Do I Have A Good Chance Getting Hired At Target

What are the chances of getting hired at target?

So i got a call last Thursday from Target regarding an interview the lady that called me was super nice and said if i would be able to meet her this Thursday the 10th. Of course i was interested i want a job bad. While i was on the phone with the lady she asked me some questions and ask about my availability and was ask me other question as why target it seemed like an interview sadly it wasn't, but I do have references and i also have 3 years of experience in costumer service, but what are the chances of me actually getting hired?
Do any of you know what they might ask? I applied for Starbucks target part time cashier! Thank you in advance.

What are my chances of getting hired at Target?

Regardless of work experience one of the first things you should learn doing a job search is never put all your eggs in one basket since your avatar didn't look much like the easter bunny.

Rather than waiting 7-10 days to hear from Target you should be hitting the streets applying at other similar retail stores. Hopefully you will be able to choose between the different offers you receive to get the schedule and money you need.

What are my chances of getting hired by Target?

i got hired at target at 17 and i work with a few 16 year olds, so you probably have a good chance. i believe 16 year olds can work cashier, carts, and food avenue. i'm not too sure about stocking because they work late hours and target makes minors leave early (at least mine does). you have a good chance as long as your not an idiot.

Chances of getting hired in CVS?

I just got an interview today and the manager just asked me if I'm available and I told him that I'm a seasonal in target but not sure if I'll get the job. He then asked if I was hired, what is my availability I then told him that my job at target is from 7pm - 12am.

He didn't ask me any of my strength and weaknesses. He did however asked me why I wanted to work in CVS? I said "It's a good company and I would like to be a part of it" then he asked me about the pay grade I said "I don't bother"

And that was the end of the interview, it only took 3 min which is weird. He just followed up that if I do get hired they'll send me an email.

What are the chances of my me getting hired? The past two jobs I've had, I was hired on the spot... So I'm not feeling too good about it.

Any experience please help, best answer gets the points!

Getting hired at a target for starbucks postion?

A couple of days ago i applied online for the starbucks position at a target, they called and set up an interview, i get there and do another application at the kiosk like they tell me.I have the first interview, i tell them that have worked in a starbucks at a movie theater, how i was training to be an assistant manager. Things are going pretty well so far i believe, the first interviewer is pretty personable which is a good thing. Then i have my second interview which goes well also. She then tell me they'll call me within about seven days or so. Is this normal? Im probably more qualified for the position then most other applicants but i thought they would've offered me the job right then and there. Can i expect a call from them?

What are my chances of getting into McKinsey? What should I do to increase my chances?

Without knowing more, I'd say your chances aren't great right now. You're at a bit of an in-between point in terms of your experience, but you'll most likely be applying for a BA position, as opposed to an Associate (post-MBA) position. While that will lower expectations for you somewhat, it's still a long shot. From my experience, about 1% of people that apply to McKinsey from target schools are extended an offer. My first question is whether or not your school is a target. Given that it's ~#25 in Industrial Engineering, I'm guessing it's not. Getting a job at McKinsey from a non-target school isn't impossible, but it's a lot harder. The biggest thing, though, is that nothing from your previous experience really jumps out at me. Roles at F500 companies are good, but that's really a baseline for looking at your resume, not a reason to pass it through. The MS degree, unfortunately, will count for next to nothing. Some examples of the types of things that would jump out:Perfect scores on SAT, GRE, etc.Starting a companyStarting/leading on-campus organizationsStarting/leading non-profit organizationsA prestigious scholarship (e.g., Fulbright)At this point, I'd worry less about the skills and more about the experience. Skills may get you through an interview, but they won't get you an interview in the first place. Tactically, if I were you and I was set on getting a job at McKinsey, I'd take a 2-3 year mindset to it. I would get involved in leadership opportunities right away (see above) and really stretch myself. If I hadn't already, I would focus on studying up for a standardized test to get a really good score on it.

If they are hiring, how long will it take Target to get back to me?

The last thing you want to do is to be shy about following up on your application. Now is the time to be aggressive in following up and if you want to give them a call tomorrow, you should do it. The Target that you're applying to in your area probably gets tons of applications every week and if you
don't do something to make yours stand out you're not going to have as good a chance to get hired as a person who does do this.

By the way, as with most retail stores, it always depends on certain factors uncontrollable by us when you talk about how long does it take for them to get back to you. They can call you tomorrow, the next week, or a month from now. They might never call you. It all depends on their criteria, who is currently handling the applications, and many other things.

Will majoring in philosophy from a target school hinder my chances of getting a job at a top investment bank?

Top investment banks recruit outstanding students at elite colleges who major in finance, economics or other business oriented disciplines, math, physics, and other demanding quantitative disciplines.  Liberal arts majors are at a disadvantage as a general rule.  Philosophy is generally considered a bit more rigorous, perhaps because of the logic component, than other liberal arts disciplines so it would likely be viewed more favorably than, for example, sociology.  Nonetheless, if you isolated the single variable - philosophy - compared to the single variable - finance (or one of the majors referenced above), it would in fact hinder your chances.Could you get around that disadvantage? Of course.  Most importantly, you would have to attend an elite school.  Second, if you minored in one of the disciplines above, it would go far in showing your seriousness for investment banking. Third, if you have a high GPA, it would serve you well.  Fourth, if you interned at a business or financial institution, that too, would help.  And, obviously, if you have connections or otherwise can network your way into interview, you might impress them with your brilliant philosophical answers!

How much should I target to score in CA-IPCC to get articleship in any of Big 4 firms?

Getting in BIG 4's doesn't have much to do with high marks, but you need to make sure that you clear your IPCE in first attempt to even have a marginal chance. That's the most important criteria. As from  my own experience, first attemptees get a lot of leverage in BIG 4s. Many of my friends who got training in BIG 4 mentioned it. Also, BIG4's prefer graduate students over under grads. After that happens, You need to be well prepared for your Interview part also. Make an impression in the PI & Technical rounds. Also, sometimes what happens is that BIG4 hires in bulk, during those times you have a much better chance of getting in even if you do not perform well in the above criterias. But if they are over staffed, it gets very very tough to get in. And the last thing you can depend upon is havin someone's reference. But that someone needs to be a higher official & not just a trainee.Hope you do get in BIG4.P.S.- If this is your first shot at IPCE then you should try your level best to clear it in first attempt as i am damn sure about that first attempt pass outs factor. Also, getting in EY is marginally easier than the rest of the 3 so you might wanna focus on EY a bit more. Good luck.
