Do I Have Add Does That Exist

Does there exist an mp3 player that I can add to my existing car stereo?

all mp3 players have 3.5mm female audio jacks. all portable mp3 players have built in batteries. all portable mp3 players come with a way to charge them, mostly if not all wall chargers. just about all can be charged through either usb/mini usb/proprietary charging cable that can be connected to usb power sources.

if you really want to get into a huge project here's how you can make what you want to happen, happen.

take your 'ipod' (or other mp3 player) and identify what it's internal battery output is. open the unit and remove the battery, whatever the battery voltatge output is, get a dc-dc regulator specificed for your car's 12v system and your mp3 players required input voltage. connect the input of the regulator to the switched power via your car ignition, then the other side connected to the power in put of your mp3 player. connect the player to the stereo via audio cable.

it would just be easier to get a charging setup for your mp3 player that connects to the vehicle's 12v cigarett lighter / power port and pull the cable out when you park and set the mp3 player to automatically turn off after so much time.

another issue you will likely face is when you have your mp3 player connected to the stereo and vehicle power source is that you will probably hear some white noise or hissing sound through your speakers. that is there because there is a difference in potential of both stereo ground and mp3 ground. you will need to install a ground loop noise isolator between the mp3 player and the stereo on the audio lines. - I had an issue with this problem with my 08 prius and built my own noise filtering circuit with a coupele of audio transformers and some caps.

if your vehicle still has the factory stereo installed and depending on what you're driving, some vehicles do have kits that can integrate ipods to the stereo. the touch screen on my prius integrates the controls of my stereo, A/C, navigation (option not purchased with my vehicle), and vehicle power info. there is a kit i've found online that will basically integrate the controls of the classic ipod into the touch screen so music selection can be accessed through the touch screen without having to pick up the ipod. i know that this company that makes these kits for other toyotas.

Does ADHD even exist?

I don't know the official rules for something being a disease vs. disorder vs. whatever but ADHD really is a classification of a set of humans who have common behaviors.

One could easily ask is the obvious "Type A" personality a disease, or a disorder or just a collection of pushy people.

I like the theory in the "hunters and farmers" that basically says in the dawn of the civilization, we needed hunter humans (ADHD traits are a plus for this job role) and farmer humans (non-ADHD). Well the world went the non-ADHD world and us hunters don't fit in so well but our genetics and brain chemistry is still out there.

How to add limits when one does not exist?

The value of the function AT the x coordinate where you're evaluating the limit is irrelevant. In other words, Lim x → 2 of g(x) could exist, even though g(2) doesn't. Now that you know this, you should look at g(x) again and decide whether or not the limit exists (recall that the left and right limits have to be equal.) If the limit exists, then:

Lim x → 2 of [f(x) + g(x)] = [Lim x → 2 of f(x)] + [Lim x → 2 of g(x)]

If the limit doesn't exist, then the above limit law doesn't hold and you can't say anything about the sum (the sum limit may or may not exist.) As an example, take f(x) = 1/x and g(x) = -1/x. Certainly Lim x → 0 [f(x)] and Lim x → 0 [g(x)] don't exist, but Lim → 0 [f(x) + g(x)] = 0.

Done!

Does ADD/ADHD exist?

ADHD is one of those disorders that people seem to be very confused about. The major problem is that people mainly think of it as a ‘learning disorder’. This is unfortunate because the inability to focus on studies is only one of the aspects of ADHD.There has been some debate in recent years by some of the pioneers in the field if a name change for the disorder is necessary to clear up misconceptions about it.I was diagnosed with it a few years back, and that’s when I looked into the disorder and its manifestation in people’s behavior.I can tell you that this disorder is definitely one of the over-diagnosed ones. However, that does not mean the condition itself is not a real one. It is very real to many people, myself included. In my opinion, the best way to see if someone fits the criteria for ADHD is to see their long term behavior, and not just look at their attention issues. For example, people with ADHD have a tendency to go through obsessive phases with one thing after the other, often starting many things with a great many plans and apparent passion, but leaving almost all of them incomplete or unfinished. They will be impulsive, and in spite of being logically aware of all the consequences of their actions, they will just kind of do things as they feel it inside in the moment. Those suffering from ADHD will have issues with social propriety. They will end up saying the wrong things in social situations or sometimes saying a bit too much. This is because ADHD affects empathy and the part of our mind that judges what is appropriate and what is not in a given situation behaviorally. This might manifest as just opening up and sharing too much to someone in an unwarranted way or saying inappropriate jokes in situations that demand empathy etc. There are many complex aspects of ADHD, but I would personally look at long time behavior of a person in these terms to judge if they might have this condition, than just look at their ability to focus on things in the moment. In conclusion, yes, ADHD is over diagnosed and yes, it is a very real condition. No, it is not just a learning disorder, and it is best to look at long time behavior of people to potentially diagnose it.

Does ADHD/ADD exist in other countries besides the USA?

Yes it does. In some countries it is viewed differently. In North America (Canada and US) Medical Professionals see ADHD as a biological-neurological Disorder.Their Medical professionals (MDs and Psychiatrists) follow The DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders also known as the DSM 5 or DSM IV) to diagnose ADHD.Treatment approach is mostly (not always) with medication and often various therapies are recommended. In France ADHD is seen as a medical condition that has psycho-social and situational causes.Their medical professionals follow the CFTMEA (Classification Française des Troubles Mentaux de L'Enfant et de L'Adolescent)Their Medical professionals (psychiatrists) in France mostly (not always) treat ADHD with a psychotherapy or family counseling approach.Diagnosing ADHDTo Date there is NO scientifically proven(solid science) diagnostic test for ADHD — no blood analysis, no proven brain scan, no genetic screening to definitively diagnose ADHD.*Both views (France and North America) look at behaviour to diagnose.North American percent of ADHD prevalence 11% in 2011In France it is less than 1%Although there is no global consensus follow link below to meta-regression analyses of estimated worldwide prevalenceADHD Epidemiology | ADHD Institute

Why do experts say that ADD/ADHD doesn't exist after decades of research and patients?

I think the main reason for the denial is ignorance even experts have bias and many fall into the trap of jumping to conclusions on anecdotal evidence. All kids show some of the symtoms so it's easy to blame parents/diet and just plain bad behaviour. The reality is there is a considerable amount of hard ( empirical) evidence that it is a nerulogical disorder. That's not to say we understand the cause and I would be very surprised that a future paradyne shift will have it renamed as our understanding expands.

My dad doesn’t believe ADHD exists I obviously have it and he doesn’t listen to me. What should I do?

There isn’t much you can do. I have ADD and Dyslexia, my son has ADHD, and daughter has ADHD and Dyslexia. My father just doesn’t believe in it. He walked out of a family meeting with my therapist when I was a teenager when they tried to talk about my ADD. He threw out my medication for it when I visited him. Nothing could convince him that it was real or that I was coping with it. To him, it was just my mother making things up to somehow make him look bad. He never got that it wasn’t about him, it was about me and what I had to do to focus on things like school or explain why I was such a clumsy kid or why to this day my 49 year old self STILL can’t tell her right from her left without thinking about it for a second. The best thing you can do is find some support in those that do understand what’s going on and treat it in a way that’s best for you. Maybe someday your dad will come around and be willing to listen to you about your ADHD. For now, find others that can help you. Get tutors if you need them. Get an official diagnosis so you can get extra help at school or at work. Find ways to cope on your own and remember that there is a chance that if you have kids, they have a chance at it as well.Good luck and hang in there, you have plenty of company in this situation.
