Why don't women wear stockings anymore?
I work in Downtown San Francisco, and more often than not I wear a dress or skirt to work. When I do, I always wear some kind of hose, be it pantyhose, thigh highs, knee highs, depending on what I have on. But I don't flash my blinding bare white legs. So what happened that led to the current fashion trend of bare legs? Up to the age of about 25, a lot of girls have nice legs. At 37, I think my legs still look pretty good, no varicose veins or anything. But they are very white, and look much nicer in beige, or any color, hose. The older we get, the less attractive our legs become. We all strive to look good, yet we go around in designer clothes and bare legs. I don't get it. Do you wear stockings? Do you think women look better when they wear stockings?

Horse Jockeys and motorcycle cops wear them to prevent saddle sores. NFL football players have been known to wear them for various reasons but mostly for warmth and the support they provide. Scuba divers often wear them as it makes getting the wetsuit on and off much easier and can form a layer of protection against jellyfish stings. There is nothing wrong with wearing them under your clothes if you desire. There are even lines of pantyhose now being made just for men. the only time i slept with my pantyhose were after a party and busy to take off all the outfit so i just take off shoes dress and fall sleep and i think sometimes it was cold and i don't wanna put the heater but they were kind of wool pantyhose if you like pantyhose that much you should buy mens pantyhose or mantyhose they have the pantypart designed for mens crotch so you can be more comfy i don't think woman pantyhose are comfortble for mens
Does dressing in a certain way make you feel inferior and weaker?
I don't think of it as a conspiracy at all....but I don't like to wear dresses because I do get looked at (checked out...esp. my legs)..and it makes me feel uncomfortable. Last time I wore a skirt, a guy sitting next to me in one of my classes stared at my legs (I was wearing black stockings and heels) the entire class period. Made me feel like a side show attraction. I don't think he heard one word the teacher said during that three hour long class....lol! I don't see it as his fault, however...I mean, stockings and heels are sexualized in society, are they not? Can't really blame a guy for looking. I don't even think he realized he was doing it. I don't think he meant any harm...but as a matter of personal preference, I'd rather wear pants.
Help I have to wear pantyhose to settle what my big mouth started. Please help.?
I have been looking for suggestions on what to wear and for how long to settle something with some feminist friends of mine. This is how it goes I have some friends that are required to wear hosier at there job, and they were bitching about pantyhose as a torture device created by men. I said it can't be that bad, probably no worse than wearing a tie and keeping my face shaved. They said that I should try wearing pantyhose before I say there not so bad, and well I agree. Its only clothing so I will do it, to give them a fair shake, I will even keep my legs shaved (I don't mind shaved legs anyway) So what I need to know to settle the debt, is what brands/styles to buy? How long I should wear them to have a good feel for how much of a pain they are? Any tips for wearing or shaving? Lastly do you find pantyhose a pain, do you hate the garmet as much as my feminist friends? I am looking for a lot of help with this experiment please leave a response ladies :)
