generation fans are teens. One piece has changed so much in the 20 years span, it started with a lighter tone, it was all fun and games and sunshine but now it has matured and the arcs get darker and much more serious.I need to note that anime is different than western cartoon, it isn’t made solely for kids. Each anime has different genres and themes that caters to different age groups so we can’t generalize all of them.I’ll be 27 in a few months, i started reading One Piece when i was 12.I’m an adult and i love One Piece. :)

I'm an adult and I watch cartoons. I even own some DVDs of Justice League and other superheroes. It's okay to the extent that you don't watch them every free moment or even every day. It's like everything else. Take it in moderation.

Being the unconventional person I am, I love things that are beyond the norm.Anime is also targeted towards young adults (and adults). So why not?Anime is an entertainment medium. I don’t remember “age” ever being a part of the equation. It’s for all ages.There are anime that make “realistic” films look childish in comparison. Because visuals don’t determine who should watch what. Or how “mature” it is.I like what I like, as do many anime (and non anime) fans. Avoiding something you like because others have a problem with it is stupid.Life is too long to not do the things you enjoy, regardless of age (and that includes anime).It’s nobody’s business but yours if you choose to watch anime, whether you’re an adult, a kid, or anything in between.That about sums it up… I don’t see anything wrong with it.If you like it then what’s the harm?Thanks Davidson Julot

Hahah no, im 16 but i still watch it its a great cartoon. My dad usually watches it with me it doesn't matter what age you are. Your mom and her friend were probably just having a good break from the usual adult crap thats on tv these days (sorry i dont mean all just some), so yeah dont worry about it :) in a way its good for them
