Do I Have Lottery Winning Chances Plz Im Indebted

If I win 1 million dollars from the lottery, what would be the wisest way to spend my money?

This question represents a thought-process that is somewhat separate from my own. If you had used almost any other word other than "spend" in your question, my answer might be completely different. You could have asked how you should store/keep the money, or how to invest it, or maybe just a generic question about how best to "use" it.The fact that you used the word "spend" concerns me a little. $1M is enough money to shake a stick at, and before I recommend spending any of it, I would have to recommend a few things. So without further ado, I'm going to instead answer the following question:"What are all the things I should do with my newly won $1M, BEFORE spending any of it?"Pretend, for the purposes of your spending/budgeting that you have exactly as much money as you did before winning the million.Ask yourself where you need money in your life, if anywhere. Are you struggling to get enough food to eat? Are you in debt? Are you making it month-to-month but can't afford some type of other need in your life?Determine how much you need to pay off your debt, or monthly to fill the gap in your current budgetary needs. Don't inflate it, don't understate it either. Just be honest with yourself about what you actually NEED, right now and in the semi-immediate future. Take care of those things.Invest. Invest as much as you possibly can of everything remaining. It doesn't even really matter how you invest the money, but I'd recommend something that doesn't require you to have a lot of knowledge in a certain area of investing.Take whatever you're not able to invest right now, and make a plan for how you will invest it in the mid-term. Go spend $200 on a nice dinner with you and a loved one or two. Go to the movies afterward. Get some ice cream.Continue living your life, with a probably much larger sense of security in your day-to-day existence. Don't worry about bills, but try not to increase them too much either. Here's the thing. $1M is a lot of money - I'm not disputing that. But if you are currently worth less than $1M, and your net worth suddenly becomes $1M more than it was before, your first thoughts should have nothing to do with spending. You can make that money work for you by clearing your immediate monetary concerns, and mitigating any future monetary concerns (through investing). THEN go celebrate. Money won't change your life as much as you think it will - unless you spend it all, inflating your standard of living above what you can actually afford.

Do you get kicked out of the military if you win the lottery?

The military doesn't automatically discharge members who win the lottery, but in general the soldier requests it. The discharge is honorable and is under Chapter 5, Separation for the Convenience of the Government, AR 635-200.

I have not personally handled, but I have known a few cases like this have happened.

On a similar note, I discharged a guy who was picked up to play minor league baseball. The military was not obligated, but allowed him to leave.

If a soldiers wins the lottery, doesn't request a separation and develops behavior issues, he could be kicked out for those behavior issues which will have nothing to do with winning the lottery.

If you won 1 billion in the lottery, what would you do?

I would get everyone in my family a really nice house, anyone can go to school now, no matter the age.I would have helicopters to fly us between mansions, and we would never have to work again. All this under HALF the winnings. The rest would go into me starting my own dispensary and cannabis line across Canada and someday America, and funding my own animated series, giving countless people jobs.I would travel the world, sharing my wealth with missionaries and churches and poor nations all over the world,I work write many books and have a personal trip across America, leaving my dog’s paw print in every state as a tribute to her recent passing.I would start a scholarship for people who were like me, not the best in a school environment but great artists.I would donate to many charities, such as ADD/ADHD, Autism, and Alzheimer’s Disease research. So that leaves me with around $300 million to retire on along with whatever money I make from my art and my products.

What do you plan on majoring in?

Since i am 20 and not getting any younger.. I've decided I might look into colllege. Just community.. though I am nervous cause of my learning disorder.. I need a future career.

I've been thinking a lot about Film/Photography. The program is 2 years then if I want I can move to a different school. My friend went to Los Angeles arts Institute for Film/Photography he said it was great.

He gets to meet actors and see movies before they hit theaters plus he gets passes to movie festivals :)

Why must lottery tickets be bought with cash?

It's a small attempt to protect the poor and the ignorant.

Those 2 classes of people are the biggest source of revenue for the lottery companies. Do you realize that the poor spend a higher percentage of their income on lottery tickets than ANY other class of people? I know that the "ignorant" are not actually a class of people, but it's the ignorant who are also pouring tons of their money into this.

Lottery tickets are the WORST bet on the planet. No other standard form of betting even comes close to being as bad. For every dollar spent, the buyer will only "win" back about 50% of what they spend. So the more money you spend on these tickets, the closer to ZERO your chances are to ever being a winner.

