Do I Have Hypoglycemia Are These Symptoms

Hypoglycemia: signs & symptoms?

I have low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). My blood sugar typically registers around 70. At times when I've not managed it well enough, I've experienced a sudden feeling of hunger so severe that I feel like I'm going to vomit. During those times I've also been extremely weak, sometimes to the point of feeling paralyzed. Point is...learn the glycemic index and eat small amounts of food throughout the day. Further...avoid alcohol, as it overdoses your body on sugar and then you'll have the opposite problem...too much sugar for your body to process at once. Before I knew I had low blood sugar, I made the mistake of having two drinks before dinner...and was unconscious for a few minutes until a companion poured 6 sugar packets in my mouth. The condition is serious and can be scary...yet controllable once you know a few basics and eat regular, small amounts through the day.

Good luck!

What are the symptoms of Reactive Hypoglycemia?

When you have hypoglycemia, your body is in a state of having too my insulin and not enough sugar.

The reactive part of this comes when you eat something high in sugar such as a candy bar or soda and your body creates a lot of insulin to process it. The sugars are taken care of very quickly then the insulin does not get the signal to stop their processing. The insulin can then actually try to process other parts of the body such as muscle cells.

The syptoms of this are Nausia, Feeling hot when the temperature is normal, Feeling nervous, jittery, or just plan blah. Your heartbeat may speed up, You might feel dizzy, confused, or unsteady. In severe cases, you could actually pass out, go into a coma, or in very rare cases, it could be fatal.

If it is caused by taking in to much sugar, it can often be countered ahead of time by taking in a good quantity of protein at the same time. For example, instead of M&M's, you might see if Peanut M&M's (peanuts have protein) are better and do not cause the reaction. It varies from person to person though, and your best bet is to consult your physician. Do not rely on Yahoo! Answers for medical advice.

What are the symptoms of hypoglycemia?

Hypoglycemia may also be referred to as an insulin reaction, or insulin shock.Hypoglycemic symptoms are important clues that you have low blood glucose. Each person's reaction to hypoglycemia is different, so it's important that you learn your own signs and symptoms when your blood glucose is low.The only sure way to know whether you are experiencing hypoglycemia is to check your blood glucose, if possible. I have the symptoms of Hypoglycemia but my blood tests are negative?

You can pick up a glucometer at the drug store to check your blood sugar when you are having symptoms of low blood sugar. You can document these readings and take them back to your doctor during your visit. If you find that your blood sugar readings are normal despite the feeling of low blood sugar, it could be a number of causes, including stress/anxiety.

It is entirely possible that your blood sugar is in fact low when you are symptomatic. The blood tests at the doctor won't pick this up if your blood sugar is not low at that moment the blood is drawn. A glucometer will tell you immediately and at the time of symptoms if your blood sugar is low or not.

What are hypoglycemic attacks? And what are the symptoms and treatment?

Hypoglycemic attacks are periods when your blood glucose (sugar) level falls below what's considered 'normal'.

The symptoms include such things as confusion, feeling 'jittery', profuse sweating, visual disturbances, rapid heartbeat, loss of consciousness, coma, death.

The treatment is to take in some fast-acting carbohydrates, such as sweetened soda/pop or orange juice. This should be followed up with something more substantial, such as a peanut butter sandwich. This would, in all likelihood, prevent the blood glucose level from falling back down to cause symptoms.

There is usually no need to get to a hospital unless there is loss of consciousness. All they'd do to treat it is give you a glucose drink, if conscious, or a glucagon injection if you're unconscious.

If this happens to you frequently, you need to see your doctor so that s/he can run tests to find out exactly which type of hypoglycemia you have.

The treatment for the most common type of hypoglycemia ... reactive hypoglycemia ... is to advise you that you should be eating smaller, but more frequent meals throughout the day.

If you suffer with an insulin-producing growth, surgery MAY be required.

Therefore, these people will need insulin injections to allow their body to process glucose and avoid complications from hyperglycemiaType 2 Diabetes : OVER INSULIN PRODUCTIONPeople with type 2 diabetes do not respond well or are resistant to insulin. Pancreas produce same, or sometimes more insulin than normal body producescan you saw that difference in cause of type 1 & 2 diabetes. And between these two diabetes is Type 1.5 DiabetesType 1.5 Diabetes: LESS PRODUCTION OF INSULINPancreas are producing enough insulin to stay well, but that insulin are very small in quantity and unable to maintain normal blood sugar of body.i will share in detail about diabetes and how medical industries trying you to chew their medication to make them rich.choice is yours DRUG VS DIEThello friends if you want to reverse your Diabetes, drop a mail at alokumar005@gmail.com , i helped many people to reverse their diabetes, every where around you is a conspiracy to sell Medication & Drug. and these drug can only cure your symptoms not your actual cause of your diabetes. with healthy diet plan you can throw diabetes completely from your body. stay away from all drug. they are silent killer.i help people to reverse their diabetes and live drug free healthy life. my name alok kumar , i am Diet & Diabetes educator. mail me at alokumar005@gmail.com so that i can assist you best to reverse your diabetes completely. good day.

What are the symptoms for Hypoglycemia and Hyperglycemia???

Hypoglycemia: nervousness, irritated, dizzy......

Hyperglycemia: thirsty, faint

see lists below

What disease has these symptoms? Hypoglycemia, migraines, aching muscles, and Raynaud's Syndrome?

I am not a doctor; I am only a pharmacy student. I think the Raynaud's Syndrome and the high ANA suggest it is probably an autoimmune disorder of some sort. So do the list of other sort of "nonspecific" symptoms. Maybe something like lupus, or perhaps a different one. I hate to name a specific disease, because there are many different autoimmune disorders & it could be anything. Of course, I could be wrong & it may not be autoimmune. I think maybe you should see a rheumatologist, however.

Hypoglycemia? I have too many symptoms... I need serious advice?

Obviously I need to go to the doctor but I just want to make sure that these are the symptoms of hypoglycemia...
1) I have a horrible memory
2) I get really depressed often
3) I usually automatically say stuff when someone is speaking to me (like if they say "whats up" I say "nothing" but I usually have no memory of actually saying this.... or when my friend says "I'm going to my friend's house" I usually say something like "Ya same here" <-- even though I'm not)
4)I wake up at about 4:00 AM... then continue to keep waking up every hour (at 4:00 AM i have to pee, then every hour I have to keep peeing.. after I sleep)
5)I get really hungry REALLY fast.... especially after I pee or when I drink a lot of water
6)I feel like puking in the morning
7) I get nocturnal emissions every time I have to pee (At night ofcourse)

I need some serious advice.
I'm going to go see the doctor tomorrow... but I don't want to explain the nocturnal emissions in front of my mom. <--I'm 15
