Do Cowboys Have A Chance To Go To Playoffs

Now that both the cowboys & 49ers have new coaches any chance for a renewed rivalry?

The only way rivalries with teams outside the same division can survive is if they are both always in the playoffs and often meet in the playoffs, the way the boys and niners did in the early to mid nineties, and the way that the colts and patriots have done this past decade.

The last time both Dallas and San Francisco were in the playoffs at the same time was the 1998 season, and the last time they played each other in the playoffs was the 1994 NFC Title game.

Given that both Dallas and San Francisco have a fair amount of rebuilding to do to get to the point where they are always in the playoffs, much less frequently meeting there, i don't think we'll see it as a renewed rivalry anytime soon.

That said, the teams do play each other in San Francisco in the 2011 regular season, so at least we'll get to see them compete, even if it's not a rivalry like it used to be.

Will the Dallas Cowboys make it to the playoffs this year?

Football Outsiders gives them a 17.1% chance, and somebody else said fivethirtyeight has them at 26%.What's interesting about the Football Outsiders number is they break it down further: a 14.6% chance of winning the division, a 0.1% chance of winning the division and getting a bye, and a 2.5% chance of getting a wild card. In other words, they have a better chance of winning the division than they do of beating Carolina, the NFC North teams, and Seattle for a wild card spot. You don't see that often, and indeed, for the teams in six of the other seven divisions, the teams in second through fourth have a better chance of a wild card than winning the division. The AFC South is in a similar situation to the NFC East - the Colts and Titans have a better chance of winning the division than a wild card.Looking at their schedule, a finish of 9-7 is doable, and 10-6 is possible though perhaps a tad ambitious. They will be significant underdogs to the Saints in week 13. The game against Washington on Thanksgiving is a must-win. The rest of the schedule isn't that tough, however. The last three games are against teams that will be competing for first overall pick... okay, second overall pick. Atlanta is their next opponent, Philly is in there somewhere, again that's a must-win.The addition of Amari Cooper looks like it has been really positive. I don't know, I think the 538 guys have it about right.

Is there a chance for RPS to enter the playoffs this year?

Thanks for A2A.I might have been late in answering this one. But the upside would be that I can now answer with a hundred percent surety. The Rising Pune Supergiants cannot make it to the playoffs now.Though the team and even the staff was more or less the same as that of the Chennai Super Kings, putting the unit together in a new jersey was always going to be a difficult task for MS Dhoni.A team has three ways of winning a match - batting, bowling and fielding. If you outdo your opponent in any two of these, you’ve done well to defeat them. Now if you look at RPS, all three departments were average and it really missed a spike in any particular department to win a match. The bowling figures were dismal, the batting strike rates for someone like MSD below a hundred for a lot of times. There were match-winners in them, but unfortunately failed to stand up for the team when required. The most important of all is the momentum. They didn't really have one to continue. When you win matches, it is necessary to take the momentum to the next game. When you lose, you need to forget the last one and focus on the next. They somehow failed at both at looked a very disrupted side. And at the same time, the other teams fared better than them at the matches. It was going to be difficult for them to make it to the playoffs this time. This would have been my answer even after say first six/ seven of their matches. Just that I am now sure of the outcome since they are already out.

Miami Dolphins playoffs????????????????

the dolphins are on a role moving up to 500 at 4-4. they defeated teams like the patriots and the broncos on the road. i think they will finish as a playoff team based on the schedule they have. tell me if you agree with this happening.

Can the packers still make the playoffs?

The Packers will make the playoffs this year. Although based on how they look right now, I am inclined to believe they will be a wildcard team in the NFC.For Green Bay to be a dangerous team, Rodgers must remain healthy, the Packers need to establish a better run game, and the team's defense needs to step up.I just watched Green Bay play against Washingon on the road. At times, the Packers offense looked good but their defense looked bad. At other times, their defense held the Redskins, but their offense could not capitalize on several opportunities. Green Bay needs to remain consistent if they hope to get anywhere this season! I believe they will improve as the season continues, but they do not have the easiest schedule this year; it should be interesting to see what happens.

I predict that Dallas Cowboys will be going to the superbowl in 2019, Convince me otherwise?

I’ll assume you’re talking about the Super Bowl in the year 2019 and not the 2019 season. So, here’s the main one…they haven’t clinched the playoffs yet…sure they’re the overwhelming favorites at this point but the Cowboys haven’t locked up the division and teams with similar leads have blown their chances at the playoffs.Assuming the Cowboys do make the playoffs they’re slated to play the Seahawks. Beating Russell Wilson and that defense will not be an easy task…and then if they do that they will face either the Saints or Rams. Beating the Saints twice in one year is a lot to ask…especially on the road. And the Rams are loaded and have the edge in QB and RB on the Cowboys.Teams have gone on runs before…but I think the Cowboys offense is too limited to go on the road and beat these high scoring teams.

If you were the Dallas Cowboys coach would you given T. Romo an opportunity to play in the Cowboys-Packers playoff game given his playoff experience?

No because the Cowboys really had no reason to. The offense was not really an issue for them. Heck, Dak lead them on a drive which would have been a game tying drive against atleast 28 of the teams in the league. Also by not bringing Tony back when he was fully recovered, the Cowboys clearly gave an indication that Dak is going to be the future QB in Dallas. Puting Romo in would have done nothing but shake his confidence and lead to even more distracting talk for the Cowboys.Even if Dak was not performing well, I probably still wouldn’t put Romo in. If as an organisation you have made up your mind as to who is your guy for the immediate as well as the long term future, I'd try to give him as many playoff reps as possible. The Cowboys are not working on a closing title window which makes them a desperate team. They have a really young offensive core in Dak, Zeke and Dez. This team is being built to compete for the next few years and not for a one shot title run like Manning’s Broncos. As much as I respect Tony Romo for what he's done for the Cowboys, they now need to unequivocally stick with Dak and introducing Romo in a game as such would only amount to unnecessarily rocking the boat.

Why do Dallas haters act as though the cowboys are the worst team in the league?

As A Long Time Cowboys fan: Jealousy. It's what stirs them up and pushes their buttons. Dallas Cowboys franchise is one of the Winning-est in comparable 50 year existence. Most Super Bowl appearances, 20 Division Championships, Most Consecutive Winning Seasons.

It's a crock that fans of other teams get so offended by Cowboys fans when their trash talk and banter about the Cowboys Recent History (Since 96) is just as offensive. the Cowboys are NFC East Champions, and among the most competitive teams in the league. To the Eagles Fan out there, Just Keep your trash Talk to yourself, your team just got SHUT OUT!!

How many wins does Dallas cowboys have at Lambo field?
