For the most part, yes you can. You will need all the accessories etc. that came with the TV, and for high-dollar items the serial number should be on the receipt, which customer service will compare to what’s on the device, the receipt, and on the computer. Obviously it must be returned by the grace period (as Ms. Edelen stated, 15 days for electronics is the current timeframe) though it used to be 90 days. In the past I used to buy an item for full price then return it after 89 days, and given the nature of electronics I would simply buy the same item for cheaper, or usually even a superior item for the same or lower price. Once I bought a 2x CD burner, and traded up on it every 89 days until I not only had extra money in my pocket but also a 16x CD burner. Obviously this didn’t last long as no doubt many other people were doing the same thing (though I’m sure its a safe bet you can still do the same “scam” every 14 days, since electronics are becoming cheaper and more powerful faster than ever.) I don’t really consider this a “scam” because no crimes were committed. An ethical lapse, sure, but in accordance with store policy and no outright theft was committed, just simply using the system against the store. Sort of like counting cards at a blackjack table.
