Flea bites or bed bugs?
Fleas usually bite and spring away from humans because our skin is naked. Bedbugs are usually come at nights and take their sweet time. Why do some people get flea bites and others don't?
Humans are not high on the flea’s list of tasty meals, so they only bite those that smell the most nutritious to them.
Why do fleas bite some people but not others?
The fleas that bite dogs and the fleas that bite humans are the same which is why the Black Death ravaged Europe in the middle ages. It was transmitted through fleas. Anyway 2 things could be happening, the first is that you might be one of the rare humans who do not react to flea bites. You may not be allergic to their numbing chemical. The other is that you might not "taste" good. Like if you eat a ton of garlic fleas won't bite. The same goes for dogs who eat tons of garlic, they rarely get fleas.
Do fleas bite people?
I have 3 dogs (they are outside dogs MOST of the time.. they do come in every day though) and 2 STRICTLY indoor cats. I am in Georgia and for some reason the fleas are VERY bad this year thus far. I have tried sprays/drops/yard stuff/carpet stuff/flea bombs and fumigators/ and i still am seeing fleas!!!! My question is.. If the fleas are bad enough, can they bite people? I just took a shower but before I went in, I noticed like 5 red bites that itch immensely on the back of my left leg right before my ankle. I also have one on my elbow! Are these indeed flea bites? I JUST noticed them like half n hour ago. They are VERY itchy. I was outside barefoot and in shorts earlier this afternoon.. I took out the trash and raked out the dog kennel ( I know I should have put shoes on, but I was in a hurry).. I also do live out in the woods. SO, are they flea bites? ant bites? something else? I am kinda scared. I was leaning towards flea bites because even my cats have fleas and they are strictly indoor cats. My dogs come in every day (they are all inside right now actually).. but I do bathe them and put their drops on. any advice? are flea bites on people really bad? can they make you sick? thanks!

Why don't Fleas bite me?
Both me and my mom don't get bitten by fleas. Currently our dog is having problems with fleas and my dad is basically being eatten alive. My dog sleeps with me on my bed and still no bites. I even had one of the fleas jump on me and before I could even move to kill it, the little nuisance jumped back off. I'm not saying I want them to bite me, but could I be doing something to keep them away. If so what?
What does a flea bite feel like?
It’s like with mosquito bites, depends very much on the person. I often treated private homes against fleas when still working in Pest Control. Often I entered a home and saw the typical small bright red spots of flea bites on different persons of the family. As with mosquitoes some were bitten a lot more than others but more the answer to your question: some would say it hardly bothered them, just a little itch, while other members of the same family said they couldn’t stand the itching and even others had allergic reactions to them.So my conclusion was it is very individual. Some hardly feel them, some lay awake all night, scratching their skin open till it bleeds.