SOMEWHERE along the way the lottery made ONE decent rule, (or perhaps it was a law passed), that says we can't have these poor and ignorant slobs racking up credit card debt because we've hooked them into playing this horrible game. They KNOW they are taking these people to the cleaners anyway. It just wouldn't be right to allow them to go DIRECTLY into debt because of these tickets. (Many go into debt anyway because they rack up credit card bills because they spend all their regular income on lottery tickets, leaving them nothing left to pay bills except for credit!)

Arts Institute Online (AIO) vs University of Maryland College Online (UMUC) Especially for DC resident.?

Ok I am transfering AIO to UMUC. I am here giving out comparisons for cost of Degree from both and are online colleges. I am from DC which all 50 states required DC as an instate so I only pay Instate tuition fees and not out of state..

AIO: For Profit private college
Regionally Acredited: Yes.
Cost:
$470 per credit hour
$100 lab fee
Sessions: 5.5 weeks.
Associations degree from my experience without transfering credit is $45k. My boss who goes to Arts Institute Of Washington for BA in Game Designing his full BA Tuition is $95k.

Now that I am about to transfer, which I mentioned above that most of my school credits for graphic designing from AIO will be able to transfered to UMUC, already got it setup with the UMUC advisors and they sent me infos on which credits will be transferable from AIO.

UMUC: Non - Profit Community College
Regionally Credited: Yes
Per Credit Hour: In state - $251 out of state- $499
Lab Fees required for enrollment in BIOL 230, 331, 355, 356, 435, 437, and 438; BSCI 105, 106, 201, 202, 223, 230, and 424; CHEM 103, 113, 132, 232, 233, 242, and 243
is $40.
Technology Fee is. $15
Sessions: 8 weeks
This is alot cheaper especially for DC residents as for Bachelor Degree in Graphic Communication is only $31k , compared to AIO AA in Graphic Designing which runs up to $45k. I was going for AA in Graphic Designing with AIO til I found a cheaper not to mention a better known school. UMUC and CTC (Central Texas College) both known on alot of military bases throughout the world and both are regionally credited. AIO is also Regionally Credited too but not well known in the Business World for Job Marketing like UMUC and CTC. However AIO basic Graphic Designings will transfer, so far I have Electronic Designing, Digital Image Manipulation, Typography, Fundamentals of Designs, and Life Drawing, and also 114 & 115 from web designing courses transfered from AIO to UMUC. And also transferable was my College Algrebra from AIO. This also transfered to CTU Colorado Tech University Online, but also with UMUC.

Art Institute of ATL vs SCAD vs GSU (interior design)?

I recently decided to take up studies in Interior design. I've looked up schools in GA in the Atlanta region, and found that AI, SCAD, and Georgia State would be my best options if I were to commute.
Took a tour of Art Institute today, and despite the accusations of the school being fraudulent, I did my research and they are accredited by the CIDA, as with SCAD.
On the other hand Georgia State is not accredited by the CIDA, but by NASAD, while the other two mentioned are not. I was wondering the importance of not being accredited by one or the other.

My initial plan is leaning more toward attending AI to be economical and knock out a few classes, maybe even start a portfolio for scholarship opportunities for transferring to SCAD. I was wondering if anyone else had gone this route and how much of the credits transferred? Or any other opinions from an interior design student whose attended these schools. I'm just a little weary of attending AI because of its negative reputation, and I want to avoid from being in knee-high debt from SCAD

If you wake up tomorrow and realize you have won the lottery, what are the first three things you would do?

I wouldn’t tell a single soul. Seriously, not a single person. The only people that would know by default are the lottery people paying me the money, and maybe the bank manager who happened to look up my payment history. And to minimise the chance of bank staff snooping around, I would get the money paid into a specific account, transfer it to four other accounts (none of which is from the original bank), then close the original account - so that bank staff don’t know where my money.I would not tell my partner, I would not tell any of my family members, regardless of how close I am to them. I would instead start a small business, and give everyone the impression that my business is doing well.I would go on nice holidays, buy a good (not too lavish house, maybe £1–2 million, but anyone asks how I afford it, I would say business / company has been performing well.Eventually, after much enjoyment, I would have to leave this Earth, and then I would simply share my wealth equally between my wife, kids and siblings - and in their mind the source of that money will always be that strange succesful “business” I ran.Money changes people, and even more so, when those people think you got that money easily.Never, ever, ever… give people the impression that you obtained money easily.Always make them believe you sweated and worked your ass off for that money - that way their mentality towards you will be different. Rather think they deserve a share of your easy wealth, they’ll have some respect for the amount of “hard-work” you put in to get that money, and that will make them more cautious about asking you for some.
