Where can I download a DS emulator that's free of viruses?
I just want to play this one ds game and I heard that a really good emulator is called Desmume but I don't really know if downloading the emulator from desmume.org is safe or if it would even work on my computer. I also saw that the no$gba emulator is popular but isn't really good. I really don't know where to download the emulator that's free of viruses. I saw that coolrom.com is infected because of McAfee siteadvisor and I'm not so sure about emulator-zone.com. I just don't want to spend $50 - $60 or drive over 100 miles away to get my one DS game so please help me.

Does coolrom or emulator zone have any viruses on the site?
Both are completely clean. Should also note that as those are mostly .isos, roms and images, they cannot execute viruses by themselves. You'd need to accidentally download a fake or modified .exe file (a setup or installer for example) that contains said viruses, which even the weakest anti-virus program will detect. edit: Its not the emulators that are the issue. Emulators are easy to get everywhere. Those "official sources" sites have emulators on them obviously, but DON'T HOST GAMES for copyright reasons.

There claims to be one at xbx360.comIf it works (could be virus, I have real hardware, won't risk testing it) the way described, then you need an ISO file, which you would make from your original disk. You load ISO. Probably needs very high end PC.If you don't own 360 and 360 games, this is not legal to use unless you buy the games. Emulator: A software program designed to "emulate" or mimic, a certain device (such as a PS2, GBA, etc) ROM: A file format used for games (ex: a Pokemon Blue Version ROM is the file format of the Pokemon Blue Version game) Roms are used in tandem with emulators. Think of it like: Emulators are the system, ROMS are the games. Emulators are legal. Downloading ROMS is technically illegal (you can legally rip copies off your own physical games, you're not supposed to download ROMS online. But people still do). They are used on PC.
