-minorities were treated as subhuman and segregation existed -women had to be a wife/mother only, were not allowed to receive an education or even wear pants for that matter! - no treatments for many diseases such as polio -child abuse and pedophilia ignored as if they don't exist -lack of technology that helps make our world run better today. why do conservatives idealize the 1950s so much? Then again we know why, They liked this stuff. They want abuse shoved under the rug, women in the kitchen, and people of color not being treated equally
