Trump is going to resign ...soon ....because he can't be a full time President and a full-time protector of his family fortune , Trump owes hundreds of millions of dollars in back taxes and the City ,State and Federal tax collection agencies WILL get the money that is due them, Kavanaugh won't be confirmed

Even though it does require Senate approval of impeachment, a Democratic house can carry out deep investigations which could shine a light of criminality upon them that even a GOP Senator cannot excuse. For instance, say the new House Committee is able to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that Trump engaged in many counts of money laundering and evaded taxes. Would the GOP Senate then refuse to convict even a criminal because he is in their party? Would their constituents go along with the idea that money laundering and tax evasion is OK if it is done by a GOP President?

The are very different indeed so I don't see where you are assuming that they are "truly alike." Maybe in some of their actions but their morals, values, principles, and ideology is completely different. I find it more annoying that they cannot work together to solve a problem, mainly due to democrats being ignorant. I find the fact that they refuse to do anything good in Washington because there is a republican president and therefore do not want him to receive the credit for their accomplishments. In turn, republicans are not sticking to their conservative fiscal values and therefore they are weaning more moderate. I think the biggest problem is that in Washington they continue to point fingers instead of working to find solutions for things. They are doing what the common citizens should be doing. It's ok for us to point fingers and blame who needs to be blamed, but Washington republicans and democrats need to be solving the problem because that's what we are paying them to do, not do what we are already doing. Also, independents are exactly the same, they keep whining about how their voice is never heard and everyone should be voting 3rd party as if we don't support the nominee whose party we are registered to vote with. I think both democrats and republicans are sick of hearing about libertarians and independents because they support certain things on both sides that do not align with democrats or republicans. We find them to be confused politicians.

the left and the right have very different views [beliefs, really] of what is required to build a successful future. At bottom, that's what they argue about all the time -- the shape of the future. At an even deeper level, the reason they argue so is because their members have very different psychologies, needs, and decision making systems. These appear to be inbuilt into the human psyche and they aren't going to change easily -- so the most likely outcome is lots of arguing, bickering, and indecision -- until some calamity occurs to set one or the other of the views firmly back as the road to failure. Now, I happen to think that 500 years of successful innovation and economic growth by [mostly] western civilization is the evidence that most of it should be retained and that a lot of the 'changes' being asked for by the left are nonsense; but, hey, it appears that the left is strong enough that they aren't going to accept any reasoned argument and will change their view only after their policies cause a collapse. Bring it on.
Do CONS realize "big Government" is really run by "Big Business"?
Don't you realize that if Big Business really ran the government, then by now the minimum wage law would have been repealed and replaced with a minimum productivity law; that the Sherman Anti-trust Act would have been repealed; that OSHA and the EPA would have been abolished? You don't have to divide the world of politics into black-or-white, that everyone is either pro-labor or else they're pro-busines. You don't have to pretend that if you don't get *everything* you want, then it must be because your enemies get everything they want. Why won't you please accept the realization that there is so much moderation in our political system that neither side ever gets everything they want?

The united states want another puppet executive in Egypt but the Egyptians need one who works for them alternatively than foreigners. The indications are that they will join Iran so will likely be backed by Russia. Huge difference. Most Democrats in the House, and the Congress as a whole, voted against Bush's Neocon War in Iraq. Neocons also like massive tax cuts for the rich without paying for it - something you forgot to mention. You "forgot" to mention it because Democrats typically are not for that irresponsible fiscal policy. Neocons are essentially conservatives that also like big spending, big government, combined with large tax cuts and perpetual war.
